Edit - disadvantage is, that more new story lines mean more lose ends storywise. And all the other job don't appear worth playing at all. Did anyone encounter anythig really worth mentioning working at summit market? And I would consider the Quickieburger-job utterly boring.

Summit Market has the advantage of being the closest job to your dorm, but you won't find events that can raise your pay or get you bonuses like QuickieBurger. I don't think it's ever intended to be anything more than that.

I'm in the same camp; working at the River Rat doesn't really fit the character I'm roleplaying, but I feel like I'll be working there all the time from now on because everywhere else will have basically no content by comparison.
Similarly, I'm also worried about the content pushing the boundaries of believability. Could a college freshman, straight out of high school, really become a bar manager?

I find nepotism to be quite believable. Whether or not the River Rat quest actually uses that angle is a separate matter.

There is a roadmap and still lots of content to be unlocked, and/or maybe revised in the future.

The RNG success rate needs to be revised imo. Someone else has said that they could increase the chance everytime a event failed to trigger, like a pity rate. It's ridiculous that I haven't triggered the QuickieBurger union event so far, and no one here seems to know how to reliably trigger it. Even the game's code doesn't give any info on what variables I have to meet iirc.

Update on the virus situation. I used a virtual machine to download and scan the files. Both the .zip and the HTML file from Itch.io are cleared by virus total. Unless there is a trojan hidden in one of the images (which is unlikely) everything should be fine.

I'm fine with it. Again the game is still alpha/beta at best. If the game had major events every day, to get your PC laid for example, it would become boring quick. DoL has plenty of days without any sexy bits, which helps the days with to stand out. IMHO if you expect more frequent RNG events to happen here, you're playing the wrong game.

Take it easy instead, build up your character, relationships with your lovers, rivals, cheats, etc. Inspect your surroundings, the NPCs and their personality. A bit like Sims on steroids or Rim World, I hope this game allows us to build our own stories through emergent gameplay, not as a linear succession of forgettable postcard events that are only enjoyable once.

From just looking at the code and not having played it, yes. There's this random event which lets you agree. Note the requirements for a specific bar upgrade.

Does anyone know if there's a mod that allows when playing as a male to force their partner into doing a certain thing like what happens to you when you play as a female when a male forces a certain action by overcoming you?

edit: Nevermind apparently they won't allow it, or at least the moderator (Falco) of their discord has this grand notion of it's against Patreon guidelines when they're literally already breaking Patreon guidelines when they're already allowing forced penetration as a female NPC.

I wouldn't bring out this subject or they may change it for the female MC. They eliminated the forced sex for male MCs, for giving and receiving (I play as a gay male. There is no forced sex even on dangerzone seed)

Minor quibble with the new content. I was working as a server and then got the message from my bff that we should go check out the river rat and it has some internal dialogue about 'sounding sketchy', which is obviously weird considering you already work there.

Alright guys. I was trying to reinsert all of the code changes I made to the game's previous version to fit the new version but I kept running into issues so instead I made a mod patcher so that I can automatically patch and depatch the game with all my mods everytime a new update rolls around. I'm not sure if a tool like this already exists, but I'll upload the game files with the patch tool with all the mods I use.

You guys can make your own mods too if you want.

Main Modding Instructions
1. Download KittyPatcher.zip
2. Put KittyPatcher.exe and the mods folder from KittyPatcher.zip in the main folder of the game, where CourseofTemptation.html is
3. Put the mods you want in the mods folder
4. Double Click KittyPatcher.exe to add the mod(s) to the game
5. Done

KittyPatcher.exe/py
This allows you to apply any and all mods you have in your mods folder to the game in a double click.
1. Put the mods in the mods folder.
2. Double click KittyPatcher.py
After doing these two steps, the patcher works by automatically replacing code in the HTML to modify the game code.
You need the latest version of python installed for it to work.

Store mods here so the patcher can patch your game.

Create Mods Simple
1. old code 1~new code 1~~old code 2~new code 2~~old code 3~new code 3
2. Name file [yourmodnamehere].mod
3. Put it in mods folder

Tips:
1. You have to make sure there is only 1 instance of the thing you're trying to replace. If you try to replace frequency: 40, with frequency: 640, thousands of instances of frequency: 40, will be changed and you'll have to delete the CourseOfTemptation.html file entirely.
2. If you're creating mods, it's best to do so in Notepad++.
3. You can also replace dialogue, but it's very tricky.
4. Try to avoid putting spaces before or after the ~ key separator.

You should also be able to modify any other Twine HTML game with this but you'd need to change the HTML name in KittyPatcher.py.
