The problem comes when I know that releasing them is an ultimate net negative. I know the writers of this game have their temper tantrums but apparently Tobs went through this journey of melodrama arguing with straw men he made up in his head to defend why he made Kinu the way he did.
Saying people that wanted to spend time with her was pedos or something yet commissioned porn of the character and made the decision for having one of her adult appearances look like this.

Found Kiyokos amulet. Completely forget about the storyline and love Kiyoko again, she has Kinu. I see the white fur and get vietnam flashbacks of how awful the storyline becomes when I let my precious wife, daughter and dozens of offsprings out. How im looking at Kiyoko, Kinu and my small country worth of kitsune kids if they ask if im ever going to free them from the stone.

That would be a worry if the likelihood of a modded version not eventually overtaking whatever spiteful version Savco cooks wasn't this strong. It will happen, whether Savin wants it or not anyway. Hell, doesn't even need to be us. Sole way they'd ever curtail it was if they kept working on it for perpetuety.

Speaking of whom, devs must have been mistaken in which deity she is supposed to be worshipping considering she'll gladly take the cock of any stray you bring to her, especially Brint (who they gave a dedicated pregnancy bust). I'm of the mind they should've cut the amulet and have Kiyoko already out and the two Kinus being her twin daughters whose dad was a native who is no longer around for whatever reason and explore them being 2nd generation immigrants torn between two cultures and the expectations of others. The kid Kinu art can be repurposed for a new hypothetical child with Kiyoko. Brienne's family gets equally as messy so it's not out of place.

You can set the flag two ways the console or editing your save.
For the console you can open the console by pressing ctrl+shift+I or f12 if the console isn't opening and you playing using the .exe file go to resources\app in those nested folders you'll find index.html opening that file will let you run the game in your browser. Once you have the console open you can modify the flag with the command flags.OLIVIA_DUE = x (replace x with the value of your choice).

Once you have the file open use the find function of whatever text editor you decided to use to find \"OLIVIA_DUE\": the number listed after is what the flag is set to, change it to what ever pleases you.

This is like a random long tangent going off, but something that always made me raise an eyebrow was whenever I'd see Savin & Co (And Fenco in general) state about how hard it is to write smut for characters after doing it for a decade now. And while I do agree to an extent (I have docs of character ideas I used to do practice writing in waaay back and the sex as fun as it is when I am in the mood is rough for many factors, namely having to account for the damn PC in these games, along with making the scenes not same-y, which honestly ruins the interest to do them), you then look at the fact that games like Lilith's Throne Exist, and then DoL. I never played other games with interactive sex so any that apply to this can count too.
As opposed to entirely written sex scenes from the ground up, they have interactive sex systems where you click a button and do an action and the character responds thusly with their own, progressing via lust until they finish or in LT's case you do and you leave them alone edged. LT you don't exactly do the same thing with a character every time bc unless you lose you have a lot of control in how to fuck a character, be they randos or named NPCs, and can go for as long as you wish.
DoL as much as it takes control away from you -which is the point, you have to make do in ways you can get it back when allowed bc of the game's themes-, is also built around entirely in an interactive sex system. You have varying means of responding through how a character fucks you, be it from submissive, to fighting back to stop them, to making things difficult for them.

I even play Carnal Voyages here or there which is like a sequel game for the dev's first game Carnal Coup, and getting past its UI and its issues I've seen both written sex scenes for it AND an interactive sex system, so it's not like it's not doable to do both when applicable.

Anyways in regards to LT and DoL, they don't have you slaving over multiple options of sex scenes, there's not exactly a "one way" to do a scene. You're not needing to worry about a word quota, and as "samey" as they could get bc of how the system works, I would take it greatly over the lack of passion the writing of sex has been in CoC2. You wouldn't have TOBs's stupid diatribes going on longer than they'd need to or his weird weeabo or fucked up fetish shit, you wouldn't have Savin's flat writing. There wouldn't even need to be any slaving over the sex stuff at all. Just write the reactions/dialogue and get someone with coding experience to make the system itself handle the rest, at least from what I presume that works. (I do not know coding for I am a just a digital artist so I could be wrong). In the case of DoL I wouldn't be surprised even if this system has saved the hassle enough to allow for more character-based writing around some NPCs to make them more fleshed out. Bc then the game dev doesn't have to worry or stress about the sex parts, they can focus on the character development and flesh them out better without risk of smut burnout that Fen/Sav & Co are clearly experiencing to a detriment.

LT precedes CoC2 even, so I don't understand why they didn't try to innovate FROM the clear underlining annoyance than is having to write sex scenes from scratch every time and either having to try to make them unique or being repetitive with them. Your mind can only do so much to make sex varied without getting too crazy with it, after all.

"When writing a character the sex scenes are the hardest part" you say? Then why not work smarter around that? Especially since this damn mess of a "team" had clearly scared/pushed away everyone who writes sex scenes in ways that are actually enjoyable or intimate. Just throw it all out at this point and do something different with it. Unless writing down wholeass sex scenes is their "brand", okay sure, that's certainly working out for them. :U

In regards to LT's take on sex scenes I think most people prefer unique sex scenes as not to watch the same thing for nth time.

Just fukin imagine if all the random encounters had same scenes no matter the enemy, that wouldnt make sense due to different personal characteristics unless you would deliberately write the blandest thing that would fill everything.

Looking at the audience and us, Id reckon we all have some fav npcs(frost pupper my beloved) and they have their own unique sex scenes that help them stand out in a sea of same content.

In regards of coding, If coc2 wanted to do something similar I think the system might sooner self destruct with all the parsers involved and if you just threw them away then why bother making the system in the first place if it would feel inferior to what we have now, no matter how scuffed it is.

You can get the more conservative version if you hang out with her a lot as well. The problem with the whole set up is that it uses hard numbers to determine how Kinu comes out of the orb.

For example if you only do one Kinu event and you choose the "Inari" you will always get the conservative version. Likewise for "princess" Kinu. Unless you know what answers push her in what direction, spending more time with her can make it hard to know what Kinu your getting. My guess as to why you keep getting the Slut version is because you make Kinu forgive her mom after she burns some stuff. I remember that have a big affect on the numbers.

I do agree to an extent, I like the written sex scenes too when they're good. It's just funny to see them talk about how the most frustrating part of writing a character is the sex scenes, in a text-based smut game. Like they signed up for that instead of finding other means to make it less cumbersome in later entries. xP

You better stick to one class and don't hybridize, and always prioritize your own survivability. Because this game for some reason copied a very annoying mechanic (from SMT Nocturne) of your companions just giving up and dying the moment your player character's health bar reaches zero, and at the same time "balanced" the entire game around you having full 4-man party with you at all times (which means enemies will have more turns than you, and will have annoying crowd control abilities and passives).
If you want to even have a chance at having fun with the combat - switch to Charmer.

Dual classing is hard since the stats are kinda not supportive of it. I'd suggest keeping an at-will heal and sticking to weapon and physical skills for everything else. Regardless you need at least one AoE since after act 1 there's a lot of group fights.

Summons are shit and stances are too situational.

There's a reason the save editor is popular to buff stats even if you don't plan to solo the game.
