usually don't seek opportunities to caterwaul insistently about fetishes they don't like when they're that underrepresented.

There's not exactly many other fetishes in this game to be complained about. This isn't CoC where your dick can be possessed or there was mindbreak, slavery, incest, forced TFs, etc etc.
You should have seen the rabble-rousing the worms were capable of inducing.

That's the usual sandblasting of edges when people get a little bit afraid of harsh edges.
You see it in a lot of different mediums. Though in CoC2 with how hard they've mangled the very concept of corruption somebody could point to that kind of post and be right.
It's the same in spirit to some dev saying that because corruption isn't massively liked it shouldn't be done.
Though it's consistently voted more then both males and group sex, both of which vastly outnumber it.
Then we could look at how Skow made an entire group sex dungeon
and
, assuming the reception hasn't killed all momentum behind it, the eventual expansion and compare word counts to what a theoretical corruption expansion of an NPC would look like and just accept all those excuses for the malarkey that they are.
As ever, this game should have never been labelled Corruption of Champions 2.
At this point, I believe even CoC1 era Savin, back when "Cait" was "Caede", would have turned out like this.
