Like, I get the sentiment, but with what's going on in that restaurant on the sexual side - I'm pretty sure growing up with a relatively inoffensive, depressedly drunk dad would be about 20 times less traumatic. Not everyone is a natural perv like Akari. That's if we ignore the whole age factor.
What I can see, tho is the MC altering the deal somehow, probably starting to pay an actual wage to Catherine, while either wiping off the debt or keeping it strictly for "fun times". Like he can pretend all he wants, but his hero complex is already at "white knight" level. Or maybe she would become the new waitress and he can just buy an industrial dish washing machine and a bit more plates - that's how it's done in most restaurants where I am.

I doubt that the MC will change the deal w/ Catherine, as both are stubborn, and she sees the "flaw" in the plan. Also, if you do the math, if she does a dishwashing, and send some photos daily, and maybe a few sexy punishments, she will pay it off by Christmas (100 days). She won't relent, as the MC will win, and he won't relent, because, reasons.

I doubt the MC would let the girls (Ella and Ivy) move in. Reggie won't allow that, Mary sure as hell won't (because it would prove that all is not right with the family - appearances). However I don't doubt that they would be allowed around for dinner, and hang out a bit. They would be gone by the time there was extracurricular activities in the evening.

This is most likely the explanation. Lucy had a abusive mother and was also bullied at school, so the two big pillars in her life where she spends most of her time were not really enjoyable for her. Therefore she spend hours at a place where she was alone.

I decided to replay the game again, and when asked while cleaning, Lucy actually does give a sort-of-answer. "Sometimes.... my mother gets mad at me..."
Whether that is to get away from her mother or if it's because she gets kicked out of the house and has no other place to go, only Cosy can say.

would say the first her mother wasn't "sometimes" mad at her from what we know and saw so the best way for Lucy to be safe was simply not being there

yeah i thought lucy used the place as a getaway and found some purpose caring for the plant. there was brief mention of clearing out the back garden for her so i hope that happens eventually i think it will make her happy

Probably when they are done w/ school. 1) the are starting the winter months, so gardening isn't really going to happen. 2) When they are done with school, they get several hours a day back, where they can actually do stuff around the house.

oh that makes sense i always forget about the time and date because it hasnt played much of a story role yet

Not sure how to actually submit a version of the game, but the ~6.5 GB I had to download was a bit much...
I just converted all webp images from the "Scenes" folder to avif images with a compression of 75%.
This results in around 2.5 GB less data to download.
The quality was also almost the same (checked on a 4k display).

Because Renpy does searches all images in the sub folders everything should still get found.
(I skipped through a bit, but didn't check everything)


I don't have a script on hand to change the videos and compress them appropriately, so the videos itself are still ~1GB.
So there's still quiet a lot of room for improvements.
Maybe I'll get to that at some point...

Though admittedly I have a feeling rachel will be a huge optional choice cause half of us probably hate her. I am curious with Annabelle though, definitely thought she would come into a bigger role. Gonna be a fun future development either way when the sudden "11" strikes. I'm sure its a bit of foreshadowing.

Rachel wont be optional, but I assume some of the lewd content with her will be. Some hate her, I trust Cosy will redeem her.
The rest of the characters are all well written and interesting, even with their flaws, no reason for Rachel not to be.

It's genuinely surprising to me that some people have the computer know how to convert the game's files into better compressed ones but they don't have the know how to type "compressed" into a search bar. Like I know neither of those are particularly hard but knowing how to do the first but not the second is real weird to me.

Oh, it's rather easy.
I know a bit about programing (not too much), and as you might have seen I am really not much on this website at all, so I don't know how everything works here.
(With this comment I have written 7 in total since the 3 years this account exists)


I usually never read the comments, because they usually don't matter, so I have also never searched for any and didn't thought about it because of that. (I usually only search for titles)


And in general I do like to try some new stuff and not always check if the stuff already exist... (I also wrote a small script to convert the images, instead of downloading a program that can do that)

But, you are correct, I should have checked if one exists already. That would have saved the time uploading the file.

you know the funny thing is if he did follow the same path with her,he'd get complaints that its same thing with everyone

I can't believe it wasn't until this update that he decided to make his own lunch instead of always complaining about how crappy the school lunch is. I'm surprised he doesn't make one for all the girls.

The update was ok, but not as good as some of the past ones. It was cool to see the MC connecting with Sarah, but it felt like some of that was just being dragged out for filler to have a big number of renders. Hopefully the next update won't take 5 months to come out. This is still one of the best games that I've played.

I share the same thoughts as you, but I’m sure Dev/Cosy has got something in store for us in the next update or so. Fingers crossed on it.
