I’ll be clear: I’m pretty late to the party, at least as a writer; even as a community member, I only really showed up around 2020. But I can say with confidence that the Corrupt Hive’s sorry state was mostly a stopgap for promised content, that never ended up materializing. He’s not kidding about writers expressing intent to flesh it out, then disappearing. There’s been a LOT of faces that just disappeared over the five years I’ve been around. That stopgap turned into a holdover as time went on. The last thing the corrupt hive got was, genuinely, something Savin explicitly directed Tobs to do, in order to give it SOMETHING for content, and that was Love Knight Bimbo Azzy as an enemy.

Lessons were learned from that disaster; Corrupted Khor’Minos exists solely as a handful of futureproofed parsers, never so much as implied to exist without ripping up the floorboards to check under the hood at the code.

So, do I think it was handled a bit sloppily? Yeah, 100%. Do I think there could have been a cleaner solution? Sure as hell not any I can think of. Savin was kinda holding a shit hand for this, and this was the best way to play the cards. I guarantee you that hindsight is 20/20, because a LOT of stuff was learned from development of this project.

Then again, I don’t really have a horse in this race, since I don’t jive with corruption content. I guess I understand why folks are upset, but I personally won’t be holding this against Sav. The hive was always a bit of a dumpster fire, and at least now it’s out, you know?

Sorry if it might feel like a bit of a pile up and while I know you're friends with the guy, I kinda can't not mention that your friend's kind of a bitch.

Bit abrasive, pissed people off from time to time for the wankiest reasons, generally not someone known for delivering on things properly unless it's stuff he himself likes.

So while I do believe he gave it a shot, I also can imagine he screwed it up, possibly on purpose, through usual Savin shenanigans.

And for the record, I generally don't care about anything related to the Hive to begin with. The little Instant Lesbian Romance bit made me gloss over the whole thing and just treat it as someone else's playthrough leaking in.

I remember letting them go scissor each other the first playthrough, then never bothering with it again. Shit, I barely remember the name of the bee girl.

If it helps, it's probably one of their better franchises. Granted, the Brazilian constitution has an article that explicitly declares us to be Sega country and that Nintendo has to be pirated for reasons of morality, I can at least respect their efforts when they're not shit.

...Damn shame about Starfox Command.

I'm not going to bother reading past this because this is where you started lying, he's had years to do this himself, this is not a hobby, this isn't a project he does in his free time, this is this idiot's 9-5 JOB, if you told your boss: "It was really hard so I didn't bother finishing and just trashed the rest so it woudn't be unfinished" how long would you still be employed?

I'm calling it now, rushed ending as a prelude for either CoC3 the visual novel or CoC3D, long ass linear quest, have to use all of your companions, fight together with Kass against Tollus and then ultimate surprise plot twist, romantic path or kill her path?, and Tobs will write the epilogue that for some reason, will be twice as long as the whole game

At least you guys have government mandated Yakuza marathons. All I get is disappointment at Pokémon's handling, the realization that my favorite and first FE game Three Houses was the outlier in gameplay and tone, and ten more years of Edelgard discourse.
