"
I have a feeling this is going to turn into a repeat of the last two games: a forever unfinished mess of characters created by people who pay for their stories to be written that include characters like chicks with multiple dicks, balls larger than the rest of their bodies, and your male character repeatedly being raped in the ass and impregnated.

The demo doesn't seem like much of an improvement over TiTS. The devs really needs to look at something like Lilith's Throne for an example of where the game should be heading."

"Oh boy, I'm so happy it's made by Savin. At least I can pass this immediately and not be disappointed later"

"All the games have a problem of being bloated and disconnected. There are so many side characters and commissions in the game that are self contained to their own scene with no connection to anything in the world itself. You also have to accept that the creators' pet characters will receive the most attention. If you play these types of games you have to accept that the story will never be clearly focused and that most things in the game will not flow together."

In literally the first 2 pages...man.
Yeah the dead-on accuracy is kinda crazy. After that its 20 pages or so of people just complaining about TiTS, the mods trying to get them to get on topic, and promptly giving up as people continue to beat the proverbial dead horse whenever it's brought up in chat.

man this forum sometimes reads like a comedy book
Comedy is just another mask of tragedy. Of course, this forum is comedic.
Yes but what if we instead slap on the "feature complete" sticker and pretend the character doesn't exist so we can introduce more half-baked characters of our own?
Besides that pitch would take too much coding effort to pull off. You know what doesn't take too much coding effort though? Writing extensive sharing/cuck content with exponentially more lines and conditionals... Gotta account for the rest of your bedicked companions and how they can fuck your love interest in front of you. If you'll lucky though you'll get one of their dicks up your ass so that's gonna be fun.
Yeah, but I try not to focus too much on the now and more on possible shit and interesting ideas. That shit with quin would be great. Just will have to wait until this gets unfinished and have modders add onto it and make it better than it is.

That's what we're all hoping for.

Until then we got Kittypatcher, which gets the job done. It's just sorely lacking in modmakers, which is a shame. Everyone wants the game modded and made better, but nobody actually wants to do it themselves when the option to do so effectively is there. It has its own challenges, but this is what we have to work with when the alternative is an uncertain timeframe where the game might or might not be finished, with no guarantees that the sourcecode will ever be released knowing how Savin is.

I do not know how wide spread this worry is, but my worry would be if a mod got anywhere near popular the devs would throw a shit fit and immediately update the game to break the mod.

Lord of the Rings, as directed by Sam Raimi. He has them get driven around by the ol' rustbucket instead of the Eagles. Bruce Campbell is digitally edited to be tiny to play Frodo. With a tiny chainsaw.
I'd watch it.

I'm not very familiar with how it works but I kind of assumed the modding scene will either wait until the game is done, or close enough to where mods don't require constant updates and fixes every time they release a random nothing patch that changes the game code.

That's my worry too. They have such a hate boner for anything mod related it wouldn't surprise me if they intentionally fucked up their own code just to brick mods. I personally want to learn it just to add personal tweaks but I'm waiting for the game to finish because of that concern. It'd be nice if the engine they use could be edited like rpgmaker files or New Vegas but when I tried digging through the files, idk if it's my lack of experience with that engine and tools or if it's just that weirdly coded to prevent outside editing, but I couldn't figure anything out. Though given how going back and reading devblogs imply they don't fully understand the code either I'm thinking it may be the latter.

Yeah, but I have some doubts, that a literally god just come down frome above to the region, where he's, let's just say "not the most worshipped", only to say "hey folk, btw this bitch is lying, she's not my champion and not a human at all".
Why not they seem to roam and do whatever they want, one literally makes a guest appearance to get fucked in the ass at the Mino Diddy Party.

Why not? They can pop up wherever they want. Hell, apparently Tira was at the banquet just hanging out. The gods in this game are shown to directly meddle in shit constantly, but they just can't be bothered to deal with the whole demon problem for some reason.
I didn't even see this but said the same thing, lol. Glad to know there are ppl with common sense.

They will do that till the day CoC2 gets replaced with CoC3 or another project, right now murdering the player's modding capacity through codding shenanigans is what gives them exclusivity, like some kind of poor man's nyntendo, filling copyrights suits out of sheer misery and greed

That's a particular brand of demon, I honestly can't see them doing well. Not to mention the very idea of it seems very railroad-y. What type of demon would make someone who wants to conquer, dominate, and be generally the ruler of all he sees want to follow it? Essentially, when is such a character very much against that idea?

The only way I can see it working is like that one npc from Tits where you have to keep visiting them and eventually lose your willpower to fight them back, but thanks to your crewwho notice you acting weird you can recover and get your revenge. Though you could avoid them altogether.
That dino bitch works as a reminder to not mindlessly click everything in a game about mindlessly click everything

It works more on a give-take relationship, demons offer something and there's a price, so the trick would be getting as much as you want without paying, for that you need some measure of control. No this had nothing to do with the game and is me sperging about other stuff, but at least, the dino bitch worked on some level because she represented an actual problem for a dumb space adventurer, free stuff being actually expensive, but then said point doesn't matter and addiction is just another mechanic, your crew carries an addictive futa from planet adventure island and a goblin street walker full of space drugs, just that being addicted to them isn't evil because they love Steelee

Of course you can't. They're old outdated content with even older "plans" that will never see daylight because:
a) Their author quit due to more internal drama
It's kinda depressing how it just sounds like it ended up an echochamber because they got rid of anyone they didn't like for any reason, even other writers. CoC2's reason it doesn't feel like CoC1 is because it calls itself "curated" but it's just been hijacked by Savin to pick a few people he likes while masquerading as the "anyone can contribute" vibe CoC1 had. There's so many rules to get in the way of contribution, it sounds like at some point they stopped taking contributions, and there's plenty of evidence that they get pissy and destroy content or mimic it if it turns out it's popular but didn't come from THEIR inner cabal. Even the horsecock futa thing feels like trying to chase the initial success Kasyrra had, and that's because I think people really like demon mommy who actually cares about you as a concept is all. Even if her cock ruins it for a lot of people.

After losing interest in the game and only lurking occasionally I'd thought I'd give this new update a try. I had no expectations and I'm still disappointed. The only highlight has been avoiding tree kitsune and save editing my character to spite the anti power fantasy thing savin has going on. At least I can be negative on this forum instead of having to rein in my complaints back when I was on the official forum.

For real, if you deviate slightly and don't add a positive qualifier then either one of the hardcore fans will show up to defend the game or one of the writers or even savin will get mad and get upvotes out the ass for it. I even had Alypia get mad at me cause I dared bring up the opinion that the gods ingame are maybe evil.

Aren't the good mods like super expensive in universe? In that case it would make sense that a waitress would struggle to get them. Remember you can become a sex slave like Rhea, the maid on the 2nd planet and possibly Sera in this universe if you get too deep in debt.

Personally I found the game much more interesting when Jim was around because the team actually tried to tackle deeper topics. Once he left and everything just turned into mindless sex the game got boring.
I will say that I don't mind the concept but that would require going through TiTS and yeah, I ain't touching that.

I'm not against the idea of a trans character in these things, even if it'll likely end up coming off as out of place because, in a game where you're prone to finding transformatives and whatnot, you're bound to stumble upon someone that used the wrong thing and turned into a different gender, being, whatever. I mean, Arian from the first game could be an example.

Hell, I've mentioned before that I thought this was going to be the elf futa's shtick. Find them, raise their confidence because that's the sort of thing a champion of a Good alignment does, help them to some transformatives since the PC keeps stumbling upon the fucking things, elf gets a vagina, life continues. But then it wouldn't be a futa (or a dickgirl, I couldn't give less of a shit about the difference) and Savin would be sad so that's what the game ended up with.

I also don't know if they have a regular capable of tackling such a thing and commit to it (doubly so when it comes to preventing a certain someone from pestering them about keeping the dick), so it's probably for the best not to engage.

He has a job other than writing that he likes to boast of and is busy with that apparently
I thought they just told him to fuck off. I mean, I would've done that if it was on me.

I kind of wonder how many submissions they get that regularly for an extended ruleset to be established. Y'know, so it makes sense and not sound like the reviewer just not wanting to work too much.

I'll refrain from commenting on Kasyrra but I only like her as plant fertilizer.

It's quite literally just a search-and-replace tool. They already do the funny thing where they change variables between versions, so as long as you work around them, mods are virtually futureproof. Even if you decided to work with them, fixing the issue is as simple as swapping the changed variables between versions, which can be done instantly inside any text editor.

The code is daunting at first, but the process is honestly easy to learn. I have virtually no coding experience and I've done some ambitious stuff just monkeying around with existing code.

But all in all I understand the fear, since it's not unfounded with how toxic their community is.

That's actually really encouraging to hear. I need to look into it once I have time to abandon the grind for a day or two.

It may be my negativity and headache and this unholy heat talking but I genuinely think they'd take a torch to everything and torment their coders just to protect savin's and tobs's vision for the game.

It was going to be worse than you think
>Implying my demon mommy would tolerate any disrespect towards me.

This guy was let on the team while Savin basically told an aspiring and earnest writer that what he made was shit btw. Unsurprising really, shitty people love surrounding themselves with other shitty people as long as they're not on the receiving end.

I hope they do fuck off after they release a finished build. Whether rushed or not, Savco fucking off would be this game's unironical saving grace.

Misery really does love company. It's crazy how they can fight among themselves even inside echo chambers.

That is all old drama.

Bubble's doesn't even write for this game anymore, and most of discord screenshots are over two years old.

Why not try getting some new material from them instead?

As I've said many times, I do hope to get into modding CoC II. I probably will start messing around with the code and learning the ins and outs of it, if only to familiarize myself with how it all ticks. But again, I really am just wanting to see how this ends so that I can finally get an idea of how much of a workload I'll have on my plate.

The fact is, if they do something ass backwards like Kiyoko NTR or something equally egregiously stupid, I will just say fuck this and probably write my ideas as fanfiction and post it on Ao3 rather than dedicate time and effort to uncuck the game. It's all dependent on how much work is going to be needed for it.

I am the type of person who will watch/play some pretty shitty media just because there's one character I find hot. So it would take a lot to actually make me go down that route.

Having Savin and friends on my ass wouldn't really scare me, as I'm pretty sure there's nothing they can do to stop you from modding the game legal wise. As long as you don't claim ownership of the characters, or try to sell the game yourself. Though I would like to just fly under their radar and not have to deal with them.
