Some one liked a sarcastic comment I made in this thread 5 years ago, so I figured I'd pop in to see how you're all doing, and my brothers, I hope you are all fresh pall bearers to the complaint-torch, elsewise your endurance to still call tobs a shit five years and an Iliad of self righteous literary masturbation later transcends any worth or meaning found within SavinCo or its ilk. With tenacity like that I sure hope at least some among you are doing something positive for yourselves.

Honestly pretty fair, it is weird considering how much sav and co love their dominate women that the text book definition of "dominate woman" has zero scenes let alone a naked bust. You would have thought they would have added a scene where she Amazon presses the PC after her side quest but nope.
Since when? there is like only 4 dominate women themed npcs in the game and one them you don't even fuck and another is imp that doesn't talk.
Meanwhile the game is drowning in submissive and somewhat submissive themed women npcs and they barely have any femdom scenes for the PC.

Seriously though, I need this man.
I don't wanna cuck the guy, honestly, one of the best npc in the game but at the same time, monogamy suddenly matters?, I admit it's kind of cute how they sneak outside to meet each other from time to time but we are in Savarra were freaking sex demons ain't winning fast enough due to how corrupted everyone already is

What I'm saying is that I should be allowed to bend him over the tables as a thank you for being nice because that's pretty common in that setting

Why is it that a lot of negative aspects of the game can be traced back to Tobs? Does he just not think about what effects his actions or ideas will have going forward?
He approached the scene with a shotgun that has some sort of weird magnet aim towards anything positive and someone keeps giving him bullets.

With tenacity like that I sure hope at least some among you are doing something positive for yourselves.
Well, of course. Can't exactly blow your life only complaining about this, after all.

I'm certainly going to try. I just wish this game reaches it's potential even if it's a pipedream.

He does it on purpose.

In case y'all haven't read his ethos, this was what he said about Kinu and Kiyoko respecting the champ's pronouns and about his writing in general.

A final addendum to my point here, since it's been brought up: I'm not here to be "inclusive", I'm not here to accommodate everyone, and in fact, a good chunk of my writing does question and offend post-modern sensibilities, if less visible than the champion's role in the fox family. Ragnild has absolutely no belief in any rights or dignity of Man and simply opposes slavery because she believes it weakens the Kervus. The foxen are an entire ball of racial-based classes and castes, xenophobia, and divine right monarchy. Etc, etc, etc. I don't care about giving offense to people, because the only way to not give offense to someone is to appeal to the milquetoast lowest common denominator and remove the possibility of asking deeper questions and staying true to the writing. That, and social approval is really quite irrelevant to me. If anything, quite the opposite, given that I can be quite the nasty-minded psychic vampire given the proper motivation.

I am not here to unite, I am here to divide. And it shows in that my characters are amongst the most-discussed and debated amongst the players in this forum and discord, with people on both sides of every issue; they are loved, they are hated, and the issues underlying them from immigrant identity to the importance of suffering discussed in detail.

As I've pointed out in our discord, the Steam sales data in the period surrounding the controversy at the time of the game's release conclusively proves that catering to and ignoring the outrage brigade has absolutely no bearing on our sales trends and numbers whatsoever, so that argument does not hold water in the least.

I have been accused of being homophobic no less than three times in the roughly two years that Garret has been released because he declines to have sex with guys despite being a bara. There certainly have been more than a few requests for m/m content with him. Could I turn him bi? I could take a day or two and write some scenes with him bottoming, that is for sure. But then he wouldn't be Garret anymore, so I don't give a damn.

I have been accused of being making light of the disabled -- oops, "differently abled" with Rindo's content, because apparently people who suffer horrific injuries are not allowed to heal physically and emotionally, and instead must spend the rest of their days wallowing and letting their misfortune define their existence. Could I not have Rindo have half her body burnt off, or alternatively, portray her as an ass-kicking warrior woman with her scars? Sure, but she wouldn't be Rindo any more.

Could I have made Nakano less xenophobic and less of a pastiche of the Japanese stereotype and make people more comfortable with him? Well, yes. But I wouldn't have been able to bring out that aspect of being caught between his beliefs, loyalties, love and duties, and bring out the tragedy within.

Anyone is free to disagree with how I handle my content, voice their opinions, and vote with their wallets (although, as above, the data shows that this isn't significantly relevant anyway). Where possible, I've tried to be reasonable and accommodate alternatives which don't strike against the core conceit of the writing -- magicock, quietly passing the orb onto fox-god and resolving it that way, etc, etc. But no -- while it is the most visible issue, partially because it's related to the cause du jour, I am not changing it, as I am not changing any of my other work in the same vein.

Go for it!
Vary your sentence structure a little bit. Some paragraphs here do contain a lot of "character does this" followed by "character then does this". It feels little monotone reading it back to back. It is the begging two that catch my attention.

Also, just a suggestion:
"Your words catch the attention of the large queen, her black eyes giving you her attention while the hands pulling teasingly on her nipples stop."

You used 'attention' two times since I assume you want to emphasize queens shifting her, well, attention towards the champ. And it works, it is good, but I think you could put even more emphasis on it.

"Your words catch the attention of the large queen, who in return gives you her attention while the hands pulling teasingly on her nipples stop."

Yeah, so nothing much more to add on my end. I like what I read even if I am not into driders. Hope it gets in.

He does it on purpose.

I remember that thread.

Well, thankfully that at least the pronounce debacle got sorted not soon after. The way Kiyoko/Kinu case so violently went against rest of the game was him probably at his most stubborn.

I hate to say this but Tobs don't really look bad from that post and he's kinda right, what he does wrong is how the Champ reacts to all of that.
What do you mean? Look, I am all for supporting writers individual voices, and Savin already gives a lot of leeway when it comes to how one goes about expressing their view on the champ and their NPC interaction. Yet, still, this is a game that tries to be LGBTQ+ friendly so for a character, a companion no less, to ignore their lovers pronouns while no one else does... You see why that can be perceived as problematic at least?

Not every character have to be for everybody. What's wrong if one wolf guy is straight? The pronoun thing is out of pocket though, I'm not gonna say anything else about this because I won't argue to defend Tobs

Because in a game that already massively favors women over men, making one of the few sexable, male npcs locked behind gender sucks ass :(

I have to agree. There's no point in changing your style or writing things you don't want to write for people that demand it 'or else'. If you want to write stories about butterflies, it's fine when everyone's just like, "Bruh, why don't you write about caterpillars? I'd totally buy your story if you had a caterpillar!" After the first two times you say, "Because I don't want to write about caterpillars. I want to write about butterflies," you should stop trying to cater to them. Most of the time they aren't even really your readers (or even own the game). God forbid they offer you a commission to write something or actually pay for the game.

I swear, I've listened to people on the forums declare that every NPC has to be open to every possible sex scene, partner, or position and not realize a diverse game is one that has many NPCs that can each offer something without all being generic beanbags. A diverse group is many people, not one person checking every box.

True, but the good thing, is that there is room and opportunity for more men of that type. Just because someone writes a believable, good-looking man (partly blame Moira or DCL if the image gets you hot), but their NPC does not like anal (for whatever reason, maybe anal killed his parents). It makes more sense to ask for more characters and not to have an author or artist change their work or vision.

It shouldn't come down to an writer not being able to write their vision because "Someone else didn't write a different character." This isn't like, "There's already seven NPCs like this." It's like, "You can't make a guy that likes blowjobs... because you didn't write a handjob, mating press, lesbian cuddle, and anal scene all at once... and because no one else has either." It makes no sense. It's like saying, "Oh, why not just have Zo and Ivaze talk. I bet they'd have great voices and could say sexy things and comment on how awesome the Champ is at sexing them. I like to hear woman praising me, you're not being inclusive!" The answer is, "Because it's Zo and Ivaze, and that's how they are."
