Now that's a tough match. I think I'll go with Quinn being less forgettable under the simple reason that people call him shit more often.

I concur, I mean, at least in game harpies gush over Agni and if for any reason you're around the windy peaks Vasha won't bother you, that's a plus. Quin instead is a never ending humiliation ritual, sure, he was written as a master seductor and all of that, but unless you push him into someone he's that guy everyone loves to hate, it's unreal how much non sympathy that dude generates, to the point your local slut catgirl, the same one who got gangbanged by the sweatiest, raunchiest, most vulgar bull miners from Khor'minos and loved it decided his dick and him as a whole was trash

Agni is bland as fuck and besides doing some loredump here and there (some guy commissioned an inside encyclopedia in the furry porn game lol) so that's her main sin, being bland, but Quin?, Quin is the worst aspects of wasted potential to the degree that anyone could take what little personality he has and make a somewhat improved version

If I had to choose a winner, I would choose neither, both are lame

And I'll include Atugia too, for the crime of being a short stack, busty, muscle redhead monster girl and do nothing with her massive potential

The Waspgirl literally gets no love/hate from anyone here. Hell I'd give her first place, but she isn't the one that needs a whole update to make sure she exists.

She doesn't appeal to hag lovers, because once she reincarnates she becomes young again.

She doesn't appeal to waifu lovers, because she's had gorillion past relationships and talks about them.

She doesn't really appeal to slut lovers, because while she does have >threesomes, she's not a major slut who does gangbangs or casual sex. She's supposedly enamored with >You and sees >You as her soulmate or whatever.

So who the fuck is her appeal!? Furthermore, any ounce of interesting lore we can gleam for her is null because she's got the Alzheimer's and can't remember shit except the people she's banged. Real fucking nice. There's a reason I rank her as my least favorite companion.

Yeah, Azy has Liaden the waifu stealer, but you can sort of avoid those scenes, and there's the stuff before the hivequest which are legitimately wholesome. Yeah Viv is a nothingburger, but she's got an S+ sexy design, so she's good eyecandy. And then there's Quin. Oh Quin, I love going to the temple to see you pay Rune $5 to hold her hand and telling you to leave so I can have sex with your OnlyFans gi- I mean, totally real crush!

But Agni gives me nothing to work with. She's not so bad she's memeable like Quin or Azy, she's doesn't got an attractive design like Vivianne, all she does is pop out of nowhere, descide we're star crossed lovers for no reason, and then start fucking all of my other lovers like some pest.

And the cherry ontop of the shit sundae which I will constantly harp on every single time she's brought up is, she's a fucking comission that someone paid to take an entire companion slot. Yeah, great fucking leadership, Savin!

They're afraid of anyone with even a smidge of talent, or at least decent ideas. That or if they refuse to bend to the will of Savin/the InGroup. Either or, maybe even both.

Not much else makes sense other than petty reasons like that.

Oh! That'd be because you interacted with them! Sav and friends so completely misunderstood the assignment, they forgot that the player needs to actually interact with their toys for them to get to like them. Somehow, they made the static npc's back from a flash game, feel more alive compared to the party members who you have to take into battle. Truly a marvel of Savco reverse engineering.

In CoC1 you had downtime back at camp every day cycle where your options were "Go to bed early,", "Fap,", or "Maybe see about farming a sex scene with that mousegirl/boy over there." You were encouraged to spend time with and enjoy, and get the stories out of them. Not only that, but everytime you refreshed the campsite description, it was full of side details about them hanging out, and even "Gasp" interacting with each other. It made them actually feel like companions, way better than the bland stat-sticks of CoC2.

CoC2 you have to remember a companion exists, go out of your way to one of two locations you're allowed to interact with them (one of which is only accessible through a useless consumable), and they're just standing there, waiting, repeating the same bark every time. The only dynamic one was Berwyn because of his heat/sub/dom mechanic. Now what happens is sometimes when you remember to sleep (because you don't have to do that in CoC2), and only if you do it at the Frosthound, sometimes an event will happen. Mostly it's just Bri reminding you she exists, and guess what, she's the most loved companion. And given we know Savco are universally lazy, of course they aren't going to write content that "Most players won't see," (which was their original excuse for no corruption content).

They broke a perfectly good system from the first game, insist they did no such thing, and then don't do anything with it because of the flaws they introduced.

Why bother writing/scripting more complicated interactions between companions? No one's going to see them anyway. Just shove a one time scene in their faces when a commissioner ponies up the cash for it, that way the commissioner is happy, and we definitely made the NPC's deeper, right guys?

Every time someone make a list of unremarkable companions she's in it but not Viviene, because people forgetting about Viviene is funny, but there's nothing funny in Agny, she's a boring Atugia if such a thing was possible

It probably is an autistic obsession or Wsan's commandment of appealing to specific crowd. B has the SKoW problem but without the interesting concepts or scenes to keep you reading. B is the guy you call to write filler - not good filler, just scholp to keep the patreon milk machine going.

As someone who never bothered to get Viv as a companion I do recall how when the patch introducing her as follower rolled out, comments were flooded with both folks salivating over her, but also with people disappointed with Berwyn's fate. I'll admit, for all that hype building I am surprised and somewhat amused just how much of a nothingburger that turned out to be.

As for Agni, I don't know if it's just me, but seeing her oh so very old artwork used in the patch notes just kills all interest immediately. Yep, she's naked, she tries and fails to pose, whoopdiedoo. Might as well try to get aroused to a shop mannequin. On second thought, scratch that. I'm sure people can make mannequins hotter.
