I do remember some people talking about how we'll be able to marry her if we refuse to build the temple, but she'll continue to sleep around or something like that. It was on their discord. Considering this, I wouldn't get my hopes up for anything monogamous from Cait.

It's a funny concept, from time to time new players outside of the discord and the forum play this game, reach the temple and get the idea that doing this one nice thing for Caitimplies romance but no, that's not the romance choice, so they wonder what's the alternative?, only to learn they've been cooking said alternative for almost five years

Then in one way or another they wander through this forum looking for answer and what do they find?, milfs, futas, muscles, chubby girs, femboys, fucking mares, etc., and a bunch of randoms going around in circles

I can't remember exactly who was participating in the conversation, but I remember some ideas like having a gangbang after the wedding and just thinking about it makes me want to barf. I haven't seen Savin say THIS, but he HAS said Cait will not be exclusive with the champion, so I wouldn't put it beneath him.

When it was mentioned, it just sounded to me like a show of her faith, which she's always professed and been clear about, and that it would also make it easier to study the portal location and possibly seal it, or at least make it harder for cultists or others to reach it, since it's now inside a temple and not just a ruin on a hill.

It just seemed a nice way to reward her. I didn't get the impression it was going to change her in any way, just possibly make for a different interactions (and yes, for more NPCs to show up, which it does). Maybe just me, though. Cait always made her her relationship status crystal-clear, so while I wouldn't mind a sudden shift or possibility her relationship builds, I never would expect it.

Probably from how you'll apparently be able to undo the whorehouse temple, but yeah, massive stretch.

Not to mention you'd have to lock out a lot of content if she was to suddenly no longer be a whore. You wouldn't be able to lob her at the horses anymore, for example, even more of a reason not to happen.

I wish there were an option to replace Cait with another starting character-literally anyone else. I haven’t touched this game in over a year, but back then, the fact that Cait is the default companion was one of the worst parts of the experience. Who actually enjoys these kinds of archetypes? Her entire personality feels like a personified slideshow porn game. Judging by the comments, it doesn’t look like much has changed since then. The first companion in the game should be versatile, flexible-someone you can shape into what you want-not whatever the hell Cait is

I can't imagine this being anything other than a coding nightmare no matter how you cut it. Whether we like it or not the character is too deeply ingrained into the game so an alt path would be a lot of retroactively tweaking content. Even if she does get an alt path (which is far more feasible) I doubt we're gonna see much difference unless someone crawls through all of her content. The option to whore her out is still gonna be there I reckon, she'll just have a couple of extra parsers more likely than not, so yeah I wouldn't get my hopes up either way.

Aside from the slut character being more controversial than expected, I wonder if Cait's so divisive because she's perpetually horny with no buildup or reason so corruption enjoyers don't get anything, doesn't even go far enough for the depraved enjoyers, and is a flat character so the RPG enjoyers don't get anything. She appeals to no one outside of being busty but there's so many other characters with that trait so she's not special. The only other thing she has is being female in a game that only acknowledges 3 out of 5 genders and has an excess representation of futa.

I can only speak for how I read it, I don't know any actual plans. I don't believe that anyone implied in game that she would change if you didn't build the temple (I can't speak for someone saying something on a forum about plans, I didn't hear any). Cait's always been about her faith and following the teachings of Mallach. It's part of her whole story, she didn't want to travel with her sister and father, only at the last minute did she join them (which is why her harlot tattoo preventing pregnancy wasn't removed).

No, I don't recall anyone ever stating that Cait would marry the Champ or even give up her faith if the Temple wasn't built in game or on any boards (though obviously I don't see every post on the Discord).
