Yeah, that was a very stupid move like. Why wouldn't you attach the main thing to the planetary conflict that's going on. You know what I mean? Literally, takes all the investment out of it.

If you fail to stop them the space probe ends floating in space because the planet is gone, that's how irrelevant the whole conflict was for you

There's nothing soviet or communist about the red myr aside from the very superficial red colouration and the federation's logo being a rip-off of the GDR emblem (and they literally wear ww2 nazi uniforms, yes, with the red armbands), they are mostly just a poor amalgam of ww1-ww2 Germany and starship troopers' United Citizen Federation, with shit like not getting a citizenship unless you serve in the military. Also, people often forget that German Empire also was a federation of several autonomous states.

Red myr got several unique quests that all paint gold myr as the villains, and the only quest gold myr got is also painting golds as a bunch of terrorists ready to terrorize their own people. And everybody just ignores that reds are occupying golds' territories and had enslaved the native population with their venom. It's not even funny how scewed into Red's favour it all is.

Exactly, you the player have no steaks in the matter and treated like a tourist in your own story.
We shouldn't be surprised tho, its Savin - can't expect player agency from this dude. Fact that it has a weird ass obsession is most telling. Its just an excuse to show off his hypersexual fetish "worldbuilding" if you can call it tht.

I firmly believe that if an author can't do an honest good vs evil story, they shouldn't get to do a deconstruction story, they don't get to subvert the tropes because they don't understand them. Same thing happened with the Star Ship Troopers director, bro got all the right aesthetics and poured all of his knowledge of what fascism and war propaganda are, only to end with an honest movie about humanity fighting killer space bugs, and being heroic as fuck. Savin trying to write a moral post war porn adventure wrote war propaganda, it may be a furry curse, I'm sure that's it

If an author can't distinguish between moral complexity, morale grey, and binary good and evil, then they shouldn't be trying to do deconstruct shit.
A good example would be if a king has a strict police state that surpresses freedom due to food storages, that moral complexity because otherwise things would be cool.
If that king was hoarding food for himself, and gangs inciting tribalism and violence amidst the choas. That's moral grey because both sides have a touch of G&E.
If that king was harvesting the people's suffering to boost himself in some way, like everlasting life or some shit, and those gangs were instead an organized revolt.Then that's good versus evil.

Again, the problem with a Savin is that he's up his own ass and he's got too many, yes-men and fart sniffers around, so they don't look at him and tell him when he's doing bullshit.

1) Hey guys the big bad demon lady is corrupting the lands, raping, bringing untold horrors into this world, and just making a complete fucking mess of things(more than they already are), and she has a literal RAPE DUNGEON in her house but hey it's okay because she's mommy that loves you with 0 romantic build-up.
2) You know those Orcs who with your literal first encounter with, try to beat and rape you and do that to everybody else they come across? Yeah we're just like never going to address that even if you beat their leader and make the next in line your beta bitch.
3) Those Kitsunes that are vampires that literally rape you if you don't want to have sex with them and reduce your lifespan by fucking you? Oh and on top of that they're an invasive force that wiped out the presence of another people there? Yeah who cares about that.
4) Hey Ferb I know what we're going to do today! We're gonna make a widespread religion about sex(and some other things but mostly sex) that for some reason takes in children and raises them around whores getting their backs blown out! Obviously I'm not suggesting we be nasty to them or stir shit, that's certainly a one way ticket to the banhammer and it wouldn't even change anything to begin with, but I take everything any of the writers say with a heavy pinch of salt. I've just been burned too many times to give them the benefit of the doubt anymore.

I'll admit as much of a red flag as he is, and despite previously being on the official forum, I myself am just finding out this extent of how bad he is. Obviously him being an overly controlling narcissist is pretty well known but I'm willing to extend some courtesy to the TiTS staff for not noticing/realizing. Exactly on the f****** money. Which is why I say like the whole williams situation is prolly just like u said None for them "innocent." He knew the devil he was shaking hands with. And some of them are probably demons themselves.
