Nothing new or surprising. They have had several such updates in the past.
First they removed manticore cunt-tails. Then they removed abilities tied to transformations, like Tail Whack. Then they cut Berwyn from companions, removing all the companion content he had accumulated over the years. And now they removed corrupted hive.
1 more year and they'll remove Act2 (all of Khor'minos-related stuff) because it takes too much effort tying up loose ends. And jump straight to the ending which just so happens to be a futadom orgy gangbang, no variations, no opting-out, and no choice but to sit in the chair and watch.

Holy shit. It finally happened. The long threatened hive quest rewrite is here. And it's just as shit as I expected. For once an update has met my expectations. More corruption content has been removed, a couple of small roleplaying scenes have been added that I'm sure will be worded in a way to make us seem weak as hell, they actually nerfed something that isn't the player which is surprising, and apparently Azzy is more clearly communicated to be recruitable and the method is easier. So just, fuck Moira's effort on the bimbo Liaden art I guess? I'm surprised they let you remove Liaden from the game though. I expected she'd be forced on us still, but maybe she's too divisive still among the main fanbase to warrant that option. It doesn't fix the issues with her writing and weird Azzy interactions but it's something I suppose. Liaden will always exist as a cringe romantic subplot tumor instead of an actual character.

I’ve gotta give them credit, the guys are really good... good at constantly reminding me why I’ve never paid them a single damn penny, and why I should keep doing the same!
“Rework” the quest, yeah, take a butcher’s cleaver and chop off everything they’re too lazy to deal with—genius. And it only took them like 2-3 years to do it.
God, I don’t know what spoiled miso soup is in the heads of those who actually pay money for this kind of shit...

A point in favour of Fen is that the cut planets weren't in the game, none of their content was even written. So nothing was actually removed from the game.
Unlike what is happening with CoC2...

There's one noteworthy thing in the update at the very least.
And tbfh reworking Azzy's recruitment is a good thing since it was actually retarded.

I find it amusing as all fuck.

You get the option to boot out that irrelevant tosspot of a character, they reminded me of the bitch's name on her way out and they probably fucked up a quest for one of the goofy ass unique items that keep bloating up space on your inventory. Good job, Savco, instead of a step forward and a step back, you fucking spun around. Top banter.
