Dev preference is the main reason for no hair, though I did a poll on discord once that found the overwhelming majority agree. Shaved vs waxed is simply a model limitation that I have no control over.

That's a shame... you've made some really wonderful characters that have unique personalities, it's a pity they can't reflect the full spectrum of possibilities cause i think you'd end up with some killer looks beyond just hair and accessories. Like bodies, you've done a great job there, different heights, boobs, asses, waists, skin tones... but all have the same eyeliner and shaved cooch... i think it stands out to me simply because it's discordant with the rest of their uniqueness...

I'd prefer some on at least some of the characters, for the sake of variety if nothing else. But I've been told more than once that my tastes are unusual (as another example of which, I tend to prefer a smaller bust).

There are a few choices within the game, but the only thing that happens is a scene is extended or not. No story elements are changed or branched.

I had some friends visiting from out of town for brunch. They weren't here yet, so I just fired up the VN, used a lot of skip (like right clicking skip takes you immediately to the next choice instead of having to watch everything in fast forward). It's less effort than I expected but more effort than I should have put into it. There were a lot more "choices" than I remembered, even if it doesn't really matter for the plot.Boring sunday?

Hey guys, it's mini-dev-log time again!
As predicted in the previous one, rendering progress was a little slower over these last couple of weeks, with 160ish new renders completed. Much of my time was devoted instead to working on new maps, characters, and outfits, all of which take much longer than you might imagine to put together!
Fortunately, that marks the end of the map creation work for this update. Though there is still a lot more character and outfit creation left to do for the second day of the goth event.
Next, aside from the constant rendering process, I'm expecting to begin animation work on the second animated scene for the update over the next few days. There will be a total of 4 this time around, all using the new animation method I told you about a few dev logs ago, so by the end of this update I'm hoping to have a sound grasp of its use!
With all that in mind, I'm thinking my preliminary release date prediction of October 4th is looking increasingly unlikely. Serves me right for breaking my usual habit and setting a date so early! I'm still gonna work my ass off to try and hit it, but ultimately I'd prefer to keep the quality up and push the update by a week or two (I can't imagine it being more than that), rather than rushing it.
Speaking of quality, I really am super happy with the renders I'm producing now! That mod overhaul I did at the start of working on 0.13 is really paying off now that I'm getting used to all of the new things it can do. From an outside perspective, you may not notice it as much if you don't spend all day every day looking at them like I do, but whenever I see people posting older renders on social media, it really hits me how bland they look by comparison!
And that's all there is to say for this one. As always, thank you for your support, and I'll speak to you again in a couple of weeks with the next dev log!
