Honestly? Thank you for your empathy. This was the one porn game I was always super passionate about and something that introduced text-based smut and even helped me become somewhat of a better writer. I remember exciting cliking on Frn's site for new coc 1 updates, I ignore the drama because I was a teen who really didn't care about any of that. Plus it helped that it was all texted base so no-one would think I'm playing a porn game because it wasn't so obvious. I honestly expected so much for savin when coc2 came in the works. I didn't know about any of the drama that he was involved in, and was bumped how abruptly the first game ended. I'm not going to talk about how coc1 gave me the fethish for corruption, but man it had such an impact on my taste and view of corruption in general. To the point I hated easy shit like mind-control or time stop because It didn't feel earned.

Alot fo things could have been handled better if they executed it differently. You could have had azzy slowly fall for her if they interacted alot, but it's only possible through the champion. Have her battle her instincts to take another mate and be just like her mom, because Azzy truly loves you and feels indebted to you at the same time. There are so many ways this could go, could even lead to the corruption of Azzy and Liaden.

I blame him alot because I saw how he seemed to stop caring about coc in general. I wish he was still passionate and cared about coc so he wouldn't like people like Sav ruin what it stood for. I do know I'm argueing about a text based porn game like a heart-broken kid but that's essentially what i feel like because I truly loved corruption of champions for what it was and what it could be.

Honestly same. CoC1 wasn't perfect and Lethice was a letdown but it was so varied and I learned how much I love corruption and transformation content. I couldn't get into FoE but when I learned CoC2 was a thing I got excited. I was Blissfully unaware of all the drama and a rather naive teen during CoC1's development (don't worry folks I'm old and self conscious now so I'm legal). I tried to like CoC2, make excuses for it, even contemplated learning writing and writing stuff for the game. But Savin and constant letdowns and poor decisions and learning how busted the review process was completely turned me off and I gave up on it. The official forum didn't help. This is all to say I relate to your disappointment. Also I do like mind-control but I think slowburn corruption is generally better.

Yeah but that requires care and effort and Savin clearly has neither. Plus I think Skow really wanted to write soulmates and got so engrossed she forgot she was writing a porn game and didn't realize how rushed it is. Fen may not be as bad as Savin, despite his issues, but Fen is still complicit by letting Savin do whatever he wants and letting him handle the property that put them on the smut map.

As nice as more mods would be, I don't know much that's getting actively worked on. The lady from /cocg/ that did the kinu scenes has said a few times it won't get any more work until the game's 'done'

A good strategy would be to work on writing stuff on the lowdown while Savco fucks around with their stuff for a little longer and then wait to implement in when it's "done".

Either that or just bite the bullet when it's close enough. Doubt the game's going to give us a particularly interesting ending anyway... hell, odds are it'll be just another Savin wankfest to finish it off in the style it deserves.

The times when writing is just fun. I liked the really active threads where you could spin up an unrefined concept of something real fast, get discussion, iterate, and toss around other thoughts.

I can't be bothered to look up the exact details again, but I did went to refresh my memory a bit to straighten out the timeline. So way back in CoC's development, Savin and Fen had a spat and Savin when off to go make his own game using Renpy. It wasn't called Slablands back then... I forgot what it was called. Regardless, naturally in true Savin fashion, he got bored and dropped it. Then he made up with Fen and went on to work on TiTs.

So then, a bunch of people on 4chan tried to band together to keep developing it, mostly out of a hate boner for Fen but... If /slabg/ is still around on the /vg/ board, you'll see that it now consists of bots posting generic A.I. monstergirl art with no real connection or point to the game. Which is a slight step down from when I first encountered the general, where it was bots posting random monstergirl art with no real connection or point to the game.

I did attempt to try it once on my old computer like ten years ago or so and wow, it really fucking sucked. It was just generic fantasy shit with an intro so needlessly verbose and long that Tobs would cream his pants and I stopped playing before I got to even one sex scene. Unless there was a sex scene in the intro, but I couldn't tell you, because my eyes glazed over by the end of it.
