The question is not domination, but why concede power. He could just behave in a way that wont cause the problems Vicky is worried about without letting her set limits in stone or making promises he can never take back. He could just choose to keep it to 10 GFs and the problem would be solved in the same way - but he'd still have the reigns in his hands.Wait... how many marriages do you actually think start with the wife saying, "please use condom when sleeping with other girls"? Not saying it doesn't ever happen, just that it is so far off of a typical marriage that it is laughable.
Also, I think that the amount of domination that a man applies is ideally proportional to how unreasonable his wife/girlfriend is (unless, of course, she is just totally into that sort of thing). None of these girls shows any sign of trying to get over on him. Besides, he has the perfect leverage if someone did try that--Just say, "Oh no, you're going to hold out on me unless I put you above the others? Whatever will I do? Guess I'm stuck spending more time with my half-dozen other girlfriends, who all love me unconditionally, without playing any power games."
Since marriages are not arranged anymore, they usually start with casual dating.
Edit: Your last part was always the biggest selling point to not promise monogamy lol. "Disarmed!"
