VN Ren'Py Cosy Cafe [v0.13.1 EA] [Cosy Creator]

I was wondering this myself, there are only so many options for possible waitresses if Cosy wants to go with a character we have met already. Rachel is an obvious choice, being "domesticated" by the MC and turned into a waitress; Elizabeth is far too headstrong right now; maybe, a very large maybe for Annabelle, right now she seems too clumsy (and we dont really know her motivations besides ingratiating herself with the MC); maybe Chloe has a change of heart, probably not.
My guess is either Rachel, or the childhood friend we know is going to show up at some point, although I feel like introducing someone new to the fold like that so quickly isn't a great idea. I suppose we will have to see

If we get a non-LI as a waitress, I was thinking of Samantha - given that she is such a big fan.

While I like Annabelle - her clumsiness near the MC does not bode well for breakables if she became a waitress.

I figure that Akatsuki and Akari talk regularly, and this would be the 'in' for Samantha - perhaps Akatsuki passes along her number, for example.

I also wonder if, having a woman as enthusiastic for the MC as Samantha (and she is pretty as well) might not prompt a bit of jealousy from Catherine (Samantha is new but wants to please while Catherine is headstrong and still Not fully onboard with Team Fletcher).

Samantha's arrival might also prompt more active participation from Hannah on how to get her engagement to Brian ended.

Cosy said that the next release will cover 2 days so we will get a lot of content when it lands.

The waiting will be hard, but the landing of the next release will be a thing of beauty!

aren't you all forgetting a possible Main? Elizabeth? .. kinda still up in the air what her role is,but i think she's ganna get integrated somehow.
i doubt misaki will be working full time at the cafe she kinda like allison,but its possible they fill a shift or 2 when its really needed
samantha is curve ball IMO, if she ends up working at the cafe.
Annebell is obviously to clumsy to be a waitress,as adorable as it is she'd cost the cafe to much in broken plates etc.

my money is on rachel though.
The fact the cafe needs a new waitress and her offering herself would be the only way i see her getting into to mix properly right now.
to much drama for any other angle,aside from her putting herself in a similar situation like the office scene and having to work off her "debt" like cathrine.

Samantha knows Akari at uni, so quite possibly she's studying something to do with the restaurant trade...The work experience could be another attraction for her with such a job. That said, I'm not seeing how a non-LI who is obviously attracted to the MC would work there and remain a 'side' character.

As for Annabelle being clumsy...We could end up with a repeat of Vicky stripping during training and/or Annabelle ending up with a VERY sore butt...even more fun with Vicky now being the head waitress.

That said, I think Annabelle's involvement will be more with the FF side of the story. I suspect that currently, she needs some kind of help (a favor), and in the longer run, that'll pay off with her helping the MC in a political sense (maybe she has some info? Something like knowledge of Gloria Russell being 'dishonourable' enough to sway Mr Gilbert about Hannah)

Worth remembering that Akari is a 'main' character...She hasn't played much of a role yet, but something is in the works there...

I think the rivalry between Catherine and Hannah does that already. They mightn't want to admit it, but neither will allow the other to get ahead.

I think this wouldn't be a problem at all if game assets were packed in Renpy RPA files. In that way it wouldn't rely on filesystem naming quirks. Anyways thank you for this amazing game and amazing update, small issues like this can't spoil all the fun we have!

A question for the crowd.

Any guesses what Annabelle's surname is, and where she fits into the FF 'structure'?

It's killing me that MC doesn't just turn to one of the FF girls and ask which family she's from.

Being blonde could suggest Russell, but that's hardly definitive (one of Sarah's sister is Blonde after all), and platinum blonde indicates it might be a dye job anyway.

She was also at the Hamilton party, which would hint at her being aligned with that faction, but again, that's not an absolute...


As a separate point....The parties after the Council meetings are held by the hosting family, so...
1) It seems like Hamilton hosted twice in a row. ( the party where MC got 'outed', and the one after last council meeting ).
2) There will, presumably, need to be a party after the Fletcher's host on Tuesday.

I think Annabelle is from the functionaries "family" (or group, or whatever they are), Dont have much evidence to support this, aside from the fact that Annabelles mother is one of the people who attended the party and the meeting on Tuesday.

Mostly agree.

Vicky, Akatsuki & Catherine...We might get a nice pic (not a bad thing...), but really, it's a bit meaningless from a character/story perspective.
As someone mentioned, Lucy doesn't have a phone yet, so something could develop from that, but again it wont be much more than a nice pic.

Sarah & Hannah both have the potential to progress their character arcs/subplots forward, so would seem the more likely candidates.

I'm a Hannah fan, so I hope it's her, but I think with the Sarah/girlfriend arc reaching it's crescendo on Friday, it's more likely to be Sarah, just to give that a little more impetus.

Case-sensitivity is a very typical issue in pretty much all branches of programming depending on the languages and environments you work with, and a common pitfall for amateur programmers who only work under Windows. If you use a case-sensitive OS or work with websites at all, you run into it sooner or later

If the connection is correct, then it would seem Annabelle might be related to a 'regular petitioner' (rather than a functionary)...which may or may not be a family member, but given that family members can raise issues before the council, I'd imagine they probably are.

If she is, it's most likely a 'not so close' one...similar to Chloe at school...One of a multitude of nieces of some FF head or something. (I'd actually assume such people are the majority of the FFs).

Still, being something of a regular petitioner would explain at least some of her interest in the MC...She wants/needs his support for whatever she and her family petition for, and given how determined she is to get to know him, it seems she/they want it quite badly.

I wonder what she can/will offer in return though, especially as she's not joining the Harem...It's possible that mixing in those circles might means she's picked up some information which could be useful to the MC.

3 options come to mind...
1) She helps MC establish/strengthen clan Fletcher, removing doubts about validity and/or adding some wealth/influence/power (not sure how this could happen, but to be fair, they do kind of need it...Currently the Fletchers make the Bennetts look powerful).
2) Providing info on Gloria Russell acting dishonourably enough to sway Mr Gilbert, both factionally and about Hannah. (this seems the most likely).
3) Assisting in Elizabeth's plans to tear down her mother. (this could flow on from '2', but is probably more a medium/long term thing...Much as I might like the drama stemming from having Brian heading the Russell family).

format. That was a separate thrill when you accidentally add some symbol into your filename and you can't open it or rename after that. So I got a PTSD back then and always, always name my files only with latin symbols without spaces, special symbols and in lower case only . And this bio issue still shows us that even 30 years after we still have this problem and my PTSD is useful even today

Fantastic update, amazing how much was pressed into one day.

I replayed the entire game to get to the new stuff which informed my thoughts

I think the secret to MCs success with all the girls is that next to none of the girls come from happy or healthy homes, and he shows them all what it'd be like to part of a happy and healthy family, and them offers them to be part of that family.

Don't forget Rachel was turned on when she saw the banging in the break room at school, so she is ripe for the picking.

To quote Lucy "She doesn't deserve it".

I trust in Cosy Creator 's vision enough to see where it goes though.

She wont be the first girl/setup I haven't liked (Misaki being anonymously groped by the MC on the train didn't sit right with me for one...), but as things move on, good writing means things tend to work out.

That said, maybe the role she plays is for Lucy/Hannah (others?) to finally use a meaningful veto....
So..
1) Rachel expresses interest (maybe witnessing a couple of spankings hugely turned her on.)
1a) MC demands full/sincere apology from Rachel to Hannah to Hannah's satisfaction (if I was MC, I'd already be telling Rachel that this was a requirement before she can even talk to him...So this would be before '1').
2) perhaps some minor activity before the girls are informed and have a chance to consider it, then..
3) Lucy (I'd add Hannah, but she probably wont have veto rights yet) vetoes.

*if* it goes any further...

4) Rachel devotes herself to trying to make amends with the girls. (A path akin to Catherine, but more directed towards the girls).
5) redemption arc.
6) veto is lifted.
7) She get's to choke on MC's cock.
