well thats great but i care about the wellbeing of the game. i dont think you can combat or police concerns without looking like a cretin, when they arent well thought out because not everyone is verbose and literate but everyone has a gut and it doesnt matter how accurate a fact you pull is bc opinions are rarely based on facts they only come in when its time to argue.

I feel like those go hand in hand though and it's important to find at least some sort of balance. The hate mob just seems to come out for some games where once you find a reason to dislike a dev it becomes every action is a reason to hate the dev and people try to convince others that they are the spawn of Satan and that they could run things so much more smoothly. In reality, Savin is a dick and probably isn't the best leader, but far from the worst.

i dont believe theyre going to change anything, i think theyre pleased with the integrity of their product and the revenue it generates. i think apple is too, and they have not innovated in a decade, their original product was groundbreaking and theyve been able to coast on that brand recognition.

I wouldn't say they haven't changed anything. The companions are a marked change from both CoC and TiTS. None of the followers or crewmates in CoC or TiTS are integrated into the story and barely any of them interact with each other. There's a much greater focus on combat and giving the player a variety of options for builds. They even removed resolve during development because it was a major balancing issue. QoL things like doubling back not allowing more storage and the sped up pregnancies option shows that they are willing to listen to people. Hell, they even expanded character creation to allow any background with any race as well as more cosmetic options.

I'd say it's more so that you shouldn't just bring any problem to a therapist prior to at least trying to solve the problem yourself first. I would agree it has to be on your own terms, but if you want actual change in your life it takes real concerted effort. Many of my coworkers suffered from PTSD because blowing people up, even remotely, can really fuck with your head. I would never disparage them for choosing to go to therapy. But that is a very different situation from burning yourself out from overwork and possibly losing interest in what was once a hobby because you are forcing yourself to write things you have no interest in. Varying degrees of problem require varying degrees of solutions. Now if you are experiencing unpleasant thoughts as a result of this, you should immediately seek help. I hope this clears that up.

You aren't the only one. There's plenty of patches that are of no interest to me and that's okay. I just find something else.

Because the only reason to finish the main story is for people like you and they don't care about you or your opinion since it just boils down to, "I like this so do this". Also, fleshing areas out before you move on is much more practical than hoping people will want to backfill every area in a remotely equal fashion.

If you treat your writers like shit, they won't want to write for you anymore. Crazy concept. You also have no idea what happened with Will from your statement. He was already already burnt out before Sephora's expansion and that's why the quality was so poor.

There used to be plenty of places to talk about CoC2 that wasn't the (practically dead due to neglect) official forum and two discords.

Now there's isn't.
Establishing a positive community is a collaborative effort which is why you see so many games on here have active back and forth with the games developers. In this threads infancy, the first few years actually, there was plenty of space to similarly build the rapport.

It took Misty months to get Steph Irson changed, but she stuck to her guns and meaningfully argued it to hell and back. I guess I just never understood screaming into the void about what you want in the game like there aren't thousands of people who probably want different things.

I usually avoid making generalizations about "most games" because I don't interact with even 10% of every game on this website nor do I follow that many games developmental pipeline.

I was leaning more towards how often the games are updated more so than which ones are actively being developed. I'm a bit curious if there a way to track the average time between updates of each game. My main point was that it's no Mythic Manor going from near monthly updates to maybe one or two a year.

I think there's still a misunderstanding. I'm not saying therapy is bad in any way. I'm saying that it may not always be the most appropriate solution to one's problems. Some problems can be solved by empowering yourself through changing your outlet for self expression be that with another hobby or by changing how you interact with that hobby.

Fairly quickly if you play story mode. Just go to the centaur village clear it, kill Ahmri''s dad, clear winter palace, build base wayfort, reach the undermountains and then go to the frosthound. And don't forget wait atleast 7 days after you defeated the centaur village.

so uh, isnt that basically the entire story up to this point? if you gotta do palace and get to under thats all the main content i thought. though my time perception may be skewed from how fucking long it takes to get kiyoko to all 9 tails (legitimately the thing that most annoys me with doing new runs.)

You don't have to do Kiyoko, don't do the hornets. You don't need the orcs. Just breeze through the points I have mentioned (don't forget to level up if you can), then you can see corrupted Ahmri in around 20-30 minutes.

It still shows that some of the things are people are most vocally against are wildly popular in the community and more importantly, the patrons. I would imagine the amount of threesome is partially inflated by the companion system since it would be weird to have a group and barely touch on any group dynamics.

To be fair I would absolutely believe that's the case without a screenshot. I'm of the opinion that the writers should write what they want and it would not surprise me if that was Wsan's sentiment. The quality tends to suffer when your force yourself to write.
