Like, I get the sentiment, but with what's going on in that restaurant on the sexual side - I'm pretty sure growing up with a relatively inoffensive, depressedly drunk dad would be about 20 times less traumatic. Not everyone is a natural perv like Akari. That's if we ignore the whole age factor.
What I can see, tho is the MC altering the deal somehow, probably starting to pay an actual wage to Catherine, while either wiping off the debt or keeping it strictly for "fun times". Like he can pretend all he wants, but his hero complex is already at "white knight" level. Or maybe she would become the new waitress and he can just buy an industrial dish washing machine and a bit more plates - that's how it's done in most restaurants where I am.
And I'm pretty sure Catherine is gonna get to girlfriend before Hannah - unless something out of left field just jumps in, I don't see Gilbert switching sides before the time-skip.



Now that's an interesting possibility, tho I'm not sure how smart it is from the political side of things. I'm willing to bet that (or something similar) was what his grandpa did and how he ended up outmaneuvered by Gloria. MC should learn to play the game, not ignore it, otherwise he'll end up in Reggie's position sooner or later.

I don't think that's true. There's a bunch of instant/microwaveable meals in their kitchen, the girls likely just want something fresh and different. I'd also be willing to bet Cat's giving up her lunch money to feed her younger sisters too.

While true. I don't think the girls are going to give up the free cafe food for instant stuff. Probably have it for emergencies and as a general back up.

Speaking of Catherine. That has me thinking of another probably unlikely prediction.
Since we saw her doing some "cooking" for her sisters. I am thinking MC is going to teach her how to cook. And Catherine is going to become the backup for every positions. Cooking and waitressing along with her probably still focusing on dishes.

They aren't that poor, Hamilton clearly takes care of the bills and provides some form of allowance. Nobody cooks, because Cat has no skills in it (and honestly doesn't seem to have much time left since she got in to the MC's orbit), Reggie is drunk and their step-mom couldn't care less about them (she obviously has the skills). I fully expect us to see more of them - they are fun and they show off the actual Catherine - so yeah, I expect them to be regulars at lunch, just not moving in the harem house.
Honestly, until he can turn the tables the MC could solve the money problem by just throwing a fit at Hamilton in the right way (Something along the lines of "I can't marry a beggar, you know, I am already stretched thin" or similar shit). Or just plain do some horse trading for it.

Leading me to the fact that he either has to learn or has to suffer. And if we have to be honest, he doesn't hate learning, he has no motivation about it - that's different. He pays a lot of attention in class now and he was doing his homework with Lucy and Victoria that one time. The moment the Alison throws a fit in front of one of the more responsible girls about it, they'll find a way to motivate him, I am sure

Leading to my second question from this update... how much has Reggie lost everything and how much the Hamiltons made him think he has lost everything? Maybe throwing Alison at the problem would uncover a lot of interesting stuff, especially since it's very obvious Cat's mom thinks of her self as a Hamilton trough and trough. How more despicable is that Hamilton head? Granted it might just be me disliking him and assuming the worst, but still.


On a side note - I don't recall Lucy ever explaining how she ended up coming to the coffee. I don't think she is hiding anything, but I do think someone pointed her at it (I just can't imagine Lucy breaking and entering on her own) and I wanna know who. Was she a test, thrown at the MC to judge his character - a pretty, vulnerable girl for him to save or condemn or abuse? Was it Alison - she knew who the MC was and that he was comming (on that note... how much of a hand did she have in that shit)? Was it Hamilton, trough some proxy? It's been bugging me since I played the game for the first time (at 0.7).
Or am I just thinking waay too deep about it.

Instead, I have a feeling she had the food delivered from the Hamilton kitchen right before everyone woke up. We dont actually see her cook anything, perhaps she just plated them? But even that might be too much.

It could be nice if Catherine gets some cooking lessons. Even at their age, I think Ella and Ivy could spend a few hours with the MC and pick up some basic skills so that they could make something simple and not starve until Catherine gets home.

well she never said she read there only that she watered the plants
but i would imagine she would hang out there to stay away from her mother as long as she could without getting into trouble , like it done her any good her mother belongs in jail

I kinda want to see Vicky getting Danny to deal with Lucy's mom. It would be the ultimate full circle for their relationship since Vicky could view that as her final redemption for Lucy

Considering it's been a few months since they went bankrupt (Catherine joined the regular school this year) the hit was a bit reduced, unless it was their mom/step-mom going on about dieting and shit.

This is most likely the explanation. Lucy had a abusive mother and was also bullied at school, so the two big pillars in her life where she spends most of her time were not really enjoyable for her. Therefore she spend hours at a place where she was alone.

I doubt that the MC will change the deal w/ Catherine, as both are stubborn, and she sees the "flaw" in the plan. Also, if you do the math, if she does a dishwashing, and send some photos daily, and maybe a few sexy punishments, she will pay it off by Christmas (100 days). She won't relent, as the MC will win, and he won't relent, because, reasons.

I doubt the MC would let the girls (Ella and Ivy) move in. Reggie won't allow that, Mary sure as hell won't (because it would prove that all is not right with the family - appearances). However I don't doubt that they would be allowed around for dinner, and hang out a bit. They would be gone by the time there was extracurricular activities in the evening.

I decided to replay the game again, and when asked while cleaning, Lucy actually does give a sort-of-answer. "Sometimes.... my mother gets mad at me..."
Whether that is to get away from her mother or if it's because she gets kicked out of the house and has no other place to go, only Cosy can say.

would say the first her mother wasn't "sometimes" mad at her from what we know and saw so the best way for Lucy to be safe was simply not being there
