Oh, believe me I've read the baggage. For what seems like such a loveless marriage people have between themselves and this game it's a wonder how someone hasn't gone and made some sort of spiritual successor without what one percieves as "the bullshit".

You'd also think that after constant years of up-and-down development and endless infighting, more people would have jumped the evidently half-sunk ship by now, players and creators alike.

Especially considering the reason for said ship being half sunk is the never ending attempts at scuttling by said captain/s of the ship, whether out of spite or sheer mental incompetence.

I suppose the fact the ship still has plenty of fuel to burn while most folks still have to build their ship.

Maybe if there was like a collective effort to produce a non-drama filled CoC spiritual successor as opposed to folks trying their own shots, I feel like it'd have a good shot for a bombastic run.

Come to think of it. I don't quite remember how the original CoC got famous. I got linked to it like a decade ago thinking the content would shock me or turn me off, and instead its very unfortunate that I vibed with it.

I recall that it became really big because of the furry community. Hell, Totalbiscuit stumbled upon it because it became so famous, and was shocked that Fen was getting something like 5-digit payouts out of it.

• The Accuracy bonus from Agility has been reduced by half. That was the reason I got into CoC, and I imagine it was the same for many others.

Especially when you compare CoC to other "transformation" games, where most of the times the transformation begins and ends with a single instance of male protagonist turning into a female.

There was a game that was discussed here a long time ago. The game itself is pretty old to the point that it used to be played by Command Line instead of the more contemporary methods. From what I remember that game's TF system is actually pretty extensive and actually rivals Fen&Co's game. I forgot the name though.

I can see why you hate CoC2 so much now though. You played it because it has a pretty extensive TF system, and now its supposed sequel's lead absolutely detests TF content.

Yeah; I think I came across it on 4chan of all places but I checked it out because I have just a sick sense of curiosity and ended up really enjoying it. Started my descent into this degenerate non-sense. That said it's just porn so I am being a bit hyperbolic but I wish instead of a sequel the first game just got all of the qol the 2nd one is getting. The first one is such a better game. I actually like CoC2 too, I just like CoC1 a lot more.

I also stay far away from the official forums and all that drama. People that make it a personality trait to write smut (or enjoy it) cannot have the emotional maturity to not exist without drama. I can still enjoy and appreciate their work (when it's good) though.

Oh man, my time in CoC1 was vanilla AF in terms of the transformations. Mostly I just rolled a female human character and played my character like she was La Blue Girl--a quietly submissive girl, forced to fight sex demons while trying to protect her virginity. I'd lose a fight, enjoy the resulting story, then rollback my save and crush the enemy to continue my canon playthrough. The game had a stronger focus on the ravishment/game-over-rape than CoC2, so there was often some extra spicy content if your character was virgin/uncorrupted.

An antagonist being furry doesn't stop me from enjoying the scene, but it's not a trope I seek out, so it's kind of been a bummer that CoC2 has focused 95% on inviting furries to your camp to be your waifus and very little on being corrupted/enslaved by demons.

yes especially this, especially since I would chase down many of the TF bad ends where if you eat too many of a certain piece of food you would end up penalized.

I am one of those furries who is here for the tf stuff that put the original CoC on the map.

Oh I was like that but for bodypart exclusive scenes like the tentacledick ones, still my memories of the game are jumbled af and i dont know how much of tf exclusivity was in og Coc or if it was added in the mod.
