If the writer can make something that's appealing to people who have a fetish the writer doesn't have, the writer would obviously be able to do that for something they ARE into. If you're able to write something that's compelling while not aligning with your own interests, that shows more talent than just being good at what you want to write.

That's how creatives of any kind burn out.

Only if they do that constantly, which isn't what I was implying they should do. Going outside of your comfort zone is important to grow when it comes to anything. If you just keep doing what you like constantly, the odds are pretty high you're just retreading old ground a lot. You can still have passion and write appealing things, even if they're not 100% up your alley. I'm not into femsub but I can still be passionate about writing it because it's interesting to see how I can make it appealing. I'm not into melodrama but sometimes it does interesting things if handled well so I use it sometimes.

If you're just writing to get your own rocks off, I can understand never leaving your niche. But if you're actually trying to improve on your skills and put real effort into creating, I don't see why it shouldn't be done from time to time. Cooks don't get better by making the same dish all the time. Illustrators don't get better by drawing the same thing over and over. Same thing applies to writing, even when it comes to smut.

I mean it does make sense, Etheryn being locked is a huge problem. Setting aside the fact she won't be able to sire heirs and it robs her of dignity being a member of a royal family it also makes relieving herself a chore. It's also a symbol of her sister's control over her so freeing her from the cage is an act of mercy. A writer has to be able to write from multiple perspectives and multiple fetishes, otherwise they just don't exist. They have to.

'Anal' in practice is anal catching, anal pitching, domination, submission, switching, and can encompass the vast majority of sexual interaction (not counting consequences) because what's important is the interactions between people/things/events and the contrast therein. 'Anal' is just a genre within a person's comfort zone.

Games ghat focus on a specific fetish, or a small group of fetishes generally have way better sex scenes than games that try to have something for everyone for that exact reason.

This game gets around that by having a fairly wide group of writers. But I'd personally rather each writer stick to what they enjoy and are good at than try and satisfy people who aren't into the content in the first place.

I feel like that's a bit of bias? There's a [long by NL's standards] scene in NewLife where the guy takes advantage of the woman by getting her drunk and knocking her up, but the writing is, in total, like 15 sentences. But in the writing, there are small hints of what's going on, and if you view the scene, you see your clothes are being taken off without you being aware. It's such an incredible concept that I consider it one of the best scenes among any games, but again, like 15 sentences of simple writing.

The quality of writing for a fetish isn't what's important here. That scene, or mostly any of these that we're talking about could be written for any fetish. The problem is, the interactions and scenarios in which the characters exist don't make sense.
