Alright, so [Anon] is writing some Kurako content, where they start a relationship. They wanted some feedback. Gonna use spoilers for space saving reason. Things to understand: Currently this option is only available if Champ is the baron/ess of the Wayfort and Kiyoko has been freed, so those aren't issues.
Here's the start, where Champ asks her on a Date.
Okay, that's the lead in (and this all still rough draft. don't worry about small grammar or typos), but here was the next part:
My comment on that was, 'What if Kiyoko is in the party? Kurako might say things differently and Kiyoko should have something to say. Writer agreed and wrote this:
Currently, it's set as an either/or parser. If Kiyoko is there when Kurako is asked, the scene above. If she's not, then that original scene plays. Normal stuff.
So after reading the Kiyoko addition, my response was along the lines of, 'That's amazing (tweak some wording and typos at the time)! This is great. In fact, this is so good, that no reader should have to miss this. Since the scene requires Kiyoko to be freed anyway. You should just require her to be there, because this feels like the right path not for the Champ (who's allowed to be a jerk) but because it feels like the right answer for Kurako (to decline without Kiyoko's consent).
[Anon] is not sure and wanted some opinions. Mine is that while it's okay for some Champ's to be dismissive of Kiyoko and just invite Kurako, that not every reader might feel that way about their fox consort/wife and wouldn't appreciate and I feel Kurako wouldn't do it without hearing from Kiyoko.
The question [Anon] asked me to pose is: Do you think it would make sense to just require Kiyoko to be in the party for Kura's consent. If she's not, Kurako will say she needs to think and talk with Lady Otomo (I am not doing the line over the O) and then maybe a bolded message at the end that Champ should return with Kiyoko in party to continue the conversation. Or... just not worry about it and just...have her moved into the outpost possibly a little later?
I will pass along opinions.
