I am so excited for this update. Here are my predictions as to what I think will happen

And here are my predictions guarantees:

No matter what the new content is or how good it is:

(a) entitled trolls will post negatively because the update didn't have X content or Y content (their personal fetishes)
(b) entitled trolls will post that COSY is "milking" somehow - a generic broad-stroke catch-phrase with no actual meaning that is completely irrelevant on F95, a pirate site where we get everything for free
(c) entitled trolls will post that the update was "bad" because something they thought would happen did not...and so that must mean BaiBai is "stupid" or "X" (replace X with any number of low-brow insults) because he didn't write HIS STORY to their expectations.

Sigh.

Cosy Cafe is the only game thats always enjoyable for me. With other games its a coin flip with updates.

Unironically playing for the story and not the lewds.

Even though there is no doubt a lot of effort in them, I think the lewds are the weakest part of Cosy Cafe. And with that I purely mean the visuals. Those honey select animations just break immersion for me and look a bit silly like bunnies going at it with their short repetition cycles. Those scenes where Cosy chose to make multiple non-animated renders were imo hotter and kept me immersed - after all the whole VN happens with non-animated renders and my mind is used to translating it into motions.

I prefer either near-'animation porn'-animations or multiple single renders with descriptive writing. Normal honey select animations just cannot live up to the quality of the rest of a good VN like Cosy Cafe.

The multiple non-animated reders with discriptive writing approach would imo be suited to Cosy Cafe as Cosy is very good at descriptive writing and the lewd scenes setup is always really hot.

I'm not calling Cosy a scammer, but 6 months between releases is a bit much. I've been a subscribestar for awhile now, and this update has been the longest between. I'm just saying, if this is the release schedule going forward, it's not what I initially thought I was joining.

It is what it is, I'm afraid. On a 4 month release schedule, if I take a couple of weeks break over Christmas (my first time off in two years of development), then spend a couple of weeks fixing bugs with the new UI, and then make a slightly longer than usual update, you very quickly get up to 6 months. Having said that, I am going to aim to have the next few updates be faster.

Hard disagree! A lot of games on this site take far longer than 6 months for similar or less amounts of content. On top of that, at the start of his break Cosy said the next update would take longer to come out because of the break. And in basically every progress report he has mentioned how long the UI fixes are taking.
Also, every update for this VN has had more content then the last, it makes sense that, as updates get denser, they will take longer to come out.

But my point is that if anyone is really a subscriber - and not just saying they are like a whole mess of posters here do - then that site is the place to post complaints about subscriber issues, not here. Why would fans of a game who watch its thread on F95 want to see the thread pop up in their Announcements because somebody came to F95 to gripe about issues on a different site? It's like someone going to one restaurant and holding up the line by spending 5 minutes bitching at the hostess because of a bad customer experience at a different restaurant.

I think people realize quite quickly what kind of person a dev is. And you can see it ingame aswell as in the thread that Cosy lives according to values that get increasingly rare in these times.

Men like him usually follow through unless they realize they waste their time with something - upon which, I have little doubt, Cosy would tell you day 1.

I think Cosy is honest, forthright, and kind down to his bones.

That said, I was also surprised this update took longer and asked about it a while ago. Aside from the legitimate reasons given by Cosy, I think the updates were more frequent and shorter in the beginning.

I appreciate the response. I'm a big fan. I understand the UI issue has been a nuisance, and holiday break as well was an expected stop. I'll probably feel like I got my moneys worth once the update hits and I get to experience more story.

Edited to add: For those artists who release on a longer schedule, Jester, Caribdis, Dr. Pink Cake, I support them when it's nearer the release date, or in Being a DIK's case I purchase the full releases on Steam. I still want to give the creators my support.

Love the game but I have a question about the lesbian tag for the future updates. Is it going to be just having sex and doing things with the girls like at the end of 0.11 or will they start kissing and doing things like that with each other ? I know most of the girls have already said that they are straight and I definitely prefer it to stay that way.
