not sure if it's relevant, but there seems to have been an old post that stated that part of rachel's character was because of her mom's influence. plus, iirc, rachel as a rape fetish and derives sexual pleasure from being manhandled, overpowered and assaulted. so she tries to overcompensate by going in the other direction in public.

still though, the dev might still change the plans and the characterizations are not yet set in stone.

This is more or less what I was going for with the writing. The extremes of "She should be thrown in a wood chipper" and "The MC should grovel at her feet and apologise because she's a girl", while the first is completely understandable at this point, aren't how I see it. Maybe this is a little chauvinistic, but I just never took her seriously enough to rise to the level of despising her - I've always seen her more of an unpleasant nuisance possibly in need of correction.
I think you nailed it tbh. Just like the previous user, i also felt bad for her and have always thought that she's more of an annoyance rather than someone to despise (although i'll admit that i've always thought that she's cute, so i'm a bit biased).

Still, it's not uncommon for weirdos in this site to get all edgy and lean to the more extreme takes, even more so when a character has that "feminist/PC" trope, so i don't think you should take it as an issue with the writing.

because you write the story and know where it goes. But if Brian were less brain-dead or his mother gets wind of Rachel and how she talks MC gets fucked and not in a good way.

He can say bye to education, his cafe, and a good chunk of his time on this planet.

Why did they set up Alison with Brian, if he is to marry Hanna when they are 21, and he is now 18, and Alison is 27, she would be 30 when they married, why wouldn't they match up an older man for Alison instead of a younger man?

It's because the head of the Russells is Gloria and not her husband. and Gloria only has 1 son so basically no other option

Probably because she could handle him, both being much more headstrong and independent compared to Hannah and being older and more experienced. Her being older then Hannah also probably played a role (they would probably have been married earlier - at 18 and 27), seeing how the founding families act as typical nobility, even if they don't call themselves such. Older children have stronger claims, usually and this translated to daughters also, even if to a lesser extent.
Somewhere a while back I theorized that their dad might be pissed at Alison in equal parts because she shoved her much less capable sister in to a marriage with Brain. Like, I don't know if it's good research or intuition or if it was even intended, but so far Cosy has written a really, really, really realistic nobles, including their weird (for modern people) mind-set and world-view.

Sarah mentions that all children are ranked, first from first to last wife, then oldest to youngest, yes. It's why she never expected to have anything to do with the family stuff. And likely why her mother (herself probably more of a late surprise wife (secretary originally I'm guessing) than anything) tries to get Sarah involved in the family business via MC. It would inevitably increase her rank by default.

I see, makes sense I guess.

Does the dev ever do bonus/special renders for the plebs/non-supporters?
