# **Public Release of Chapter 12!** #

Hey guys!

Version 0.12 is now available to everyone, for free, on PC, Android, Mac, and Linux.

The update contains an additional 31,000 words, 2250 renders, and 44 videos, covering days 27 (Thursday) and 28 (Friday). This one mostly focuses on character progression with the love interests, and has some really great scenes!

Saves: Fixing a few remaining issues with the new user interface has once again broken old save files, unfortunately. However, it should all be sorted now and it won't happen again! To avoid replaying old content, simply start a new game and select the option to start at day 27!

Patch: To avoid you having to download the entire game again if you don't want, I've included a (completely optional) patch only version for this update (desktop only) - as long as you still have your old game files, you should just be able to add this patch to them and you'll be on the latest version! (instructions contained within, but it's pretty straightforward)

Someone has absolutely no fucking clue where they are, what day it is, or even who they are...

...Okay, that last one is pure conjecture, but I would not be surprised if that someone has no real grasp of that one either.

The dev did also post the 0.12.0 -> 0.12.1 patch notes in discord. At the least, it should reduce the conversations about the 13 LIs and Annabelle not being on the main page.

• Fixed issue where top left UI would always display day 1 dawn in replays - it now says "REPLAY"Changed dawn screen to show the month/date instead of the old day number
• Moved Annabelle into the main section of the character bios and added tabs for her in the galleries
• Minor grammatical improvements to a few hundred lines from 0.9 content onwards
• Fixed a bug where the gallery images for Lucy and Vicky from 0.1 appeared after the more recent images.

Reading all these comments in the last several hours, I just am left wondering, what are you looking for in a game? This game isn't really a slice of life game, as the minutia of daily life is really left out. Yes the characters go to school, but the boring stuff goes by in a quick scene/click and then the actual content happens. The MC is not sitting on the toilet, doing paperwork for many clicks, etc. Everything that is done progresses the story. Each day there are 2-5 events which happen, to progress a girl's story, or the overarching FF story. There are some fun things along the way like the Cosplay stuff in the Cafe. Most people like the girls playing dress-up and seeing them in different costumes. I also am seeing comments on how the resolution of the ticket book was "anticlimactic" Well I disagree. While yes, it was Rachel who stole it, as predicted by many, her punishment scene was very emotional, and setting up her redemption arc. Anyways .. overall I don't see much wasted content here. There is not long 15 minute internal expositions about a situation. The MC has a conversation, and the story moves on. It is a complex story, with many moving parts, and years worth of mapped out story. Most people like that.

You know the joke about 90% of everything is trash? The reason for it is that about 90% of audiences want trash. Just look how (and this is after 12 releases) there are still people who came here and bitched that the update was "trash, just a dumb BJ scene". Sadly, for anyone enjoying quality stuff, it's rarely popular and we should just accept the unending stream of idiots looking for a quick fap on some mutant-looking model and enjoying Crybabies level stories (yes, I have a toddler at home I know what that shit is).
And I'll argue Cosy Caffe isn't that much of a complex story. Well, it is in the field of porn-games, but overall it's what one expects from a competent novel.

As for the story being kinetic as mentioned a few times... I'm usually not a fan of kinetic stuff. It's excessively easy to throw some side-choices and let the player influence the story in some minor ways, without bloating it too much. I can think of several examples in this game, where I would implement such stuff and it would be at most half a dozen renders and 2 hours of writing for each. But, hey, It's Cosy's story, to each writer his own and he does a marvelous job at telling it

Why did the MC suddenly start loving two of Lucy's stalkers and a girl who despised him? Four girls in that harem were "bad" at first, but the romance developed as the story progressed and everyone knew each other, and their backstory became known. It's probably the same with Rachel.

You should download full 12GB even if it takes a day extra, game is worth it.

Now to your particular issue, if you have path like "CosyCafe-0.12.0-pc\game" and when pasting mod to that folder you get a prompt to replace files. There is a very good chance that this mod will work fine with your peculiar setup (I can't guarantee it though, since you say its named differently.) Compressed versions are generally worse in quality and hence low in size, but they never touch scripts. So mod should work. They only reason this is confusing is because of the line "LQ actually being named different".

If you want to avoid all that, just download full and patch with this mod. It would work fine. Otherwise hit and try, all the best.

Yeh, I should probably take the time and just redownload the whole thing - it'll take a while due to filesize limitations, but I already played through it, and I have the time now.
Also, I checked. Turns out it's just the image folders that have different names, so the videos should slot right in.
So I'll download this anyways, and can try.

As I understand it, not all main love interests are part of the harem. The confusion arose because of inconsistent placement of main love interests in the gallery -- some along with the harem members and some along with the side girls. If I get this right, now all main love interests are placed together, regardless of their membership or not in the harem.

Guys, you are making confusion between "Main LIs" and "Girlfriends", as we know the actual "Girlfriends" are limited to 10, but that doesn't mean that all the others are "Side Girls". It just means that all the other girls in the main tab are "Main LIs" without being proper "Girlfriends".

You are exactly right, I was there saying , if that particular folder is present and is being asked for replacement. It should ask for replacement otherwise mod won't actually work as this is a fully open game instead of standard rpa files. If it was just rpa, the mod will automatically take over without over writing anything . So overwrite is required here
Edit: There is also a chance that number 10 will increase for everyone thinking that it's limited. The only limit is Cosy's imagination, and that's already epic

Unless you are applying a patch. Patches are specifically designed to overwrite a previous version. However, if you have a new full download, then yes, I concur with your statement.

You are correct about the patch. I have never used a game's update patch. I have heard of some problems with doing so. I've even experienced a few issues with it. So, I didn't even think about it. I have always downloaded the full version and unzipped it to its own folder with the same name as the zip file. For example, 'CosyCafe-0.12.0-pc'. This way, I can always revert to a previous version if I want to. Of course, I usually don't want to.

After playthrough n+1, I'm greeted with such an obvious theme for this game; that the fact that I haven't thought of it before actually makes me wince. Parent's disappointing their children. Is there a single instance of of the main characters where this isn't loud and proud? It's so in your face for the entire playthrough that I guess I missed the forest for the trees.

Yeah, does not break the immersion for me at all. Way too many people out there consider themseves good/decent parents when they just are not. You don't have to be Lucy's Mom levels of abusive to be a lousy parent, just the standard level of narcissism and inabillity to be objectively self-critical that applies to a great many people in 2025...
