...but this is not a perfect world.
Damn, I haven't played this game in a while, decided to check the recent reviews... And well... Hahaha looks like it's on a rather big downfall, that said any games similar to COCII or TiTs for that matter?
Game is good, we just like bitching, go play it and see for yourself rather than trusting us.
"In a perfect world, games like this would not exist, but this is not a perfect world..." The game's alright, but it feels like someone made a DnD campaign and you're walking through it rather than being anyone or playing a significant part. They have done DnD tabletops together CoC style on their youtube channels but shits cringe listening to them talk. I get the impression that even though the scenes themselves are alright, a buncha nasally fucks writing type smut for this game can't be good for your health. So play at your own risk and watch your weight when you do start playing it.

On a surface, yes its a so-so text porn game. There are worse there are better.
But as soon as you start to dig deeper and analyze whats going on there it falls from 5-7 to 3-5, or even lower.

that's... surprisingly accurate as a lot of the Authors selfinsert super special OCs are form a DnD campaign ran by Savin

I've looked for other text games in the vein of CoC1/2/TiTS and I can't really find any that are as good. Maybe one or two are comparable but they don't really fill the same niche either.

It's like The Sims where everyone thinks it should be easy to beat EA because they're so terrible and lazy now but then you look at the supposed competitors and those somehow manage to be even worse if they even manage to release anything at all.

Yeah, I can't think of too many games that are like this, maybe Lilith's throne? I do like that game but the dev cannot hit a due date to save their life. There are a lot of HTML games that use real-world images but almost all of them are extremely shallow, or just not my thing
You'd think there would be way more of these considering the popularity of COC and TiTs, as well as it being primarily text-based meaning you do not have to be a talented artist.
I imagine if someone made a free engine that was for text games there would be way more of them, because after kicking the programming challenge, then all you would need to be is a creative writer. Somewhat similar to Renpy.

Sigh. Of course. When do we ever actually get to see curated content that isn't someone's wank bait fetish material? Lmao. Is this why they made CoC 2? Because they didn't like the fact that it wasn't them? And now that it's about them they're just being smug twats about it? I dropped this game awhile ago because it just has nothing to offer. A new RPG maker game will have better balancing than this, I can guarantee it.

Well if we're being honest, the people dissatisfied with these games are just a loud minority. I'm pretty sure most people playing these games are relatively happy with how they are, as destroyerofassholes alluded to, thus people aren't really motivated to create their own take on the genre. Frankly speaking, I also just think the main audience for Fenoxo games are a bunch of people who don't really care much about compelling story-telling and mostly just care about sex scenes, so odds are they're not gonna bother trying to make anything new either. Just seems like there isn't a super high demand for this genre outside of what already exists.

It's a real shame, too. The format of these games can make for some interesting stories and character dynamics if enough care and foresight was put into it, but it seems like the devs care more for slowly trickling content into the game than introducing new and fun ideas. They could be doing anything but always fall back to the same old tired tropes.

If a competitor sprung up I'd definitely jump at the chance to write for them; porn games need more gentle femdom and tomboy supremacy, after all. Seriously though, would be fucking amazing if there was an alternative of these games without all the furry stuff and "everything exists to fuck" tone. The latter completely destroys any investment in the game.

What do you mean, "if". has been around for a while. Probably most of the HTML games out there use it, in fact.

Honestly this is a bigger problem with the porn game community as a whole, if I had a penny for every game on here with 5 star reviews with no justification other than 'has nice scenes' I'd be a wealthy man. Can't say I'm not guilty of that too where CoC/TiTs is concerned though, they've been going on too long with too slow of a pace for me to care at all about the story. I still skim the flavor text but I wouldn't be too upset if they just said 'fuck the story we're just gonna add scenes till we get bored'. Long since stopped paying for it either way.

the thing is a lot of people don't even try as they're intimidated by the size of CoC, 2 and TiTS

Might be in the minority, but ever since Berwyn I've lost motivation to play this game. TiTS is still extremely fun though, love that game, it has way more variations for your character in scenes overall.

If you're looking for other html games though, Degrees of Lewdity is a better game than this in my opinion. Ambiguous enough where you can fill out what you characters motivation is, and reminiscent of COC1 more than COC2.

Tales of androgyny is a Java engine game, that is also a mainstay I keep going back to. It's a sandbox game as well, and the combat ain't too bad.

DoL is excellent but a completely different experience, since it's the "earn money to keep the game going" loop vs traditional exploration oriented RPG of CoC. So i wouldn't really include it as "game like this".

Meanwhile I've fucked off into the woods to get railed by wolves lmao. You can ignore the gameplay loop if you want to and in some cases are even rewarded for doing so. Explore the place, level up your skills, go through a character's story line, hell become a treasure hunter.

DoL is the truest meaning of sandbox for a porn game I've played since CoC1.

I've mentioned this before. but its unlikely that they'll be a real competitor to these games anytime soon, if ever.
The fanbase for these games was built up for over a decade and 3 (and a half) games worth of material. And that fanbase is where the people writing for the game come from, which means the bigger the fanbase, the more content starts to speed up.

I know this game gets a lot of flack for and claims that it releases content too slowly - but its a metric crapton faster than every other text-based game I've seen and most other games in general.

For better or for worse the circumstances that led to this game are going to be hard to replicate.
Heck, this and TiTs are probably the largest text games in existence at this point (minus maybe some MUDs).

Flexible Survivor maybe ? I know that game was worked on for many years and my myself havent even played its latest version. Im not sure if its still being continued? The downside was the interface/program to run it was kinda shit. Bad GUI etc etc and having to learn some commands (but slowly being improved with hyperlinks). I thought I would just mentioned it incase you want to check it out. It was heavy into transformations tho. Loosing, random events or even "interacting" with a the contaminated environment could have you transformed kind of thing. But alot of wierd shit too like having a companion such as a talking tapeworm, who rides along inside your ass.

Someone else mentioned Liliths throne, and they were on the mark about the dev not being able to make deadlines and takes way to long implementing things into the game. I personally think the game was too hard for them to make. But thats just my opinion, as supported it once. Game was alot of potential if they had a smoother development time. They even removed having a NPC companion cause apparently it took too much time to put into quests.
