See, I can understand that even if I never got the appeal (and never will, it looks like shit), but it's just a hilarious phenomenon. You can go on your regular adventure, never ever going out of your way to engage with the futa conundrum, you can actively stick with straight sex... And yet, there's a decent chance that the time the PC finds a futa, he'll (or she, or them) suddenly act like they're foundational members of the Futalovers Society, a completely different character.
And it's never like that with straight women, it's usually (possibly always, dodge them like the plague to tell) futa.
Questy kinda dipped after they were released onto the public. Judging from their posts, they really intended Shizuya to be some super cool OC everyone would love and left when that was far from unanimous. Left the forum and I think the public discord, pretty sure Questy still writes for TiTS. Questy confirmed their supposed to be super awesome badasses and clowns doing a comedy sketch and didn't want to consider future proofing for future ships. Declared them to be super awesome with military grade hardware, which slight fucking rant on this, military grade means cheap and easily mass produced for a large quantity of soldiers and to have backups, not cutting edge shit. So if Questy was smart then the "military grade" excuse would mean they should be easier to fight. Also used the excuse of ignoring the distress call despite intentionally setting the damn thing as a noob trap to prey on the preestablished learned behavior of checking distress calls. It also ignores that if you do the distress call you are stuck in this shit, you don't get to say no or express discomfort.

Questy pissed off, Nonesuch ran some damage control, I think my earlier statement was wrong and they added a skip this shitshow button because they had some serious complaints of discomfort from the content being so egregious and predatory and having no warning, and now Shizuya is forsaken. She should've been removed and had her items moved to a vendor on the ice planet or the pirate planet. I assume this shit was greenlit since Questy does so much writing for TiTS that they figured a little super special OC as a treat wouldn't hurt. Till it did.
She has some defenders, but they certainly didn't make a good case.

At first while reading the thread, I thought that maybe he wrote them as an early encounter, so that maybe the PC wouldn't have access to heavier stuff to defend themselves against the clowns.
Then a guy shows up and states that nope, they'd already have weaponry to handle them and the writer goes "no way, that's bullshit, they can't defeat Amara" while ignoring one of the hardest characters to beat (or so says the wiki) as a "creepy neuter living in the trash". Good job.
I'm fairly amused by their defense against the one guy that complains vocally about it. Little bit of gaslighting (classic) here, little insult there. But the winner really is the guy going "aw, you must think you're a special snowflake".

As for the penis, they're big enough that they might as well be. Unfortunately for Questy's wonder OC crew, that also means they can't even jog lightly or they'll have a heart attack from the strain on their blood vessels.
People need to realize that these people only write to get themselves off and hope no one with an IQ above room temperature will call them out on such cringeworthy behaviour. Seriously, Questy was unironically shocked that people thought this was ass, and came up with such a cop-out answer.

Cait to me is a character that could have been good. Whether you like her initially or not, she had the potential to grow into someone new altogether. I always saw her personality as a byproduct of the cult teachings. She's vemently in denial about what she's doing as wrong because that's what her entire life is based off of. If savin was smart, he'd allow us to challenge that and either change her for the better or worst. I feel like she could be a likable character, but there's too much holding her back from being so, aka the plot and devs. So she's just the mis-mash of terrible shit and her presence is annoying due to that. Not to mention how many threesome scenes she gets when she isn't wanted.
I can't personally hate her because she's just beneath that for me.
The thing with Cait is that the only way she could improve was to literally undo the years of brainwashing by the groomers and there's basically no way in hell Savin would even commit to it, let alone deliver.

I operate under three squad rules.
- No Quin.
- No futa unless mandatory or beneficial for a quest.
- Cait has to stay at the inn for as long as possible.
So, for Cait.
Early recruit, benched once there's enough party members to go with. In my playthrough, she lasted as a starter up until Atugia joined, which then also happened to be around the time Brint got the Brienne armor.
Which means he was on a race to cucking the almighty champion I'm a Moron. Alas, four days later, Brienne missed her chance. Of course, Brienne has the problem of getting pregnant quite regularly, so I opt to bench her whenever it happens out of genuine politeness.
Normally, that would be troublesome, but then I remember of the mere existence of the bee knight. Of course, that then in turn means she complains about not having the courage for scissoring. PC says balls to that, crisis averted.
Then I add Vivianne and Granny Phoenix to the mix and Cait's odds of leaving the bench drastically go down.
In soccer terms, Cait is a reserves member who's sole job is delivering the training bibs. She would complain, but she then remembers that Arona and Etheryn are suspended from the team over repeated aggravating behavior and Quin is begging for food two roads down the stadium.
