I hate how Alypia writes the champ. I can't fucking imagine my champ saying shit like

" "Girl," you say patiently, "you probably just need to get laid." "

Fuck off. Why does she always write every champ as some sassy quipping girlboss? Does she not realize how utterly niche such an archetype is?

Plus being called "angel" is just...a no go. Again, it only works as a nickname for a very specific type of champ, a submissive feminine type. Alypa makes it obvious what her preferred champ is.

My favorite line in this game is probably this.

Like what the fuck even compelled Alypia to even write this? Does she actually get bothered when people even just try and offer her help when she's cooking? Did she accept someone's offer one time and the whole fucking house burned down? Was her abusive ex strangely pushy about wanting to cook together? Does she despise backseat gaming so much that it spilled over into cooking? Who even gets upset at someone who just asks if they want help? Like seriously, who actually is this offended at the mere idea of someone offering to be helpful of all things? It sounds like she fucking equates offering to help someone cook as the same level as cat-calling. This is so ludicrously bizarre that I've been dying ever since reading this shit :KEK: :KEK: :KEK:.

But yeah, legit just seems like Alypia wrote a fanfic of her OC and then just inserted a few parsers whenever gender would be brought up. PC acts astronomically feminine in all the scenes with Annika and I physically cringed when I read the line you're talking about.

I can say with absolute conviction I really, really hate when someone tries to "help" me cooking. And I know a lot of people like me. If I decide to cook, just sit the fuck down and wait. I don't need you.

If I'm concentrating on anything, including cooking, "helping" or even just chatter drives me up the wall. So yes. Also someone really needs to tell Aly that silly mode is supposed to be optional.

This seems to be by most of the non-main writers work. Write their waifu, be dommed or dom it, assume how the character would interact based on how they would if self-inserted, get bored and probably not contribute much else because you're waifu is already in the game. CoC2 has easily the least consistent writing on the 3 games though.

OK but does the mere thought of someone offering to help you make you angry? Because that's what she's implying here. Either way, it's a REALLY weird thing to write about considering it's completely unprompted and there was no reason it even had to be brought up.

I find this whole thing weird because I've never seen someone be upset by the mere offer of help, especially for something like cooking which I've always found people to appreciate help for. Like if someone's going to offer to grate cheese for someone, I've NEVER seen that be rejected.

My mother was like this (and only for cooking), which is probably why this doesn't bother me at all. It just feels natural to me :HideThePain:

I'll admit this is not the kind of stuff I'd write for a game like this but we should be used to CoC2 having a lot of random shit at this point.

is the writing better for tainted space? I was thinking of trying it out.
Marginally. There's certainly more variety and for the most part there's a consistency to Steele that the Champ here doesn't have. Fenoxo had a better grip on QA in that regard from what I can recall. That said Savin is in charge again, I think, because Fenoxo broke his dick's spirit or something by being a degenerate.

Give it a try, it's definitely the better game IMO, but best to play with the wiki open so you don't get ambushed by "content."
Yup, to second this there's an encounter you can trigger amost right at the start of the game which will lead to you being stalked across various planets by an alpha dzaan (race of futa with addictive cum). This is probably the most extreme example and can also be disabled on the first story planet, but in general TiTs will expect you to be in into kinda everything and loss scenes especially will throw you into things regardless of what you're into. When you encounter a character you like the look of, check the wiki first.

iirc you can also head straight to Riya on Tavros who will get rid of her immediately, as a way to hard-stop her content. Disabling her through the first story planet still requires you to interact with her in some way, while Riya's way doesn't.

Its simutaniously more consistent in the kind of character Steele is (despite being able to choose between 3 different personalities), more reactive to what you do to your body and the overly blase attitude the majority of the people in it have to anything but sex feels like it makes a lot more sense than it does in CoC2 where there's supposed to be a fairly large demon invasion going caused by a woman who you can access via the same teleportation system you use to get around the world.
Outside of this reactivity/consistence I wouldn't particularly call it better or good though. Its got some really weird tonal shifts (gastigoff being the most infamous, but there's also the Myr planet and their actual life-long sex slaves and the pirate base you take over yet somehow can't do anything about, among other things, the drugged up slave orgy pit (except go in their and fuck them until they're actually hoping you get tired and stop)).
TiTs for the most part is happy to just be a place to for people to place their furry, futa, furry futa or whatever OC's, make content with them, without it affecting the world and it works very well because its set in a galaxy.
While when they do the same thing in CoC it both often feels stupid like Manticores having hundreds of sex slaves each despite being a low-level enemy when the demons are supposed to be the big threat (in tits you could just have a planet of manticores and this wouldn't be too weird) or the authors are very prone to write the MC however they want them to rather than writing a specific character (ie steele) reacting to events. CoC2 mc doesn't really seem to have any defined static personality and will randomly switch the way they speak and react to events from scene to scene and it can be really jarring.

TiTs is by far my favorite of the three games but its a game you play purely to go around fucking things, not to be the hero or anything. Almost everything that happens in it is incidental to the over-arching goal or straight up actually doesn't matter.
TiTs also has the authors justify stuff more. Ie you can become addicted to sucking someones cock, but its because their species has addictive semen with an actual mechanic, not because you clicked 'suck cock' 3 times and now you're automatically sucking it when you talk to them for no in-universe reason at all and the only out of universe one being 'because the author wanted the mc to react like that'

  • Several fixes and tweaks, including slightly larger buttons that can more comfortably accept longer text outputs. The writers are very excited about it.
