They had her grow like a foot taller and went from an A cup to like a C cup, plus her hair grew out to shoulder length. This was because she went through a ceremony to make her officially a priestess of the church of worshipping the MC. Seems she was supposed to go through that ceremony many years earlier in her life but for reasons I will leave out of this to not spoil any more, just happened in the last update, I think. The fact that she did not go through that ceremony until now was given as a reason she was a smol in the first place.
It wasn't last update, it was a while ago

But yeah, it kinda sucks. The game otherwise has a pretty wide diversity of bodytypes, but flatties are free to discriminate against. I don't know if it was the Dev's fault though, could easily have been Patreon - I remember them doing some similarly bullshit shenanigans with one of the Harem Hotel girls.

That was why I put the "I think" qualifier in there. I played this before but I waited for a bunch of updates to pick it up again and since that happened not too far from the end of the current build and that posters query, I thought maybe it was from the last build.

Yeah, it may have been forced upon them, so I am not getting mad about it, just disappointed, takes away some of the cuddle factor. I would have been happy if we never had sex with her but just kept her as a loving cuddle buddy without sizing her up.

If you want to be technical about it, the reason behind this had nothing to do with the story, but Patreon's rules. When Crimson High first was being developed, Patreon didn't have a problem with small characters (loli like) like Jun. However the website was facing some serious backlash, and potentially investigations for distribution of CSAM. So the company changed their rules about child like characters, and as such it made creators start to scramble to find ways to have the characters. Jun was the most problematic in this context, and her eventual change to tall Jun, is a perfect way around that. Though, to be quite fair, early scenes with her before the change may still skirt Patreon's rules. (Wouldn't surprise me to see those scenes removed, honestly).

The main issue with Jun, I might note, wasn't just her small size. It was her childlike behavior. How she would run up to the MC, give him a hug, giggle, and run off. That raises serious red flags to Patreon, and it wouldn't surprise me in the least to find out that the developer had gotten warned by Patreon that if this character stayed the way they were, and continued that behavior, then the Patreon for Crimson High would be wiped from the platform, and any and all revenue from the site would be stopped.

I get why it was done, I even mentioned in another post that I would have been fine if there was never anything sexual with Jun. I am just going to miss her giggly cuteness. It is like taking a puppy away from me and suddenly I have a more serious, grown dog. Still will love them but you will miss the cute version.

What does that even mean dude, are you telling me Patreon has staff literally playing every single game posted to the platform to completion

To some extend, yes, though they do rely on as well. As is mentioned in their (current) :
Potential policy violations reach the Trust & Safety team through channels such as:
  • Moderators on Patreon’s Trust & Safety team, who proactively review works.
  • User reports submitted by creators, fans, or external stakeholders.
  • Automated detection systems that flag potential violations.

  • Hey there

Essentially, yes. If at any point they detect certain things which they deem to be against their terms of service... then that patreon page vanishes.

Some things they list as being against their terms of service are:

Incest

Sexualized minor age play

Sexual violence

Fetish works involving bodily fluids (e.g. blood, feces, semen, urine, vomit).

Bestiality

They actually go into some serious detail about what they don't allow; but it's for these limitations that quite a few H game creators have moved away from Patreon. Those that have remained have gone to great lengths to do so. Such as here, with the changing of Jun's size, and the rather common 'boilerplate' you see of "all characters are 18+" and games not allowing you to modify ages, or relationships.

Even the game "Big Brother" ran afoul of Patreon at one point and was nearly shut down for some of the content it offered in the game, prompting a series of rebuilds to get around that and keep the game in production.

Why not just censor the patreon version and post a patch elsewhere
