Since they transcent the mold of simple oc, nah, they are apparently "donut steele" grade oc's that just won't beat the final boss cuz of reasons. And only reason they don't openly competing for spotlight with protagonist is because devs need to get paid.
I never understood why game shoves Cait in everything, i never found her interesting, i never hated her, even if her whole gimmic is basically "your slut gf that bangs everything", but i always felt complete apathy for her.

Just thought to myself, was it really necessary to jump through so many hoops write a "your slut gf" type of character. In TiTs you got another "slut gf" character in Anno, but she's overall grounded, and doesn't overstay her time in spotlight, thus i find her far more tolerable.
It's still possible to carve out a good chunk of fun out of game, but i noticed i do gotta jump through more and more hoops as times goes on, and my ignore list is getting bigger, which just disappoints me on a principle. Like i only freed that fox lady once, and interract with foxes for few items or sake of completionism.

I feel you on that last sentiment. That's primarily what got me into modding the game in the first place. I was just fed up. Not a fan of the token whore gf character hamfisted into both games, doubly so when as you said, they stick em into more scenes than most characters. Alas, they took the whole porn poster girl in "well, it's porn, her development is to have more porn". It's also easier to write porn than to write development for her.
Therefore, Cait is numerically important because she has a bunch of porn scenes. But not in a character manner as she has never really changed unlike some of her party mates (Brienne, the bee girl, the big futa, the small futa) or those you interact with (Garth's family, Kohaku, the burn victim, arguably Aileh who beat her face against the village's sign and is still recovering), which leaves her surprisingly bland and uninteresting.

Okay just finished Mayternity content so far who knows if there is another update. I feel like a broken record but I will still say it anyway this is by far the worst Mayternity and it is getting worse every year. Also did Isadora content because I didn't realise I missed it.
1st: Futa shemare guards other than a unique scene do not react at all. Why even bother .
2nd: Periwinkle again has an initial reaction but I never saw a birthing scene? I don't know how long the pregnancy lasts but it seems to be longer than Alante so who knows what it is like I can't be bothered to wait anymore for it to happen. Also no unique scenes related to pregnancy and Centaur pregnancies are the least fun visually. For example I can't tell the difference between pregnant Periwinkle or pregnant Alante? Again do a pregnancy properly or don't bother.
3rd: Alante at least reacts and you can't miss her reactions to either your or her pregnancy and you can have a talk about the pregnancy this is where all the good things about this pregnancy end. I don't know who thought it was a good idea to make Alante a futa and then make the children unique so only one of you can get pregnant. Since my most used created character is my herm just because it lets me see all the content. I tried to do both like a complete idiot only to find out on Fenoxo's website you can't do both. What a waste of time that was. Also I am convinced that Wsan has porn rotted his brain with his favorite kinks you can tell from the writing how desperate he was to turn Alante into a futadom but had to hold back because it was against her personality. I noticed there was no option as a vagina having PC to dom the futa. Doing a side by side comparison of Tay's and Alante's sex scenes is just depressing .The difference in effort between a character who has been in since the start of the game compared to a character that is about a year old.
Alante at least had a chance to be good but was ruined by poor decisions like unique children and Wsan unable to keep his kinks in check. For all the problems I have with TOBs and I have a lot considering I think he has similar pornrot with his cuckhold fetish I still think one of the best more recent pregnancies was Kohaku which was written by TOBs. Also why haven't the Drifa pregnancy busts been updated into the game? According to Moira they are done. So this should be 1 more update before May ends but who knows if it will be done in time.

One of my earlier disappointments in game was realization you kinda can't really have Brint as your bro character if you play a dude. After Wayfort gets introduced most of his content seems to turn into cuck/bull thing or simple interactions.
I think one of writers kinda didn't want the whole transformative plot with Brint in the first place, instead after exiting hub area you basically choose what you want character to be, either Brint or Brienne. That would actually have been better instead of whole transformation thing to me, plus maybe that way Brint would keep more of his bro side.
Guess there's some bro content if you go to Khorminos and meet his family, but compared to Cait who is basically deuteragonist(and then some) for reasons, there's not that much.
I've no hope this game will have anything close to a satisfying ending, they've spent what like 4 or 5 years "working" on Khor'minos releasing the most bland and uninteresting content which is supposed to be the hefty portion before the final dungeon with savin saying it's gonna be the shortest chapter. Now I don't know what savins version of "short" translates to but I don't see them being able to wrap this game up in a satisfying way.

Unless you're a champion of darkness because then your companions either become demons or your enemies and you're cast into the booty dungeon or you turn Savarra into the booty dungeon
