I'm somewhat in a similar boat. While I appreciate when women don't have the meat stick DLC. As long as the futas don't approach me from the rear. As someone who isn't into them and finds the futa crew that this game has rather annoying, their main problem stems from springing up at the least useful times.

In my playthrough so far, it was somewhat common for futa enemies to spring up. Now that wouldn't necessarily be a problem in normal circumstances. Alas, CoC2 loves enemy encounters... to the point where I just cheated a bag full of grenades and have essentially blown everything up since.

I got particularly aggravated from seeing a demon couple where one would spot a large phallus (because this game can't come up with a futa that doesn't have one bigger than an arm apparently) on the Underground. Funnily enough, when I finally decided to kill them next time I met them... well, I can't fucking find them.

I dont particularly care about futa it's whatever at this point but I think I've voiced my opinion on de-dicking one particular character for breeding purposes enough on this thread, I'm sure everyone here is sick of hearing about it.

I think it's less about just ignoring. And more so the fact that you have no real visual indication, of whether you will get a sausage surprise. I mean look at the art? This world has penis compression tech, that puts WinZip to shame. Tuck game on a 100. So if you're not into that and you think it's a chick you're talking to. The moment "she" gets naked. You about to get hit with the most unfortunate version of a jack-in-the-box.

A lot of the characters have decent art to lure you in. Some of the personalities are written fine. While the text or options will eventually let you know what's below. Not all of it is upfront. And again, the art itself generally ain't giving you warnings. So you take interest in someone. Without the proper warning upfront. Next thing you know, that "woman" is looking for backdoor entry. Don't help that so many enemies you fight. Want to bend you over and take you to pound town.

Plus you're going to remember what you don't like more then what you do. Hell even I thought this game's futa ratio was 3 to 1. Felt like every time I turned around or went to the wiki. A dick would pop up to wink at me.

Guy who plays for basically only futa content at this point's opinion:

A character's sex/gender should be made immediately apparent on meeting them, no matter what it is. Doesn't really need explaining it and has been explained well above me.

But tbh i think the thing that really puts people off of futa in this game isn't even the shit in between their legs; it's the complete lack of personality or uniqueness with any of them. People like Kass because she's willing to top or bottom and she actually gives a fuck about the player. Off the top of my head, I can't think of a single other futa in this game that does either of those things. Actually the subby manticore futa gf you can get is one but that's about it. If you run into a futa, 99% of the time you're getting impaled like a fucking kebab. They're just all so samey, and it gets very fatiguing. Like they barely even dominate in different ways, it's just all "okay youre make cock sleeve now, be happy about it". Almost none of them are romantic, caring, or even just interesting people.

Idk man, it really feels like all the main writers phoned shit in years ago. None of them do anything even remotely creative or interesting. I genuinely don't know how they can be fulfilled just writing the same slop over and over again.

Props to Jstar, Aury, and Knife wielding crab for actually making different shit even if I may not like some of it. Seriously a breath of fresh air and reminds me of coc1 days.

i was writing a google doc ab my gripes, and how savin can't write tenderness or care convincingly unless it's transactional(bc hes a piece of shit).. and will still fuck it up. the impending transaction of the pc soul/pregnancy w kassyra, im impressed w how convincing the love is(kassyra is definitely his magnum opis) and I'm curious to see if he grows enough in time to stick that landing once that transaction is no longer in play.

Etheryn - Cute as shit (best companion just for the fact that this character is the only one with a character arc)
Livrea - Also wholesome as fuck
Hana- (haven't done her content yet)
Kasyrra - I will literally forgive murder for this women.
Even Arona is sweet and tender under her hard exterior.

Meanwhile Wsan is like a one hit wonder. That man write hands down the hottest sex scenes in the game. But holy moly his characterization is ASS. Either your character is a cum socket for one his futadomes or you are treating his characters as nothing more than fetish fodder. The only time he tried was with Bri house. And it was decent I guess.
I don't even wanna jump at this mans throat for that. It's a porn game after all.

edit: And the point about transactional and one sided lol. Wsan dommes are like the most onesided relationships in history.

A little bit? You can technically change your gender at any moment, but there is not really a explicit focus on that.
And there a like 3 npc which gender you can change.
Genderchange is a niche fetish at best in this game.

never said anything about one sided anything. i said savins implementation of tenderness and care is unconvincing, with wsan it was never there in the first place(brint is okay tho). savin puts effort to portray it and it doesnt feel genuine. that he needs the caveat of a transaction that warrants that tenderness and care.

actually, kalysea does have tender moments that fall under the caveat of transaction, that hit so hard i look the other way lmao some of his other characters too, they are inconsistent. theyre either there or not at all. however the peaks are better than what savin can do consistently, which is why i often find them unconvincing and ungenuine

ig with wsan more often than not the transaction feels like the motive, where with savin more often than not it feels like the ulterior motive. hopefully that makes sense

Sorry missread somethings there, I was just a little confused by the hate for Savins potrayal of relationships, while Wsan gets the pass. I rather have some attempts at genuine character writing than none. And most of the time I liked it.

I will try out Brint in my next run, he never survived for long (Cowgirl go brrrrr), but he seems like a cool dude and maybe he is a little deeper than Brienne.

Brint and Brienne are pretty much just mirror characters, and don't really go deeper than the other. Brint is kinda like a male Cait but a dom, with the whole angle of "My body's public property, but my heart is yours" sort of deal that she has lol

Truth be told, there's that too. The only one I've given some time of the day that wasn't apparently the same note as the rest was Etheryn. The rest just sort of mix up into the same standards.

Might also be why I thought she wanted to be dedicked, the others were so similar on that regard that I thought "oh, so that's what's going on" and would've been perfectly fine with helping her out. This playthrough, I've just helped her with the fighting bits and then lobbed Cait at her instead.

In all fairness, I haven't given much time to the newer ones but... yeah, I don't care about them enough to check if they're cool outside of the usual "let them fuck your PC's butt" bit.

Honestly, just cheat yourself a bunch of grenades, it makes the process easier. It's honestly funnier to imagine some of the lengthier NPCs get interrupted in their diatribe by a good explosion to the face.
