Remember you can't just ask the priest a Hawkethorne to marry you to your horse wife, only Cait can do that
Now if she were a real stalker and because of that, she always is there when you need her, now that would be a fun plot point

Some players reported that their version of fem Hirrud is bugged, maybe is that, also, did you talk with the people at the bars in Khor'minos?, any of them can give you the news that Hirrud is around and then you can find him in that place, if that doesn't work, possible bugged till the dev team fix him

Not recruiting her or leaving her at the tavern is a pretty easy way to avoid it

Yeah did a series of posts documenting her unwanted appearances without hiring her, and that's still my main save file. She basically stops appearing though after the mid-point of the game. I think Sav got bored of her, and moved on to try pushing his knock off Brienne (Livrea) when he saw how popular Brienne was. But early game the assumption is you have to have her, so a lot of companion content referenced her. She sometimes appears as a threesome option for new characters, and obviously there's a bunch of quests that can't be done without her, one of only two characters that have major content gated behind them (if you count Brint's family as major content).
She also replaced Gwyn as the village midwife for some writers, so depending on what knocks you up, and how often, you may see a lot more of her. I imagine this as Cait, desperate to be relevant again, smashing her way into the nursery and locking Gwyn out, who has to go off and beg Garth to kick Cait out again so she can do her job. But then, in my head cannon of unrecruited Cait, she's this sex-fiending homeless person who just lives at the tavern and randomly injects herself into other people's lives, hoping anyone finds her interesting or takes her out back for a quickie.

Hmm.... well I've never done that Kitsune content. The idea of reading all that text that TOBS cooked up is unappealing. So no issue with Nakano.

Brint never cucked me before I tossed his ass in the deep end of the gender swap, so no issue with him.

Kasyrra is the love of my life in this game. Don't @ me.

No opinion on Lumia since I ain't got much time with her under my belt. But thick, dark skinned, with white hair is a weakness of mines. So she might get a gooner pass regardless.

Same would be with Mallach on no opinion. But he's the God of Cait and the groomer squad. So fuck em by association.

Only time I've really dealt with Evergreen is when I needed her for a quest. So no real issue.

All that leaves is Cait.... my irrational dislike of her remains pure and unfettered.

Since we're mentioning characters popping up when they shouldn't I'll let everyone know that there are instances of Brint doing the same as Cait. I recently started a new playthrough and didn't recruit him. He's just a guest at the tavern, but he has appeared a few times for interactions where he isn't present. One of which was when I went to the temple to talk to Sanders and the content of him getting his Green Knight set, or whatever it is called, interrupted me trying to get to the next part of a quest. It shouldn't be possible, but it did happen.

I think this is a sign you need to do your own indepth exploration. I'm certainly not going to start another full playthrough at this point. But then I guess it's not too surprising since they are the two OG starting companions.

That is Savin MO basically. Find a new flavor of the month, obsess over them, then get bored and obsess over the next flavor of the month.

Though in his defense, at least his flavors are actual flavors. Wsan is futadom #3024924, B is just an empty shell with barely the faintest hint of flavor. Sure, Savin also like futas, sure he also tends to write sluts, Cait and Liv are basically the same character. But I contend that Savin at least experiments far more than the other writers. That much I give him. He still has the tendency to get bored easily and shove his characters off onto new writers/fan submissions, but at least they feel different enough to get interest in the first place.

Problems come about from the fact that his new favourite of the month gets disproportionate amounts of support and content compared to other characters and plotlines, so you best hope he sticks with them long enough to actually finish them. That, or he just writes their plotlines off like he did with Cait "Sister? What sister?" and also Cait "Just because I run a temple, doesn't mean I'm gonna change". And lets not forget that both Cait and Livrea get crowbared into plots. Cait with two pretty sizeable chunks of content locked behind her, and Livrea now being the go-to Khorminos character for plot points/dumps.

If you go to either tavern in khorminos proper, you’ll get prompted by the bartender of either establishment that he’s in the outskirts if you’ve completed the missing meows quest. He’ll show up as a star next to the soldiers playing cards and you can either fight him and be rid of him or bring some bimbo brew to transform him
