Well Rooster Teeth actually died and then had it's corpse bought out by Viz Media. So now volume 10 is apparently in the works, but considering none of the people who worked on RWBY got replaced, it's still probably going to be a total shitshow that ends stupidly.

RWBY was a really great series of concept albums

It can only be saved by rebooting it and tossing out the original writers who flanderized the characters and wrote themselves into a corner. In my ideal world it would be turned into a series of character action games like NIER Automata.

I've seen this mentioned a few times but I don't know what it is. Is it a new dungeon or a place for drider characters to be added and to move the two preexisting ones to? I may have arachnophobia but I believe in fluffy spider women supremacy.

DriderNest is a new home location for the two current driders to move to and new ones to be added to. It involves a small quest to introduce Ihzalti to the Drider Queen, and also adds two new driders to the game: Miro (Ihzalti's brother, a sexable cuntboy), and Lilith, a weaver who you can buy new clothing items from. It's currently sitting at about 16k words and is roughly about half done.

Funny story about it! I actually commed it from Bubbles when he was still around, but he left before it was completed, same as with his fem!Hirrud com. When it became clear he wasn't coming back, I decided to just write it myself.

Even though Salem has all of the relics and has apparently pushed everyone to Vacuo (Beacon and Vale got destroyed offscreen. I'm not fucking joking. Look up the volume 9 epilogue animatic that was half finished before Rooster Teeth croaked.) I'm sure RWBY will pull some bullshit out of their ass that either reforms Salem or traps her in the zone of silence or whatever. And Cinder will probably be a good girl now and everyone will just dance around singing praises to Ruby.

I really only kept watching RWBY past volume 5 out of wanting to watch a trainwreck and laughing at the fact they seriously did this plot thread or had that scene and thought it was good to release. Volume 8 was the point I knew RWBY was well and truly fucked.

Yang is a hateful bitch who mistreats her own sister and screams at everyone while just having googly eyes for Blake, who likewise just exists to be Yang's crush. It would be funny if it's pointed out she's literally turned into Raven, but the writers obviously aren't self aware to realize that. Ruby is a useless idiot who constantly makes the wrong choices but justifies it with "We're the heroes!". Team JNR is irrelevant as always. They made Qrow a totally dumbass who teams up with an acutal serial killer in a fight and is shocked when he's betrayed. Ironwood a paranoid maniac. They brought back Penny and made her a real girl only to kill her immediatly. The election subplot that was totally a gripping commentary about the 2016 U.S. election and not as subtle as an atom bomb.

Thankfully, my based queen Weiss's only sin is that she was irrelevant in the story that's meant to delve into her own country and her relationships with her family, and the fact she was jobbing hard the entire volume. Which is the least egregious out of all the rest of the cast. And yes, I would do her, Winter, and their mother Willow all at the same time.

Thats...a lot lore, but it wasted on me. I've killed my interest for it, the osts are certified bangers tho. No idea where they found her but the voice on her is amazing.

I've been part of the community for roughly five-ish years. It depends on the submission content in question. Some get in almost immediately, like the PC hellhound pregnancy I wrote for Mayternity 2024, others, like my Quin stuff, languish for a lot longer. It sorta depends on what kind of content is currently in demand. It is what it is and I'm not really upset about it anymore.

Mhmm, depends on if it fits the current need. While tht approach is very easy to abuse as "content update," makes when your stretching things out. Tho the Quin stuff might just be because the bubs ain't exactly loved and Quin isn't a propriety. I hope for the best for yah.

I knew going into adopting him that it was going to be an uphill battle, so I'm prepared for it. There are more people that hate Quin than like him, including a lot of the devs, and since I won't turn him into a girl that drops his priority list by a lot.

That being said, right now I'm working on writing Refnir and the DriderNest expansion, so it'll be a little bit longer before I can turn my focus back to Quin.

So, I would suggest that whenever his expansion come, that you, Savin or whoever is responsible for patch notes, emphesize that he has entierly new writer(you) and that you are seemingly trying to give him a rebrand. While it did not quite work for Berwyn, I do think that it could work here since you do not seem trying to reinvent Quinn to much, just ironing out his kinks. Not trying to give him a different niche, rather expanding on the current one.

It would be a shame if vitriol people have for the former writer prevented them from enjoying the content you wrote.

So he can be an asshole, misogynistic dom that can later collar you OR, if dom breaking is your thing, you can turn him into a submissive and collar him to have a good boy. You can also turn him into a her with the genderbent route (same dom/sub paths), but she is a dickgirl. This is because I'm personally not a huge fan of writing NPC vagina. That being said, I put out an offer in the discord that if anyone wanted to sponser it and commission me to write the option for a submissive fem!Refnir to be dedicked, I would write it, but no one took me up on it.

Regarding Quin, I went through and rewrote a LOT of his talks. He no longer oversexualizes the companions and has actual thoughts about them as people, he doesn't use his magic on random bystanders, and he actually talks to you (the person who saved him) about himself and trusts in you outright much more.

Also as a side note for Berwyn: he was Hugs' self insert. The only plan Hugs had for him was to make him a depressed, bipolar shut-in. If B hadn't taken him and finished him, Savin was just gonna full throttle make him a dickgirl with no other option. The whole situation sucked, but I'm glad we got what we did instead of what could have been.

Imo, much like some of you said, RWBY started of great but quickly spiraled after Monty's passing( may he rest in peace); but if there's ONE singular thing I can say to have come to like from the mess they made, it was Ruby's breakdown and the memes it spawned

I wrote tfs for: being a crow monfolk (for male pcs who want to be birds! This one is actually approved and waiting to be coded), a hellhound tf, a wyvern tf, and some adjustments to the demon tf that make it so you can be a hooved, more draenei-like demon. I've been requested recently to make one for kobolds, so I'll be writing one for that soon as well! A dear friend of mine has tfs for mecians and squirrels in the que as well! I don't see why I can't add a chubby capybara tf to my list, but I can't promise anything!

The cult angle has been reworked, yes! Hopefully now his backstory and how he came to join the cult will garner him much more sympathy as someone who was trying to help out a close friend of his from falling into a bad crowd and getting pulled into himself, and is just trying to do better. I'm also hoping that I can make him more of a bro/wingman character for those that aren't into his sex/group content, since I've been reading that Brint's fulfilment of that roll is falling flat with this section of game audience.

As for ToBs, the most I can say is that he approved and passed a submission that was so subpar it basically had to almost be rewritten properly (which is crazy, because he is known as the harshest reviewer. I can only assume it's because it was from an avid kitsune fan and for a kitsune that had been in limbo). Ever since, he's basically disappeared from Discord and has even dropped down to part time. He used to do a lot of the review work, so having his review privileges revoked has slowed down the community review process tremendously.

I did not know that. Still, in game, as things were, Berwyn did not feel like a self insert. I am not sure of your personal thoughts of him as a companion, but I really enjoyed whaw was there. He sucked at combat, though.

Still, That is still dickish thing to do. Even ignoring their beef with Hugs, spitting in the face of people that liked Berwyn as this josou seme ideal just to spite the author... Like, why hurt also the folk that were attached to him? Also, I feel like B did not need to write the whole gendebend deal, unless he was commisioned for. Sure, from the looks of it, we have gotten the lesser of the two evils, but it is stil evil.

It was not. It was solely my decision to not genderbend the bunnyboy, but I'm determined to not let things turn out in the same way as the Berwyn situation, even if it did earn me some shit from some of the regulars. I really want to give him a fighting chance as a viable companion and listened to the feedback from the players that are asking for reasonable things.
