Cosy hasn't committed to Charlotte's role whatsoever. All he's said is that she's going to appear at some point. Depending on his writing and the public's reception of her she might end up a recurring character or she'll be done once her story's over

  At this point, I'd warn against anyone drawing any conclusions about what Elizabeth and Annabelle's final positions/relationships with the MC will be. They're both going to be very important characters, and they will both have plenty of content - that's about all I've given away about them. I'll also add that what happens with them will all make sense when the story is revealed. Charlotte is the only one that's somewhat up in the air and may not end up with a significant long-term role. Personally, and this is a completely out of character opinion from me, I hope that she isn't recurring. I just really like Elizabeth and Annabelle. Since they're likely going to have less content than the main 10 I feel like adding a third in just means even less content for Elizabeth and Annabelle. It sounds like one of his biggest concerns is cast size so I think there's a good chance she'll just be there for her storyline.
Plus as much as I'm a sucker for the childhood friend trope, the childhood friend who I don't think has been so much as mentioned or thought of in almost 3 years of development just doesn't have that same emotional ring.

Agreed. I love Annie in Eternum, and Lucy in Between Humanity (though not so much Darci in Ripples for some reason), and the "childhood friend" thing is a big part of it (though the fact that they both have obvious crushes on the respective MCs certainly helps). But they're there at the beginning, and we see that relationship (and the relationship they want) right up front.

I guess the counterpoint would be that, though we're close to 3 years of development, it's only about a month in game time (MC works fast). That helps a bit, but still--childhood friend who's had a longstanding crush on MC shows up and finds out he has four live-in girlfriends. Even if she doesn't find out about the others he's messing around with, how do you think she reacts?

Nope, I'm expecting 2 more before the time skip, then for the time skip update itself I'll probably make it quite a long one with the skip in the middle so that it's not coming out of nowhere at the start of an update or leaving on a weird cliffhanger at the end.

Just played through all this in a few days. When the game launched and the timer read Year 1 and Sept 1 I figured there would be more than 30 days worth of content, but the quality is great.

ah, one to solidfy Elizabeth into Flecther's team huh, this probably will be a long one since indirectly Alison and Hannah reconciliation with their father, while breaking away from russel's alliance

Just got done playing the most recent update finally and goddamn do I find Annabelle just perfect. All of the main girls are amazing in my opinion, there isn't a weak link in the whole bunch, but I'm really looking forward to Annabelle getting more involved and joining the other girlfriends. Praying there isn't some "she was secretly forced to spy for blah blah family" shit. Just let me enjoy this adorably clumsy sweetheart who wanted a new friend.

Fully agree she is great. If we dont get to keep goth Vicky give me goth Annabelle! Hope to see a lot more of her. Im not even sure who Charlotte is that everyone has mentioned but fully in favor of Annabelle over introducing Charlotte

You guys realize what Annabelle asked, right?
She just asked to be friends with a head of a founding family. Talk about catapulting oneself to the higher layers of that society. She probably went a step bellow Alison in influence by winning that competition.

Ok, even I don't completely believe myself here, she is just too sweet. But it is a possible interpretation. My personal bet is on a Hannah or similar type situation - I don't think she has sinister motives, but I'm sure it's not just "lonely girl seeks a friend". Unless she stays completely as a comic relief.

I cant think of the name but the old man and his team that oversees the council meetings. He mentioned the families dont talk to him or respect him but mc does. So possibly Annabelle wanted to be his friend as a way to bring him closer to that faction. Annabel treats FF people the same way as functionaries and house staff do. But if she was related to house staff or was one herself there is no way she would get invited to their parties as a guest no matter how hot she is. These aren't frat parties after all, they are for a certain social class.
My personal theory is that she is indeed related to the functionaries somehow and the reason she gets invited to these parties. Maybe the families hope that by being nice to her they will get on the good side of the faction/family that are supposed to be neutral. This would also mean she gets invited to Russel and Gilbert parties.
But that would also mean she would see these people as fake friends just like the MC did at the Hamilton party and when she saw how the MC was treated before and after the reveal she felt some sort of kinship? I'm betting when the MC met her in the corridor after Mr Hamilton's announcement and she stumbled and fell is when she was heading home because she couldn't stand it anymore.

Sarah and Catherine only say Annabelle's not from a main family. Could easily be that she's from a branch family. Related to the main families but outside of the line of succession or ruling circle. There were too many people at the function for them to all be in the ruling circle and with all of the polygamy there's way too many children born into the families to keep them all in the main family's line of succession. I don't think Cosy's expanded on the politics of succession but I suspect after being detached to the line for a generation or two a person in the family would be considered a branch family member rather than a main one. Then they'd likely still be invited to functions and potentially involved in match making but unless they marry into a main family wouldn't have an avenue to join the ruling council.
Just my personal interpretation of it all though.
