If what Skandranon said about writers or the lack of them is true then I have so many questions.

Like where the fuck all of the patreon+steam money is going then ? Is Savin just pocketing half of it and the rest goes to coders and the permanent not!writers on staff or what ?

I know sun would sooner extinguish than Savin would be transparent with what he does to their income but a man can dream.

If I understood it right then there is not going to be more Companions as Savin doesnt want to bother, and with Berwyn more or less dead, male companions fans can just get fucked because the last companion is going to be a futa Paladin?

Im not even gonna mention Quint as a male companion, his fate in my save was "did you hear a scream? nah, must have been the wind" ;v.

We talked about the split awhile back, there just...isn't as much money as everyone seems to think.

There's 7 or 8 people on staff? And the Patreon pulls in 32k a month?

32000x12=384000.
384000 divided by 7 people, is like...50k. That's not a huge amount, and thats before taxes.

Now, that's not counting Subscribestar or Steam money, but its also not counting the several authors that work on commission, or whatever business expenses, or Patreon's cut (5-12%). So around 50k per person is probably a decent ballpark. They aren't rolling in money.

If I understood it right then there is not going to be more Companions as Savin doesnt want to bother, and with Berwyn more or less dead, male companions fans can just get fucked because the last companion is going to be a futa Paladin?

There was some pics of a buff paladin with bulge that was probably a futa, so I might be mistaken.
Still if vivienne is a female companion thats a punch in the gut for male lovers.
In regards to patreon money we dont know shit about business expenses as thats kept in house so we can disregard that, maybe the cash is not much to anyone living in America but does everyone in the dev team live there ? Eh its a bit irrelevant as nobody would pay someone less if they lived in a cheaper area.

Atugia : fem
Azyrran : fem
R.i.p Berwyn : male/fem/herm (including for completion sake)
Brienne : fem
Brint : male
Cait : fem
Etheryn : herm without vagoo (if im not wrong)
Kiyoko : fem
Quintillus: male

so far the gender ratio is : male/fem/herm of 3/6/2
after clapping Berwyn and including Vivian we got 2/7/2
where we can change another companion to herm making that 2/6/3
Im not even talking about the content those male companions have as that would just be fucking sad.

I mean why invest in a companion that nobody will use? The absolute majority of players won't care or interact with a male companion. Its the same in TITS, very few people want to invest in a character for such a small audience.

Companions are restricted to the staff, for a matter of compromise to the project and reliability.

You write a companion, you have to be constatly adding content for them, reacting to the missions and events of the world, helping the PC deal with truoubles and challenges on quests, creating sets for them, varying degrees of character development...

Writing a companion is a huge responsibility, one that you have to fulfill for years.

Eryka is not a companion because her writer, Franks, didn't make one. Whether the reason was because they didn't want to or lack of time with real life demands taking priority, it is what it is.

Wish fulfillment and power fantasies go hand in hand so porn games kind of fall into those two. CoC 2 problem is that Savin hates power fantasies, yet the game has power fantasy since everyone finds you attractive regardless of who you are. You are chosen by the main villain due to your soul, but you are not some chosen hero by the gods. There is too many clashing ideas here because in terms of power you are the weakest in your party, but still desired by everyone. Like I said, they don't really have the talent to do a DnD esque game because their own pride gets in the way to adapt.

HugsAlright left due to mental issues, and when he tried to come back he acted in such toxic ways the staff had to kick him out. So Berwyn got downgraded from Companion to NPC because the staff didn't want to give the burden of writing a second companion to any of the writers.

BubbleLord has a lot of things in real life, which is why Quintillus and his other projects are so slow to update. But more content is coming soon.

This is a porn game, so having most of the sexable NPCs being down to fuck with the PCs at some point is kind of a given.

You are not chosen by the gods, but they are interested in the PC's soul, too. You can become one, if you desire. But it doesn't make you OP.

She can transform into both a futa and a dude, if I remember right.
