Yeah if you lose five times in a row she carries you off to be her first harem member and if you have a vagina she'll knock the player up and it's honestly pretty good. The bad end baby even gets the player's eye color. I wanna bring her and the blue manticores to the wayfort.
They might as well expand the wayfort into a city with how many NPCs the pc can stuff inside. We've already reached the point where there are issues with missing characters due to tile overcrowding. Not that I'm complaining though, quicker access to specific NPCs instead of having to traverse half the tiles in the middle of buttfuck nowhere or fishing for random encounters just to find the NPC in question.

"Amount of content/words written per male/female/herm" is a bad metric just like how "number of NPCs per male/female/herm" is also a bad metric. What matters isn't the amount of content, it's the quality of the content. Someone brought up Kiyoko as an example of a female character with a lot of content, and that's a perfect example of what I mean by quality mattering more than quantity. Cause yes, Kiyoko does have a ton of content. And it's almost all shit, it actively hates people who wanted a traditional relationship story with Kiyoko and not be a deadbeat dad who's child hates them. The game would be better without that content in it. And that's just one example among many across all flavors of content.

Everyone's getting fucked over here. People who want female characters get writers who can't write for shit and hate the playerbase, and despite pregnancy having a whole month dedicated to it, it's mostly just a number that goes up with some flavor. And that's when they're not limiting characters to only having 1 child for some godforsaken reason. And everything is looking to fuck you in the ass. People who want male characters get scraps, I am so sorry if you're one of these people, you deserve better. And people who want futa basically only get dommy futa's with massive shlongs. I thought part of the appeal was their ability to both give and recieve? From what I've seen from the patches and busts nearly all the focus is on getting penetrated by giant futa cock, or getting dommed by them. They might as well be dudes with boobs at this point.

Are there diamonds in the rough? Sure. They're more like glittery rocks that you have to dig deep for, but there's something there. But goddamn, bickering over which kink gets more content or people being 'delusional' or 'whiny' is ignoring the fact that there wouldn't be these arguments if they made a better game. Even if you're the 'winner' and have the most amount of content that appeals to you, it's hard to be excited when things are so shit.

Did a good job with Arona?
The character that attacks and tries to rapes the PC multiple times and fails. But then the game force you into accepting a quest where they asks the PC for help to be put in charge of the the people that are here rape and enslave after failing to rape and rob the PC.
Arona the character by their own words, logic, and culture the PC should be able to do whatever you wish to them but the PC can only soft-dom them and even puts the PC on the spot in front of a crowd despite being the PC's sub. While if they was dominant they get to do all sorts of Hard dom action and get to proclaim all sorts of action they will be doing to the PC now and in the future.

Unless your talking about the quality of the writing for each scene, if not then Arona is one of the poster child for what's wrong with this game. A herm OC character that the PC has less than no reason to like but the writing forces this character onto the player and tries to force them into being a party member. And despite having 2 different states one is deeply treated like an after thought and warped so the PC can't be mean to a OC character like they was and can be to the PC.

This man is cooked
I'll be entirely honest and say my bias for Arona is due to two things. The archetype of hardass to everyone else but sweet on you is my jam. I've proclaimed my love for that setup a few times in this very thread. It's like freckled red/orange/in that general color area heads, it's a weakness. The other reason is that throne scene when you help her defeat her brother. I remember that shit being hot.

I believe it's optional and you can take or give her the throne.... or maybe it's just auto given to her :unsure:. But either way, being able to pick her up and sit her on your lap. Taking your prize and fucking the big bad new chieftain in front of the whole tribe. While she tries to hold onto her pride and resist. But eventually caves to the pleasure, telling you not to stop despite the situation and earlier protest. That shit was hot. It was one of the earlier few times that I remember. Where I was fooled into thinking this game might actually be a power fantasy. But we learn in time....

Yeah it wasn't optional when the first came orc camp came out, wiping out the orcs came out later you could only fail at making Arona leader.

Even then with these points you made the content that gets made and gets the most attention and the writers that can put out quality content is mostly still mostly focused on female NPCs. Cait stealing the show slop is 1st and then female NPCs But after is the problem that dom herm, shemale, and/or dickgirl NPCs is next.
And holy shit, it's like their allergic to male NPCs despite making so many dom herm, shemale, and/or dickgirl NPCs just act like super horny and/or rapey males. and it's to the point that you could just replace their art and appearance sections and barely anything would be lost in transition. And that's sad.

But what should you expect when they JUST last year added a DILF npc to fuck. And it took till coc2 to add a fucking harem to a fucking porn game.

At this point Flexible Survival's (singleplayer) take on writing is hella better, as people just contribute directly.
So while there are jumps in quality and quantity between enemies and NPCs both when it comes to text and images, they are all at least somewhat there. And when there isn't stuff, it gets added later on by the same person who did the rest, or someone else who picks it up. And even in those cases, it's common that things get rewritten/reworked to be better.

Already said my piece but I will add this.

If CoC2 had more folks like Drifa (who you can actively push in certain ways) and less folks like... I dunno, those two demons I forgot to kill until I couldn't anymore, game would've been at least a 3 out of 5.

Slightly good news for the MxM crowd is that there's a one or two writers picking up the pieces of abandoned/barren NPCs. There's excerpts for Nash on the discord server, and the same writer is planning/making more Nyze content.

A bit late bringing this up when it comes to the female NPC count argument, but I don't believe people have actually taken a look at said list of NPCs. The excel is out there and I can confidently say that the average player won't even recognize a third of them. This isn't even because they're boring or unforgettable. Rather they're background characters that often make up many of the group sex scenes. They're not even real characters, so to speak, since you can't interact with them outside their event scenes.

A couple of examples are
* The milking barn girls
* The centaur orgy girls
* The Storm witch cowgirls
* The Frost elf priestesses

Outside of maybe the milking barn girls I don't know if anyone knows any of these "NPCs'" names without looking them up.

Alternatively, you also got hanger-on NPCs that are part of the count and only really exist as accessories for other characters, like Klemaia's harem and Melara (if you even know who that is), or package deal half characters like Lessala and her cronies, the Starhome Trio, the marefolk barbers, etc.

The thing that really bloats up the count though are one-and-done event/quest NPCs, who you only see once or are genuinely just combat fodder that still end up being counted because they're technically "named NPCs". This applies to the male NPC struggle too, so whenever anyone brings up the metrics this is usually who they're referring to. It's either that or "feature complete" half-baked hell, but mostly the latter.
They'll tell you there's plenty of male NPCs in the game when half of them are genuinely Khor'minos nobodies with two scenes a piece.

Oh, no, you can up to a certain point.

The time I remembered to kill them, they were like "oh, ok, we're fucking off then".

Sure but consider this

I like her

Having said that I have really, really, really low expectations for this game. Her scenes are hot if you're into that kind of stuff and are way better when she's a sub. At this point I know we won't get anything better in the way to the last fight and I do happen to like Arona's psycho energy. I guess is a matter of taste

They don't though. Kiyoko to this day eclipses every other character in the game in terms of content regardless of what anyone says to the contrary with Cait and Brienne being a somewhat distant second and third. 3/4 of all the unique children go to female characters with lots of interactions and more like Ylvid and Drifa are getting fleshed out with more scenes.
I have one thing to say about this: "If u remove Community Writers, we'd have futa central."
Tobs and B prolly put in the most work vanilla females, for as much as I don't like them I'll give credit where its due.
Another thing is just as MEATSHIELD236 says, a lot of the content for Kiyoko is player hating vitriol and the rest is there to placate the rest of us.

Again you're specifically talking about Wsan's futas. He'll come with months worth of content expansions for his futa characters who exclusively top and rips control out the players hand to mold them into a subby bitch to fit his personal fantasy. This isn't a thing with "most" futas it's a thing with HIS futas.
It's not just his futas, its with most futas. They all want to be up your ass. It's just that most are "nice" about it that aren't his. With the exception of Jaelyn thats ur dedicated fuckpet(and even with tht SKoW manages to force u in a 3rd wheel), they all can get flushed.

And from what I'm seeing yet again ppl breaking it down tht the writers biases are in full swing.

This but instead it's my ADHD having borderline dyslexic ass with that one scene where Kas gives you the option to fuck her in a dream and all the buttons say yes except the one in the center that I couldn't see.

Sure but consider this

Heretical, have a nice day.

One of their biggest gripes with the mods for 1 was that they kept adding options to merk everyone so I'm always surprised when the option sneaks its way into this one.
Which is weird since so many options and bad ends result in "you died".

I really liked tht, Hgg mod for CoC1 really hits different when you can just ice an irritating character. Don't like Kelt? Skin tht horse. Don't like tht Sheep bitch that tricks u into the demon pit? Get the preemptive jump on her by pulling an uno reverse card the second u meet her, killing her in a admitantly chilling serial killer moment or wait until ur justified and kill for luring ppl in the pit.
I really like that the writers of hgg mod get the feeling that sometimes you want flip between being a good boy and crazed devil depending on the moment.
Wish Savco had the balls to do stuff like tht.

I have a question for the thread that I genuinely want to hear out, think about throughly about, and answer. If you were in Savco's shoes and u were given the plot point, lore, and characters up to this point how would you develop CoC2?
You have put yourself in their shoes, so no fantasy budget or fantasy writers added. Just you and their own reality and have to dev it with their resources and tools.

You have put yourself in their shoes, so no fantasy budget or fantasy writers added. Just you and their own reality and have to dev it with their resources and tools.
1) The first step would be to obviously put a hold on pumping out new characters and focus on old ones instead. It doesn't have to screech to a complete halt, but toned down significantly. I fully understand from firsthand experience how tiresome writing can be at the best of times, especially when you're not invested in the content you're writing, but I believe the people paying for the game's development (or the lining of the creator's pockets) deserve a certain standard of quality and consistency. This also tackles the issue of outdated busts since a lot of them are in dire need of a facelift.

2) Fix the goddamn typos and the syntax errors holy shit. It's not like nobody's reporting them. You can go to the forums right now and see the sheer number of typo reports that haven't been addressed. The line referring to Garth as Garret has been in the game since the introduction of the character and apparently it's going nowhere, that and more egregious errors like swapping the default and Bimbo dialogue, making me wonder why my pc is suddenly giggling like a schoolgirl for no reason. This could also include getting rid of out-of-place euphemisms like "Jeez" and the like, since you know... fantasy setting and all.

3) At least try to do something with the corruption mechanic... it's in the name ffs. I would genuinely consider revising the entire game to bring this aspect to the forefront. It wouldn't be an entire upheaval of the foundations, just adding options and appropriate reactions from the NPCs, instead of essentially treating them like mindless drones who barely react to your actions. The original had more robust examples of this where followers for instance could leave you temporarily as a response to your actions, and I believe this could be something worthwhile to consider given the game's name. The foundation is already there, where corrupted or demonized NPCs (which are irreversible decisions) could add to an irreversible corruption counter which could be utilized to reflect these changes for example.

4) Make TFs matter again more. I'm not suggesting anything "impossible" like introducing different body types, but introducing new options and dialogue just like the little acknowledgements you get for becoming a dragon, which I believe is a cool example because it shows that the player's choices and the thought they put into their PC's creation matters. This would include bringing back racial abilities because I still have no clue wtf Savin was smoking when he nuked them.

5) Iron out some of the plot holes like the 7 sitting with their collective thumbs up their asses with demons and an evil cult on the loose.

6) Do something about adult Kinu. Might even go as far as nuking the entire concept and keeping her as a child since that's what most people have suggested instead of the slop we've been given. This one might seem a little personal but it's literally the writer antagonizing the players for something they had no part in.

7) Get rid of the companion limit. Always felt weird that Savin limited the writers to one when he has 3 himself. If the writers want to write them then let them do it, given they're able to at least deliver a bare minimum, within reason of course.

8) Implement Environment art like the image pack did for CoC1, if only to break the monotony of the endless text when exploring the game world. Even just one or two images sprinkled between every three tiles or so would make a world of difference, I believe.

9) Optional Survival mode, with the need to eat and sleep. It isn't like the precedent isn't set with the blue ball status, and it wouldn't really be that difficult to implement.

You have put yourself in their shoes, so no fantasy budget or fantasy writers added. Just you and their own reality and have to dev it with their resources and tools.
1: Have a detailed character and location bible detailing the general personality and kinks of characters and what each location is going for, both planned and implemented. Detail how much depth each character and location is going to get. Maybe even give the community access to this. Make sure there is a healthy variety of personalities and kinks so that every character option gets some love.
2: Fewer characters, more in-depth interactions with characters. There's a ton of characters you can cut and loose basically nothing. Random encounter fucks are fine for less fleshed out characters, but big characters should have depth and respond to the player's actions and transformations.
3: Keep egos and tangents in check. This is a video game meant to be played by people, not a forum roleplay; no writing stuff just to spite people on the forums or writing about how super special your OC is.
4: Edit, edit, and edit some more: the writing should be scrutinized for grammar, tone, and other issues. If people consistently raise issues with certain passages, then look at them. Don't be afraid to rework or remove stuff that doesn't work.

Work towards the release, trying to keep everything as concise as possible and then unfuck things with whatever's left of the budget after the game's "finished".
I liked them lol.
Good for you, I didn't. Sole reason that kept them alive was me forgetting to kill them.

It was my fault though.

Game needs more of the pink manticore girl for no reason other than I think flying monster girl domme is hot and I wanna be able to throw a harem of muscle women at a problem and said harem needs more variety outside of equine features.
Apparently she has a five-stage bad end, so that was kinda shocking to learn considering it's a random roaming encounter. Personally I wouldn't hate it if they made her a recurring encounter.
Since we're talking about manticores:
Did you know, the manticores initially had pussies on the ends of their tails (yes, just like iconic MGE monster girls), but then they gutted the whole cunt-tail feature? Which was also included in the manticore transformation for the Champ.
With the excuse given: "Nobody on the team wants to write that." Despite TiTS having extensive support for tail genitals, and Savin himself writing several characters with tail-pussies.
It happened in 2019. They were actively gutting transformations almost from the beginning of this shitty game.
