Personally I don't think Nonesuch is completely wrong, the ones honking their "clown" to futa stuff probrably do more consistent comissions and stuff, so they do give more money compared to straight or gay comissions.
The problem is that it ends up catering to just that one group, it essentially makes other groups check the games and other stuff because most of it is going to be futa, so I think it just gets stuck with 1 group only because they pay more so why bother with other comissions? (not to mention other groups not doing many comissions because there aren't really many things of their kink in the game so why would they bother if they don't know how well that content is written?)

If we look specifically at games here on F95 (make sure you set ignored threads to show first):
total games: 17716 results
male protagonist: 11751 (66.33% of games allow playing as male)
female protagonist: 5492 (31% of games allow playing as female)
futa/trans protagonist: 475 (2.68% of games allow playing as futa MC)
futa/trans: 1595 (9% of games involve having sex with a futa/trans NPC)
of those 11751 with a male protagonist, 955 are gay. (8.13% of all male protagonist games)
if you take [male protagonist] games and exclude [gay], [futa/trans] NPC, and [netorare] you are left with 9154 results. which is already only 51.67% of the available content. A majority, yes. but hardly the 95% figure.
require it to actually feature vaginal sex and it drops down to 6103 results. which is 34.44% of the total.
if you do not exclude any tags. and only require that a game has only 2 tags [male protagonist] and [vaginal sex] and you are left with 7709 games (43.51%). but this could very well be a game of "you sit in the cuck shed while your wife has vaginal sex with chad or even a horse". Or a game like CoC2 which has all the tags.

I get that futa characters are overrepresented due to the preferences of the people making this game and paying for commissions, and I'm ok with that. But is there any reason in particular for not giving more dickgirls a vagina too? It seems to me it would allow them to appeal to a broader audience (considering the vast majority of the population is straight) while still catering to people looking for futa content.
This is, after all, a game that is supposed to appeal to a broad audience. Futas with a vagina seem like an easy way to do exactly that, yet it feels like half of the latest updates are all about dickgirls with no vagina. Are there really so many people here who want that specific niche? Is it supposed to be for gay men who find vaginas icky? But then again those chars have breasts and are pretty feminine apart from their genitals, so they're probably meant for an even more niche audience. Seems like a lot of effort for characters that will only get appreciated by less than 1% of the population.

I can only speak for myself, but, as a straight man, I am not having any of my characters stick his dick in something else that also has (or once had) a dick, even if it has breasts or a vagina. Making more futanari as opposed to “shemales” would not broaden their appeal to me.
