But seriously, no point in really dwelling on the subject. Dunno why I spoke on it in the first place; I really usually just don't care about dev drama one way or the other.

Anyway, the next major content is Lumia quest, being coded now. New soulbound transformation (only Nareva left after this), a bunch of new characters, new goddess to interact with and thus probably a bunch of new lore, etc. Supposed to be pretty beefy, and Alypia and Gardeford have been working on it for like a year, so it'll probably be a few patches worth of stuff.

It'll also have Alypia's second actual full character after Serena. and I really liked Serena. Alypia is pretty much the only writer who actually seems to go for romances that actually develops in stages (based on the one example I got) so I'm pretty interested to see this.

Also, since Wsan is still tied up on Brihaus, I don't think the arena is coming anytime too soon. Pretty sure at this point KM is going to extend into mid-2023, as I'm pretty sure we've only hit the halfway point. Still have the slums and the noble quarter to go; and there's supposed to be a bar, another brothel, the arena, the palace, and a KM dungeon somewhere in there.

Holy fuck nobody tell TOBS
I don't get why Savin and Tobs keeps dunking on TiTS about bars and shops being having fuckable owners/employees. TiTS takes place on a corporate hedonist dystopia where body modification is a hobby, alien species who independently evolved in different planets can cross-breed, and almost every sapient race you meet has pheromones that can get you into a fuck-frenzy, and they come in different shapes and sizes! Hell, can get you horny if you hold onto it long enough. Why is it weird if most people are dtf?

IIRC it's not that the vendors were dtf, but the places in question are uninspiring and boring when it comes to fleshing out the world. Least I think that's what TOBS said. Though I don't think anybody on this dev team should try and give lessons about world-building when they're using the most cookie-cutter High Fantasy setting with characters and locations as flat as a board.

I think that just means Tobs can't write a decent shopkeep :KEK:

Also I don't think people should get world building advice from the main writer of the weeb donut steel race. Makes me miss the Kitsune from the original CoC, just a bunch of devious tricksters and seductresses that will show you a good time.

Well, Business owners and their customers usually talk a lot with each other, so...

Also of note that the Valk transformation won't be for male characters. Idk if that means you just can't get it, or it will turn you into a female or futa if you're male.

The Nareva transformation will be futa/dickgirl I think.

Are Valk and Nareva new races? or characters?

Valkyries are a race in the frost area, Nareva is another goddess and gets her own "deal" thing, where the player character gives her their soul & gets transformed (like the Kitsune thing).

Oh lmao I’d never seen “valkyrie” abbreviated as “valk”.

Valk is the term they use a lot on the Discord server.

The valkyries are going to be winged angelic warrior fertility goddesses, basically.

The Astrida (Narevas transformation) are dickgirl salamanders like the ones we met in BerryQuest.

The valkyrie in game are just winged borial elves but you won't get called a wyld elf which is what the game does to you now. Which is stupid, oh you are 99.9% borial elf but have a single animal trait well that must be a beast mark *facepalm*

Yup, but not like there are many differences between the races when it comes to animal-eared folk. Cait could be a wyld elf with cat ears and nothing would change about her. Honestly, most races in this game don't have much going for them.
And even when you have something (frigid vagina e.g.) it doesn't matter, it has not only no impact on scenes whatsoever, but it's not even acknowledge by the NPCs.

Wyld elves feel so redundant when there's all those furry and or fantasy races running along too.
The main problem is that wyld elves can have any of a billion traits from various different animals. If wyld elves had only a few specific non-human characteristics (e.g. just hooves and antlers, like Lorwyn elves), then they would have a clearer spot among the other races.

I suspect it might have to do with the wiki: each transormative lists what body parts it affects, but doesn’t give any details (e.g. I don’t think the wiki says a feline cock has barbs), so it’s hard to know exactly what a transformation does unless you’ve tried it out yourself in-game. Frigid vagina is a boreal elf trait, I presume? I vaguely remember some mention of it in either Hethia or Daliza scenes (don’t think Elthara has any references to it), but I didn’t know the PC could get it too.

As someone who’s trying to submit for the game, I’d be interested in hearing more about these kinds of traits I might not be aware of, if you (or others) would be so inclined.

I know this might be controversial but the kid killing thing didn't seem that bad to me within context as I don't know the characters had no connection to them so to be honest I didn't care what Gweyr did. Also lets be honest prior to the start of CoC there was a lot of killing in Mareth from the demons so I think people are a little harsh on ToBS for this particular point. Any party member being broken in front of my player character has way more impact especially in the context of quotes from ToBS from discord.
You make very good points and I mostly with your post however Gweyr doesn't feel any remorse for the child murder, that itself wouldn't be a problem however when she returns to town. She stays in a nursery full of children. Mainly my children in there. I don't uncomfortable with a literal child murderer being around children, especially my own.

I'm not trying to drag this on but your comment just didn't sit right with me.

I wanna add to that it is not just a random occurrence that the player usually doesn't get to do that, and story wise it's said that it is really frowned upon in the world where the sequel plays out, so I think that point is actually invalid. Just because it was a thing in the first game it doesn't mean it fits in the second automatically.

Edit: Killing in general, let alone slaughtering a whole bunch of minors when it's very unlikely that was the only solution, no matter what the murderess herself says.

We know they were brainwashed/not thinking right & Gweyr herself said it wasn't a challenge. She could beat them till their bones broke, she could beat them bloody and some would die by accident but no, she choose to kill them all and it was all for nothing. She murdered half the youth, traumatized Sanders and all who lost someone from her slaughter, and nearly destroyed the town for nothing. I am pretty sure she was even asked if she would have done the same if her kids were amongst the group. Honestly, you could easily rework her into a tragic villain over trying to make characters say she was good or should be allowed within 200 feet of a daycare.
