Nah, that's fine... if it's from the character. The problem is the narration has you agreeing without even asking if the player thinks so. No ambiguity about it. No, she's not hot shit outside of being a piece of shit that happens to be temperature wise hot.

I would prefer the mute karate ferret over the flaming turkey any day.

Yeah, and the way the narration goes admonishing you for not immediately wanting to fuck something that appeared out of thin air - almost like she were a demon! - is just... ugh. I didn't think B could fall this far, but here we are. Discord really is a mind poison.

Even without her saying so, she's clearly a phoenix and not a demon, and she expects the champ to be savvy enough with local myth to know that. Cait is surprised if the champ doesnt want to fuck Agni, which is no wonder cuz Cait's a nympho, and Agni is arrogant, so that checks out. Also like doesnt almost everyone here have their champ fuck with every npc they find attractive? Am I playing this wrong?

The champ is non-committal on the issue of whether they agree with Agni on her high opinion of herself. Especially if they refuse to fuck with her. They only agree that's she's attractive which she is - her picture's nice.

It'd fine if her arrogance was treated as such, but looking at how B has the Champion interact with her (like a pussy-whipped idiot, to be brief) i'd say that's very much not the case.

Didn't wanna say it but she reads like a bit of a Sue to me. I tried turning her down after reviving her, just to see what would happen, and boy. She just keeps pushing for it and (in my case) Arona had to step in to tell her to fuck off, 'cause apparentely my 75 corruption Champ lost both his 10-inch gonads somewhere in the cave and couldn't himself.

Nothing in that game can be felt as organic or well made/written.

Demons can shapeshift, bruh. We have that knowledge too. And while I'm on Team Kas, I have no idea if this demon is trying to usurp my beloved or not. That's not okay. I will not allow usurpation.

Besides that the Champ also believes Phoenix are a myth -- possibly even a hellish fire city in an alternate realm. Evidence of what occurred or not you don't just believe that easily. You go your whole life thinking something is a myth, suddenly it's in front of you and you don't drop to your knees in worship. You try to reason as to what the fuck just happened. It's a defense mechanism of sorts.

That is not how I read it at all. The narration even admits she gave a "pretty good zinger" and it wasn't. It seemed more like her throwing a tantrum at the thought someone didn't want to fuck her. Maybe some of the narration is from her perspective, but I still feel it really pushes her as the... for lack of a better term, "alpha" in the conversation.

Then any npc in Hawkethorne or wherever could be a shapeshifted demon, and you don't suspect them of being demons.

That insistent disbelief is a movie trope, if I literally saw a vampire flying I'd probably believe it irl, and unlike the champ I'm not in a world of magic and monsters. A bird woman sponatenously combusted, turned to ashes, you put her ashes in a fire, a firebird woman rose from them - it's a phoenix, case closed. Not even that special. If anything, the Champ trouble with wrapping their head around this is silly, what's there to understand?

Okay yeah the zinger wasnt good(just untrue cuz npcs inexplicably throw themselves at the MC), but otherwise...Since the narration deliberately said she got very irritated if you refuse her, she's quite explicitly throwing a tantrum. And some characters are shy and submissive, some are neutral, some are an alpha bitch - which is fine?

Nothing in that game can be felt as organic or well made/written.

It's why them writers should stick to basic stuff, like Wsan and a few others do, unless they're willing to give a lot of wiggle to the player (choices) and/or Savin decides to implement something of a personality system (like in TiTs).

Which, y'know, admittedly not ideal, but way better than everyone reducing the player character to a NPC to be used and abused to enhance their own.

To be honest, i'm 90% sure she's just another domme futa in disguise. I'll admit to not having read her dickened stuff in its entirety, 'cause frankly my champ is the goddamn Hulk and what little i did already gave me some mental images i'm not partial to, but just the length and descriptions of them scream that to me, especially considering how B wrote both the Champion (quite meek) and how dominant she is even her regular scenes (like even doggy-styled in the ass, what the hell ).

I don't think you'd believe you saw a person flying in the sky. You'd think it was something else. Or if it's in a bat form you'd just think it was a bat. It also doesn't sound like phoenix are a particularly well known harpy, it may very well be they were thought extinct. It'd be like seeing a walking talking dinosaur. I don't think the guys that caught a coelacanth originally thought what they had could possibly be what they thought it was. You hit disbelief pretty hard when something big happens. Like winning the lottery, it takes a bit for it to sink in and then you're hopping all over the place.

Maybe I was reaching a bit myself, but I really wanted to make a dig at Phoenix, AZ while I was at it. Place is a hellhole. As soon as an actual phoenix combusts back into life there it'd just burn back into ashes. A cycle of tragedy really.

I think the difference with Arona she tries to fight you and fuck you - that's plenty provocation. Agni's just pestering you like "c'mooooon fuck with me already".
As for the vampire I meant like literally clearly seeing a human-sized terrifying flying monster bat with bloody fangs, or a living velociraptor, I'd run and bunker down at home till that gets sorted out. I've seen all the monster movies where the skeptic dies horribly, that's not gonna be me okay.

I think that Cait being a girl actually helps her at least on that front considering that majority of audience consists off is straight guys. Imagine Cait personality on a guy. Free spirited playboy fucking everything he sees and every NPC falling head over heals for them.
Well, I do like those kind of guys in fiction, so I would probably prefer it.
