I pretty much rush the Brienne transformation as quickly as possible before I bother focusing on anything else, then toss her back in the tavern and never really interact with her again unless some quest/location kinda requires it. Easiest way I could find to just never have to (even accidentally) deal with it. I have no idea why Arona doesn't bother me in the same way, I categorically do not like futa or cuck content.

I noticed there's much less stuff like this written for Arona. Most stand-out pieces of such content I can think of are interactions with Etheruined, but you have to deliberately put both Etheruined and Arona into your party for them to trigger.
So, again, Arona is much more tolerable because she's not nearly as invasive as Brint/Cait.

You're probably right, thinking about it that way. There's a reason my party rarely includes Cait. Generally just Atugia/Azzy (interchangeably) & Kiyoko.

They are still in the game. They are still taken into account for the new scenes with the manticore twins. I don't think there's a dedicated tail sex only scene, but they're there. It's just that there's not a lot of new manticores since Valencia and now the twins (and their mom). The manticore male is new, but I haven't really interacted with him, and I don't think males have tail genitalia.
The only tail stuff that has been removed is the Tail Bash attack, since it was the only TF that added an actual attack (and it sucked, relatively speaking), and they felt actual mechanical benefits or powers should be linked with soul-bound transformations. Which is probably fair.

Like yes, the Manticore NPC's and enemies still have their cunt tails and scenes, but the player hasn't for a long ass time

Yup, that was removed along with the scenes. Since no PC tailcunt = no PC tailcunt scenes.

They kinda sucked power wise, but was a cool and surprising feature.... would sure be cool to have some of that flavor back.

No, it's not fair or even balanced, the whole idea of tfs being purely cosmetic is retarded. I'll keep saying it again and again. Why even bother adding tfs if they do literally nothing? Even less than nothing, because character descriptions in events and combat barely ever aknowledge even what little we are allowed to do with PlayerCharacter transformations in this game. Shit sucks no matter how you look at it.

TOBS almost doesn't write any new kitsune content anymore. And on discord they've been talking about completely removing Takahiro from the game too.
Good news all around.

I think the mod server was talking about removing him entirely a day or so ago.

The kitsune are dead, long live the kitsune.

Kitsune are abandonware it seems. The only content for them has been from community writers or Savin making a new character.

Kinuanon is almost single handedly making content for them, mostly around Kinu. There's also some potential planning around maybe doing something with all the foxes you knock up that aren't Kiyoko, namely actually seeing some of the kids who aren't Kinu.

My issue is how forced into it all we are, like literally to do everygreen stuff we are forced into the fox den. Then theres the whole daughter controversy with Kiyoko

The big thing with that is Tobs forcibly tries to fuck up a perfectly healthy family because he must have mommy or daddy issues.

The God Sworn Tfs should only have unique abilities and variations, not the only ones. It all comes back to Savin's belief there should be no benefit to TFs outside of cosmetics that are almost never acknowledged. Maybe instead of being worried a TF would add a balance breaking ability he should've balanced the game properly. Removing Tail Whack was stupid because there's Lightning Fist which is almost identical, and as an at-will both have been outclassed by Twisted Pyre and Double Attack. Another big brain balancing decision brought to you by the guy who thinks champ loss=party wipe, no resolve was great, and that enemies needed more health and backup.

So im actually starting a new playthrough, haven't really touched much of the new updates since march this year so i figured why not.

My actual question is, is it worth it to do a playthrough with Kyoko as a permanent party member? i kinda want to switch it up a a bit. I know she has stuff to say later on but i wonder if there's any point in bringing her in early.

I also quite liked the small quest involving Livrea at the beginning of the game. Next goal though is too immediately rush south and turn Brint into my cow wife.

It's gonna be hard for me to not bring Etheryn with me, yeah, i actually still like her and don't think she's ruined at all.

Unfortunately that's not new. The female Leothrans in Vari's village have the same deal where you're supposedly breeding them but there isn't anything to show for it. And considering how old that is, it's probably gonna be a bit for preg content, if it's even planned.

They sucked because the code was ass. Even worse after some of the refactoring revamp did. What I'll always remember is that the player formula for stat changes would reset any stat to 100 if it was above 100, and this same function was used in a lot of enemy-targeting attacks, so naga bite that normally does 2 strength and 2 speed debuff would knock a late game or scaled enemy from 190 speed/str to just 100 in an instant. It also had underflow errors so one a stat got low enough, it would wrap around to the billions, and the poison would then say it drained a billion points of speed and strength.
Maybe that's where Xianxia got its power scaling ideas from.
Every TF attack in /hgg/ got refactored to fix them and make them more generally useful, especially if you pick the Natural Weapons perk. Including different race claws having different damage and bleed values.
Of course some abilities in vanilla were always great and never became bad, like dragonfire. Good damage and stun. Once-per-day limit for a reason.

Why would it be better without TFs granting abilities? It's only a burden if you have to consider it in writing lots of scenes, but as just combat abilities that's low burden. It's not like it punishes people that don't like the aesthetic, since I'm used to tons of TFs being mechanically good and I still don't go for them. While the furry is using their hoof kick, I was bashing with my shield. While the furry was using their lust bite, I was studying the blade.
And that's the only potential justification I can think of — that giving TFs abilities would be punishing people that don't want to be some hideous chimera of animal parts. You can still be aesthetic, just have a semblance of balance in playstyles.
