Could be many reasons. Maybe more people work on it. Maybe they are more talented. Maybe just more time. We dont know. But I know if you give some a bunch of money to work on something they usually work on that something. But expecting top tier content for free or general content for free and then complain about it as if you paid for it is beyond reason.
And what you paying for it is his life. Or do you think he couldnt do better stuff with his time?

Is the next update going to be a big update with lots of gameplay and story progress or just mini games and very small amount of story

You don't need to react in such emotional way to a simple fact that this dev do not produce for each release the same amount of images that other developers produce in the average release window if 2/3 months release cadence ( with around 2000-3000+ images).

Art is not there clearly, animations are very short compared to most of the decent games released here.

So we are at the same point, why is it taking too long?

Maybe the answer is: this dev. do not take care about the adult aspect of the game (images, art, sexual interactions) and it is more keep to develop mini games that have little to do with the adult aspect of the game.

If you want to be a zealot or an emotional followers of something/someone, I advice you to join a religious group. You waste your energy in lobbying this developer...

I'm pragmatic and respectful to what the devellopper is trying to provide BY HIMSELF, and FOR FREE. Not to mention its multiple plots which have all been worked on. But as I ALREADY said, he's focusing on a part he didn't know he would few weeks ago, since he asked the people to vote.

I won't feel the need to keep on chatting with you, don't bother going further, we'll both save time and energy, braincells for my part.

Corruption Town - CheatMod

Made a simple plugin to control progression speed, you can edit everything in the config file.

For Corruption Town v0.9.4, might work with older / newer versions depending on the changes made between updates.


Features
  • Corruption XP Multipliers: Boost Global XP or specific body parts (Mouth, Butt, etc.) individually.
  • Barmaid XP Multiplier: Level up your rank faster with a job XP multiplier.
  • Skill Points Multiplier: Get more skill points per level up.
  • Alcohol Multiplier: Get drunk faster or stay sober forever (set multiplier to 0).


Note

The story might behave weirdly if you're too corrupted early so keep that in mind


Installation:

Install
You must be registered to see the links
into Corruption Town game folder
Drop CheatMod.dll into BepInEx/plugins, run the game once, then edit the config file in BepInEx/config/com.stupidpotatoe16.cheatmod.cfg to change values.

I've tested it for a few hours without issues, if you encounter any either open an issue on gitgud, send me a PM here or reply to this message I'll check it out.

Software development and Games development is not the same though, just like Web development is not the same as Kernel development even though they're all software.

You're comparing apple to oranges, all of the games you cited in your post are mostly VNs where they do basic scripting and create 3d renders, there is barely any real logic (except maybe story conditions) while this game is based around mini-games which take longer to code, test and maintain. So VNs developers spend most of their time rendering scenes and writing story while this game's developer probably spend more time writing code than rendering scenes.

Seems weird to me that you complain about the dev working too much on mini-games when it's the core of the gameplay, everything right now revolves around the waitress mini-game, which is honestly the best waitress mini-game in an adult game.

It should be pretty obvious for any software developer the differences in complexity between those projects
