I've been remastering the whole game, all the code and every image for the past 3 months. I'm about a week away from being done and I'm dropping the Remastered Version. After that it'll be bi-weekly to monthly updates. The Cocktail Waitress Gameplay Loop will not be in this update, but it WILL be in the next.
That sounds good :) I love the game as is but your direction is completely trusted. I can't wait. Thank you for this lovely game.

Thank you sir. I put a lot of time and effort into them. :) But you're looking at the OLD characters. I remastered them and made them all look even better. Except for the Blonde. She's stayed the exact same.

And I don't like to consider my game a VN. It's more like, An Adult Late 90's Point and Click Immersive Sim running in a VN Engine. lol

Now that I'm in this thread, having a conversation that should honestly probably be had somewhere else, I may as well throw this out there. It's always in the back of my mind...

I'm doing the "Waitress Gameplay Loop" in my game too. Except a little different. Annika is already the corrupted one. So it's almost a role reversal. She's trying to get more money out of them by being sexy, but not every patron wants some slut trying to sit in their lap or worse. :)
And like "My life as a waitress" (I think that's the name), I also have a house cleaning mechanic. Now, Neither My life as a waitress or Corruption Town were the first time I saw these mechanics. But they're the only two I can remember right now. And I always wonder, how are people going to react when they play mine? Triple A companies take mechanics and update them all the time but this is the AVN world. Much smaller community.
Are people going to be like, "Another adaptation of this gameplay loop. I'll try it out and hope I like it."
Or will they be like "Hey, bitch, I saw this in another game once!"

That's what I wonder. And I guess we're going to find out in about 4 weeks.

At least I'm in this category. If something works and I like it, I'll definitely try a similar game with open mind. I've yet to meet 2 games that feel too similar and and same, and doubt it'll happen as there's always at least the story behind the mc.

To be fair, both "Corruption town" and "my life as a waitress" borrow a lot from "karryn's prison", so i guess the creators can't feel robbed or offended. Now about the people that play them, i imagine they want something solid, with a few tweaks, and with innovations or new cool ideas. Because what is the point then? There are other games that already do that loop.

- More interactions at The Limping Duck are now animated. They're locked in the recollection gallery until you see them once. You don't lose progression on them if you load an old save.


- More Drunk Defeat cut-ins for penetration; old ones are now animated.


- Moaning added in some cases during the mini-game


- You no longer get corruption XP from observation


- Corruption XP required per level ~divided by 3


- Once scripted content is completed, you can buy missing variations in the recollection gallery for 500 gold each.


- Some systems are now locked behind corruption goals to provide a better early-game experience; on loading an old save you'll miss a few of them until you complete a few shifts.


- Slowed down the pickpocketing mini-game (The loot you get is no longer random)


- You can pickpocket awakened clients but have a chance to fail


- Bukkake corruption goal now requires 80% coverage (was 100%)


- Recollection vignette not properly updating between saves


- Skill prerequisites not wrapping


- Removed 'Show complete dialog for every interaction' and 'Always select reaction during dialogs' options. These are old systems and are no longer supported or expanded upon.


- Unity security fix

- Various fixes and tweaks

Yes, there aren't many sex scenes and the game is slow in its story, but you have to consider the potential it has. Give the developer time to figure out what works and what doesn't. A prototype is being presented at the moment, but it could be very enjoyable.
Well, at this stage of development the developer recites there is a possibility to play the game while staying "pure" (which is subjectional of course). Problem is, even if the player decides to indulge into a vice at every possibility, the income shrinks to the point it's no longer sustainable to pay the rent, which brings the landlord interactions. I can't even think how staying "pure" can get the player past week 1 without going deep in debt, and it took me only a couple of days of playing to figure it out, not months of development.
Now, a much better example of a game that offers some choice is Degrees of Lewdity.

But I did point out that it has potential and that he should figure out which path to take to make it viral. If he continues along the path of purity, it certainly won't go forward. In the end, let's be clear: the people here like to see strong stuff.
