Idk, it just has a lot of concepts and dynamics with thoughtful and, more often than not ,meaningful curation of ideas, scenarios, and relationships it is just something that I would like to see more of and once I actually got passed the setup at the beginning and the story started to flesh out I was pleasantly surprised by how engaging it all was.
Definitely a lot of fun characters to interact with, obviously everyone's tastes differ, but you start liking Cait for her attitude and loveliness, then you meet Etheryn and she's so cute... but then you run into Lyric (girl) and she's adorable... but then you meet Zo and Brienne (oh... Brienne... why did I have to miss you on my main good guy play though). Then maybe you meet Kiyoko and despite what you think of Kitsune, you just feel so much for the lonely fox and have fun making a family, if only to shove it in those other kitsunes' faces.

I can't think of an obsessed fan during the medieval days that this story is... presumably taking part without thinking of our good ol' pal...

Ah, yes. I remember something like that going. Do like to imagine that the PC (preferably my PC, the almighty I'm a Moron) would instantly look to Etheryn and go "we're gonna have to kill that bitch later, won't we?". Fast forward to a whole trip later and there she fucking is.

I do remember seeing her, not making the connection, then sort of remembering the name, taking a look at the art they got for her and going "...Oh, man, you've seen better days, didn't you?".

Well, yes. I typed that under the assumption that most of the game's player base is tracking along after stumbling on some point. Probably those chest puzzles with the stones.

That said, I do think it works with the eventual player that arrives late enough to the game that it's a relevant choice. That's the shit with games that take ages to get finished, we can only imagine what's gonna happen.
Whish there was a kicking mechanic for Lyric, (this in no way means I wanna bully her, just add something else to the combat mechanic), that would make her truly adoring

70 hours in half a week? Considering that 3 days is 72 hours, that's literally playing a porn game 24/7 without sleeping or eating.
Even if we assume "half" to be an exaggeration and count it as a full week, it's still almost 12 hours per day doing nothing but playing a single porn game.

What the actual fuck. o_O
There's no way in 9 hells main plot is that long, especially if you skip the sex scenes. Does bro actually just reads TOBS' novels over and over in circles???

Edit: Anyways. I recommend you to turn off the computer, and go have some healthy sleep. This kind of obssession is super unhealthy.
Bro is having his like energy syphoned into keeping Feno's erection alive, Savin's golden cuck throne shinning with all that coomer energy

A toilet, someone that can empathize with Cait's life.
Honestly that could be the ending for Cait's temple route, like that catgirl from TiTs when you push her to get bigger tits to the point she gets stuck inside of her apartment doing cam shows

Mindbroken meat-toilet Cait living as a "true saint" of Mallach's Temple, in a state of perpetual orgasmic bliss being used by her loyal followers day and night while Salwah takes cares of the day to day duties

Knife-wielding crab gonna run me on doc or am I "benched"?

Bro's mind is fried from Tobs bs. :BootyTime:
This "game" ain't worth losing sleep over
Since this thread is so responsive, what the hell is TOBS? I did a search in the chat and on online in general and I still have no idea what you are talking about. I am genuinely curious is it a person, a style of writing, an engine, a game genre? All what I found seems to lead to the former, but conclusively I do not know, just that there are LOTS of mentions about it and references to it.

TOBS is The Observer, one of the writers of the game and the guy behind most of the kitsune stuff

The reason we talk about him and his writing style is mostly because the in game kitsune daughter of the champion, Kinu, and the hilariously bad way she's implemented with the time skip and other stuff you might find along the thread, add to that the glassing of imperial Japan and the self insert commissioned Kinu porn and you'll get the picture

And to add to what Jbuster told you, Tob's whole deal with Kinu is all about drama that happened between Savin and the community during the first CoC regarding a character he was suppose to write incest for. I made a comment going into more detail about that situation. Suffice to say, it was shit Tob's wasn't even around for but the dude got so mindbroken about it he wrote not just one but two spite characters about this drama that didn't involve him.

TOBS (also known as The Observer) is a writer for this game. Aside from the fact that he wrote most of the kitsunes (not all of them), he is particularly infamous for his writing style being overly verbose, monotonous and needlessly dragging on. I genuinely started drowsing off a couple times while reading some of TOBS' longer pieces of writing.
There's also a lot of interpersonal drama and development sabotage he has been involved in over the years of working on this and other projects, but that's more for the people who are 'in the know' about that kind of stuff.

Thanks for the clarification. Yeah the Kinu thing was fucking weird the way it was implemented. And then there was a prompt about hearing about her getting married when I had not heard a fucking thing and she was let out like the day before.

Was unaware about the drama behind the scenes, though I kinda always thought The Observer had the oddest style of writing and it is hard to follow when your persona is actually speaking or not while all of it seems to be in a weird second third person mix which, aside from the lack of a way to save scenes in like a database to go back and read later when you have more time, is one of my biggest gripes. The perspectives and frame of reference really needs to be more consistent, I kinda loathe whenever that writer's name comes up because I always have to get creative in the way that I am reading the text in my head which detracts from the immersion in the story.

Are there any other games like this that are primarily just narratively driven with small avatars and static illustrations with actual gameplay and stats that are this in depth but also finished?

And to be clear i don't care if it is NSFW or not, I just like the indie aesthetic and the way it basically all in your head with just a few illustrative guides along the way and I think it is really commendable the way they recognize the people that are responsible for their own sections.

You missed me at Cait, rerailed at Lyric. Kiyoko's... complicated.

A toilet, someone that can empathize with Cait's life.
I think you're thinking of a gloryhole or a blow-up doll.

Whish there was a kicking mechanic for Lyric, (this in no way means I wanna bully her, just add something else to the combat mechanic), that would make her truly adoring
They kinda nailed two of my suggestions on how to use Lyric in combat with the growth update but I do think they missed out on having her be used as a bowling ball or do some basketball moves. Just imagine Brienne posterizing an imp, tongue out like Jordan.

See, that's the thing with his shtick. And you weren't even aware of the background of Kinu's drama when you've read it.

They were proud of it too.

Inheritance's fun if you like an adorable story, even if a bit of a grind.
