I swear for the life of me there was some cuckshit planned for her....

Ah, right, she has a her own harem of Wyverns...
Yeah, but if I remember right knocking her up you were basically gonna pull a Helia with her where she knocks that shit off and just lives in the Inn being a babymaker for you. Again, it was a very juicy bone that no one gets to have now. It would have definitely made up for at least... I dunno, half of the bullshit he put in the game.

Not to stir shit, but did you miss where that says "ENTIRELY TENTATIVE"? As in, not guaranteed to happen? Meaning that the chances he completes everything on that list is low or at least not certain?

And frankly, with Savin's track record, I can't blame anyone who wants to doubt him when he claims to want to work on something in the nebulous future.

This remained unchanged for years. I don't know who, but someone complained about it persistently enough that they went and changed that encounter.
I would like to add (with great relish) that this is pretty much the last thing Bubs added before they disappeared.

A parade of donut steel losers (and somehow hitting it right with Ihzalti) then him making his OC a little bit less special as a anticlimactic last contribution.

What's strange to me about all this crap about the writers is that they seem almost offended by the player having agency. They want things to happen their way and no other way. In a text-based RPG. If this were a short story, or hell, even just a visual novel or something, a lot of these problems would go away because the expectation of player agency and choice isn't there. But they chose the one medium, and a genre in said medium, where player choice is expected and then get pissy when people react poorly to having things forced on them. Nobody forced them to make it an RPG! Or even a game!

Don't get me wrong, they're still shitty writers so they'd still fuck things up, but you wouldn't have an RPG that's fundamentally bad at all parts of the arcronym.
It's strange to me as well. I used to wonder why some people don't like OC's in general. But i think i slowly get it.
Despite game having character creation, naming options, it certainly seems that some of the writers would rather strip the player character of any and all agency when it comes to them interracting with characters they write for.
They'd rather treat it as visual novel of sorts, and not a game that claims to allow player characters to make their own journey.

I think some of the writers would rather be writing for visual novel of sorts that's just collection of scenes displaying the characters they write for, because there's a lot of characters that just exist in their own bubbles, not to make the world feel more livable and full, but they're just sorta there. And your player character is mostly third wheeling for them in all scenes.

I just find it strange. If i was writing for this game, i'd just add characters that can reasonably adjust to player character, i wouldn't add two characters that all but groan and complain they have a scene with player character. Nor would i add characters that can for the most only be interracted through bottoming through their scenes.

Not all of the content is like that. But there's a reason it feels like fanfiction for the OC's at times. And "player character" is just there to more easily sell the game to wider range of people.

It's pretty simple, to be honest.

Think of any game where you design your own character and play through it using it. Probably almost all of those games will have the same goal of being the hero, the top guy, the world icon, the main event world champ, all that jazz.

And that's the case because it's fun. It's good to get some wild accomplishment against some proper opposition. Some recent games decided to subvert it somewhat by fucking over your character every now and then, look them up and you'll find people aren't very pleased over that because it's stuff they really can't do anything about.

CoC2 is essentially looking at that vitriol and going "...hm, can you add a horse dick to that?". Hence why it's so easy to dislike the OCs in this, they're the perfect vehicle to generate vitriol and, even worse, apathy.

The sort of apathy that lead people to look at this and go "Oh, fuck this", delete the game and never look back.

That last bit is exactly what it is. Game is full of fanfiction writers, who have their own personal characters and stories to tell. Issue being, lot of them want to be the MC of their stories. But they can't quite go full retard with it. Since other people are paying the bills, this is a game for those other people, and them other people want to play MC. So you have the clash of NPCs, who have a MC vibe. But can't quite fully fuck you over. They get close, they get some moments, but can never fully take the lead from you.

It's enough to notice and be annoying. But you're technically still the lead! No matter how many times it's like you're riding shotgun.

But don't worry! It's still your car to drive, you're still in the drivers seat.

We just gonna take the wheel here and there. No biggie! It's still all you champ!

I am mostly at apathy by now, i know what the deal is/will be by now.
By now, i just get annoyed, yearly or so, at looking the ignore list of annoying content ingame, and think "damn, that has piled up since last time".
There's some content i never even interracted with, since by dev own admission it was a(paraphrasing a little i think) "saltmine". Nevermind said saltmine being directed at few people, and yet we all gotta deal with it(in theory; i never even looked for amulet). We really never needed things to be that way.

I am glad we can still carve out a chunk of fun out of game, despite ever increasing difficulty. So far anyway. Please don't make fox girl content mandatory to complete final mission.

The only way to know for sure would be to ask Jstar directly in the CoC2 discord. Bro is pretty active there.
The only thing I believe that's coming soon-ish are new Lyric Busts by Moira so that's at least one thing to look forward to.

So I did the lattest dungeon and was wondering: What do you need to do to see the Succubus again?
I did had a sexual combat with her and tried to tame her, but can't make her appear afterwards (she hinted i had to go to sleep alone, was that it?)

Post-quest stuff is rarely included in the same update. I bet none of it has been implemented yet, like the incubus who's suppose to be in the dungeon not being there yet for me.

First of all. I'm not in their discord server, so I'm not privy to whatever they say out there.
Second of all. Shar has been abandoned for 7 years. With Savin himself admitting, several times, that all initial plans of her content were scrapped. Did you know she was supposed to be a companion?
