Because if you don't want Azzy and you don't want laiden in the village, you send them away, and it's a dead end. And it's the same thing as corrupted hive except you have corruption for two characters that are your own to play with. So what was the point?

Specifically non-sexual interactions, like justifying an excessively violent course of action. My personal thought on corruption is it being the character's restraint being slowly eroded away instead of them just being kinky enough to lick cum off the floor or having edgier dialogue.
I know it's essentially relegating it to a good/evil mechanic (given the whole spiel about purity and corruption =/= good and evil), but then that brings up restricting the player's choices when by default there's almost none.

My opinion on it is that corruption really shouldn't be a good versus evil moniker. Because corruption really just means how much of the otherworldly spu you have in you.
In essence, it really just means the lowering of inhibitions and a lot more of what your ID wants. Because you're id is the aspect of you or the shadow of the self. It's a lot more self serving, a lot more sexual, more quick to violence, and doesn't care about what others think; it's what about what you want in that momemt. So I think when they say, "oh, it's ultraviolent" that's bs. If they wrote established proper personalities for the characters that they claim then Corruption would be easy to work with. But that's the thing, I don't think characters here have proper personalities that our writer can work with in order to twist. They don't have motivations.They don't have a reason to be in the story, their history doesn't inform how they act. So they can't twist it in a way where that person becomes a lot more self serving selfish, a lot more dramatized. I think it's an excuse because they're trash writers.

I wonder why they didn't do it like that. The system had been there in TiTS with how it handles your stats, after all. Instead they took the "Nice/Misc/Hard" personality number bar thresholds instead when it could've been more nuanced than "0 is kind, 100 is asshole". It'd still be a number bar going up and down, but it wouldn't be with rigid fixed raises/falls like with TiTS's personality system.

Not to mention, you're asking a porn game pirate website about whether you should keep playing or even like a particular porn game, so you definitely don't have much better to do with your time if the potential time investment is something your afraid off. But if you really do care about your time, you should get second opinions from other sources, like Steam and the Fenoxo forum, and compare responses to make an informed decision.

Do you know why I ask a Pirate site instead of steam? Because in my experience Piraters have no shame or restriction in their opinion on the games they pirate. You guys are more honest and free on your opinions than most steam reviews.

While that's a good idea in itself that still doesn't address what the corruption can affect or be used for. Halfway along
development they stopped gating depraved sexual acts which begs the question on how the mechanic should be repurposed.

Option A is just having it be a Good/Evil scale because that would be easy to implement and account for. Again I personally rationalize this as the character's restraint and intrusive, impulsive thoughts a person wouldn't usually act on -- often selfish and at other's expense, which then just translates to "evil".

Option B is reverting to the base game mechanic of having it gate obscene sexual acts such as having sex with imps or drinking from the cum chalice lock, since by non porn-rotted logic that should be a disgusting act both physically and morally to the average decent human being. The issue here is that it would be gating people's choice and I'm unsure whether that's a good or bad thing.

The problem is outside of a few potential universal cases, what's considered corrupt varies between people. Another problem is in the setting, every character is porn brained to the point that the issues with fucking imps and Kas is treated as more of a bad relationship choice than the borderline apocalyptic act in the first game. I think the setting is in the way of a clear answer.

To give a definitive take that isn't me fence sitting, I'd say gate sex scenes but not story choices. Like experimenting with an imp is fine but gives corruption but you would need a certain level to say get them to gangbang Ryn with you and lick up the aftermath while taunting/teasing Ryn. I don't know if there can be a clear answer everyone will agree on without substantial changes to the setting.

The problem is that it's not clearly defined. It's too flaky. It's supposed to be like your emotions are suppressed, but we've seen where submitted characters have full blown relationships and emotional attachment. But in the same vein the lore states that most emotions are done away with that isn't associated with sex or violence.
