Yeah, and it's normal, there's a bug in the game preventing you to get the points from the mayor family speech.

I really wonder how people achieved to pass the 50%, because I past one hour looking at a way in the code, and there's none. Those two consecutive lines of code broke everything:

                                $ speech_event = True
                                $ mayor_rate = 1

You need the first one to have access to the campaign speeches, but the second prevent you to have the 10 point because they are conditioned by this:

                if not mayor_rate == 1:
                    $ support_rate += 10
                    $ mayor_rate += 1

And there's really no other place on the code where speech_event is raised, or when mayor_rate value are changed.
It's like for the casino, a not that have nothing to do there and that break everything. But at least this one I can (and will) fix it with my mod.

Therefore, unless they past this part before Mr.C changed the condition to access the campaign speech, or when someone release a temporary fix, they just can't have reach the 60% support needed.

I finished the revised, extended and corrected version my walkthrough.
Way more complete and precise, I think that the only parts that isn't in it is the club, that is relatively obvious so far (expect the game that I'm still not sure to have understood), and few really secondary characters like the barmaid in the uptown part, and the hostess at Utopia, for who you've just to interact, again and again.

I tried my best to make it both explicit and easy to use, what isn't necessarily something obvious to do in a post on a thread. I hope that I achieved to reach a good compromise on this point.


On a side note, and as implied a little above, I also released an update of my "Better Experience" mod to release an emergency fix.

when reaching 50% and get extra support from band slave. you just need the support of the mayor's ex-wife 5 times and ask the secretary about the chance of being elected it will increase to 100%

You need to have enslaved all of the following; School, Police, Church, Ex Mayor's Family, Hospital and 'Exciting', The band from the TV station.

With those your approval rating should be 60% and this should allow you to enslave the Mayor's secretary and that should give you the option to win the election. So if you have not enslaved one or more of those, that is what you should focus on.

Simple. You just go to "work" and grind the money for the potions. There's nothing else you would need cheats for. A play guide would be usefull to know how events trigger and relate to each other, but it's not really required.

Pretty easy, Work the School when you can, focus on family til they're corrupted enough to put on shows, Shows make money.

Someone has posted that the code has been messed with by the dev which may have made it impossible to reach 60% for some.

I would advise that AON's Better experience mod might help, but if the code is broken I do not know what will happen.

If you attach you save I can have a look and see if there is anything you have missed that may allow you to continue.

Fuck me, downloaded the game for some quick fap and somehow my main file is corrupted, when I load the file it goes into the rollback thingie, if I click ignore it goes to the beginning. I got this safe file from october 2020 but its still going to take some time to catch up. Why did it happen anyway was it my fault?

Install Ren'Py SDK and try to launch the game through it.

Make sure RenPy SDK is stored in the same directory as the game. As soon as you run SDK the game should be listed on the left side's panel. Click on it and click on launch.
