Yeah that's pretty much it, just walk around and talk with other characters, you'll get different quests to complete, gain companions, weapons, etc

It's pretty self-explanatory but for a premise you can be super gender-fluid in this game. You can start as a man, become a woman, or hermaphrodite, different race then what you started with, or hybrid, etc. You can also start as a woman and do the same things, mind you, or even just set it in custom options.

As for these, these are the starting "Sexual Perks". You either pick one or skip them if none suit your fancy, but basically it's as follows:

Hmm so she's likely a salvaged character from a canceled game + some alterations to fit CoC2. I still wonder how much of her story was already written before the game started. The only way I could see him having Arona, Cait and Ryn as companions is if he already had their story arcs written before starting the game.

Ryn could've replaced Cait pretty easily. Have it that Tollus was working/corrupting Alyssa the whole time. Ryn made it all the way to the town and got attacked. You're thrown in a tutorial fight outside of the inn then Ryn and Garth ask you to go see the temple because the stupid cultists name dropped it.

Fight through them, meet Tollus and he summons Kassyra properly in this reality. The latter blasts/knocks out both sides through the portal shenanigans, but she focuses on the Champ because only they mutated in an interesting way. Wake up back in the inn afterwards.

Funnily enough, Savin's already ahead of you.

So in a kinda interesting tidbit, I read on the Discord a pitch Savin made to reduce companion characters he was writing if he had to do it again.

Said he'd basically fold Caits story into Ryns, so it would be Ryns sister who got kidnapped and Ryn riding down from Winter City looking for help.

Ryn would be female, and Cait would be mostly gone, except Ryn has a womb tattoo like Caits that Kas put on her, that the champ could mess with to make her way hornier in case you want to lead her into being a turboslut.

Sounded interesting.

Also, Arona wouldn't be a companion, just a content heavy NPC in the ogre camp.

I'm curious about his opinion regarding the other companions, tho. I do wonder if he could make a third game even less of a power fantasy for the player in favor of whatever other kind of experience he has in mind

I'll raise with this:
I'm keeping Ryn's original concept but Tollus is being the main Antagonist but posing as a henchmen, Keeping Cait but flipping the slut priestess script with the 4chan Cait.

Your character is origin is that they've come to Savarra to benefit from remnants of the Greek ripoff clans trying to push into the land.
Ryn would start the call to adventure by busting into the Bar requesting aid because a caravan she meet up with was raided by the cult and carried up to the temple for sacrifice. She joins you as yall fight your way up, you happen upon Punished Muscle Cait where she fights to get to her sister, with this you have a temporary party of 3 of the bat to face Tollus with, he summons Kas but this is where things change. The Portal is unstable, it turns into blackhole first kill the PC then imploding n collapsing temple. The PC's mind n soul is sucked into realms between worlds and meets the "Idea of Good and Evil," (str8t from Berserk) the primordial God that watches and influences the world of Savarra. The God puts you bring you back to the temple right after you are killed, Kas sees n takes notice off how weird you souls as a result and takes interest in you. After that the PC wakes up at Garth's and things layout as usual.

Probably, though it would be a bit harder with the lack of companions that love to get in the way, you'd just have to multiply the OCs that studied the blade.

Bet to this day they wonder why overpowered drunk bum, katana blade fox, and「FARMER」are not popular characters despite two of them having a really, really sad background story, and the other being a bland harem protagonist without a harem

Didn't they talk about CoC3 being a visual novel?, I mean, now it's not great but we still get to do stuff with relative freedom, with a visual novel that's over and besides that, there are other visual novels with the same setting, they would get rid of the one thing that makes the game a better option than others, our failure at immersion PC stumbling through Savarra while being fucked and interrupted by less interesting people

At that point just call it dragon elf date and wait for the cursed abandoned tag, because CoC2 as it is at least walks, and sure it's slow and half the time it goes in circles, but it walks. A visual novel in their hands is a mess no one needs

Honestly a lot of the same stuff you'd think.

Next game, companions are going to be limited to staff and cut down to 5 or 6 so they get more development. Also, there will be more actual interaction between companions - Savin mentioned he's already written some thoughts for fun interaction between his companion and some of the others planned.


Tobs mentioned that theres some things he doesn't like about how Kiyoko and Kinu were handled. Kiyoko wasnt originally going to be his companion - it was going to be a bird person or Garrett(!). I think he's planning to take another crack at a Princess-Maker type raising-type of character though.

Transformations will be less of a focus.

Savin has thought about making the next protagonist more defined, instead of a blob, to make them easier to find a voice for.

B will write yet another disabled furry!



What there *won't* be, however, is a more structured writing process - as far as I can tell Savin is of the opinion that letting people write what they want is the reason they put out as much content as they do.



Of course, all of these things are far off speculations. Not only is there a whole 'nother Act (so 2-4 more years), they'yll also do a big cleanup pass of a lot of stuff for 1.0 (so another 1-2 years imo).
