The shit he writes isn't even complicated or intelligent is the thing. He makes it seem like it is with all this useless flowery language, but in reality it's shallow enough for an average middle school student to grasp. It is incredibly obvious that the Kitsune are the assholes and that Gweyr could have handled the situation better.

In a vacuum, this would be fine if the player had agency or the characters in question were written in a compelling and multi-faceted way. But the thing is, TOBS does neither of those things. He doesn't allow the player to feel like they're truly in the game(which is the entire fucking point of the game) and vindicate themselves, yet he also doesn't even give you the opportunity to become invested in these scenarios because all of the characters in question are one-dimensional unapologetic dickheads.

Allow players to actually express their distaste with these situations instead of forcing the PC of our characters to be doormats. If not, actually create a reason to make me give a shit about this conflict in the first place.

Let your kitsune family actually give a shit about you and defend you from these other Kitsune dickheads. Introduce ways to actually raise our daughter so she doesn't become a spiteful cunt for no reason. Let the player say, "I don't give a shit about you viewing me as a barbarian, you're all pathetic outcasts that can't even be accepted in your own nation. You're all failures that have no right to judge anybody else." Allow me to actually comment how fucking psychopathic it is for Gweyr to feel nothing after killing CHILDREN. Make Gweyr actually torn up about what she did to those kids and have her punish herself by not leaving the Rift because she feels that guilty about what she did and not being there for her family.

And this is shit I come up off the top of my head. Yet he does none of this because he's so hyper focused on needlessly ginormous word counts and telling his own story for HIMSELF. I legit have no idea how Kitsune content is allowed in the game because it feels like it doesn't even remotely belong in it.

It's a shame too, because Kiyoko in the amulet was actually a strong start and could have developed into the world in a much more seamless and unobtrusive way. Kiyoko herself was even a missed opportunity. She could be a lot more emotional and mellow due to yknow, being stuck inside an alternate dimension for an astronomically long time from her view. Let the player help her through the trauma of that and allow her to be happy again, even if it's just platonic for female PCs. Let me form an actual bond with my wife that's birthed countless amounts of my children.

But no, let's write about how Kitsune culture is just too galaxy brained for the PC and will never truly be able to connect with their family. People love that, right?

God I really just can't hold back my dislike for TOBS holy shit. Honestly half-tempted to rewrite all of his garbage that's in the game and throw it up somewhere.

I 100% agree with everything you're saying, and you've got some good ideas there. But I want to focus on this right here. I actively avoided all Kitsune content before even knowing how bad it got because of how out of place it felt. They're just kind of... there. Like it legitimately feels like they're a different game grafted onto CoC2. And it's staggering because there's so many Kitsune. Like there's only one named goblin, and she isn't even sexable. They outnumber everyone but dog-morphs and bull/cow-morphs, but they're all localized in one area. At least in Khor'minos there's a variety of races so it isn't "Oh, another bullguy/gal." And even with them, they all look unique in some way. The Kitsune are just so samey. Guess that's what makes them cultured though

But its not, Tobs writing has many issues that has been stated over 100 times on this forum. Just go back and read some of the rants. I'm sure most of the people wanting incest content just want to spite Tobs (he also lost his mind when people bring up incest and called them groomers) because most of the kitsune content makes your character act like an idiot and your own family treats you like an outsider. They don't even tell you about your own daughter getting married, you have to find out on your own.

I can't speak for everyone, but for me TOBS is just verbose. Even Kasyrra the main antagonist has a shorter description than a forgettable character in a forgettable location. Like I said a page or two back, he tries to be smart and witty and then fails at it. Referencing 1850s politics between the United States and Japan isn't witty, it just doesn't fit in a gd porn game. It's also just dumb because the United States never got sent back to the Bronze Age. I didn't want to bang Kinu, I felt like she was my responsibility. TOBS takes that responsibility from you, and then chastises you for being a bad father figure. I like being a good parent in games that allow me to, shit I regularly send pics to the laquine on Zheng-Shi of our children since she can't see them herself. Forcing me to be a bad parent isn't content, it's the lack thereof. If you want a route to show what happens to bad parents, then give me a route that lets me be a good parent. If you're so desperate to keep people from shagging their daughter, set up an option on the good dad route to "Make a Move" with a warning that it might not go so well. Then, if you pick the option you get moved to bad dad route.

About equally? 50/50 since most people can't stand his writing, especially the kitsune content past the astral realm arc, and the fact you can't knock up your daughter even though he's written incest content before. Really though, according to me and alot of other people, it's written that way on purpose as to better spite people to fuel whatever he gets off from watching people complain. I understand most people in real life don't have a interest in having sex with their family but in a porn game? While I have issues with Kinu its not due to that. Its rather how awful her character becomes after she leaves the amulet. Most of the kitsu content is awful in their hideout. Also that I get dragged into weird voyeur scenes whenever I go to the kitsu den if she's out of the amulet.

Not a fan of incest. The den content is just a giant kick in the face considering everything you do for kinu and kiyoko, and they're written to be totally cool with it.

I've already said something like this before so I'll say it again with a bit of edits:

"I can try making a prude character with a holy crusade of correcting the damn herms genders and that will be a more interesting and unique storyline than this piece of shit game has."

Not really a weird question. It's a pretty common question actually, usually asked by people who have either never read Tobs content or who like it. I don't know which side of the fence you fall on and considering a bunch of us were just talking about Tobs writing with only like 1-2 (?) people mentioning the kinu fuck mod in progress, this question seems a little baity but I'll bite.

I usually play female MCs and do not like giving them dicks. That includes magic dicks or strap-ons. So my MC is locked out of Kiyoko content and thus Kinu content - my thoughts on no kinu incest doesn't matter because kiyoko/kinu are not for dickless MCs. But I have read his other content, Garret, Gweyr quest, the party of kitsune who roam the frostwood, Convocation of Mirrors, Elyon, the lady Evergreen quest that leads into meeting the kitsune, the avanai rider in the Glacial Rift, Imad in Mallach's temple, etc. And I still don't like his writing. I don't like how he writes dialogue as part of the narration, I don't like how he seems averse to player choice in his content, I don't like how he forces the PC to act how he wants in order to make whatever point he's trying to make in his content, I don't like his pretentious responses to criticism on the forums, and I think he has no idea how to write male npc on female pc sex scenes because all of his scenes of that type have been unsexy to me.

I DO like his action/adventure bits, I think he does those well and he actually gives us various choices on how to approach situations and writes meaningful dialogue for the various companions during said scenes. But overall, if I see his name on upcoming content I know I probably won't be in for a good time. I still read it because like with the small parts of his stuff I do like, sometimes he surprises me, but he is nowhere near my favorite writer on the team. And that has nothing to do with not being able to lewd the daughter.

According to Sav and a couple of others, it's not just that - it's about Fenoxo feeling uncomfortable with it ever since he had his kid.

With the addition of Patreon being touchy about it, it probably just didn't seem worth it for the tiny amount of parental incest stuff that existed.
