Hmmm... Okay something seems off with these virus alerts.
I got it off Mega with the client, but AVG goes MENTAL if I try to run it. I'm literally unable to make it an exception since the second I try to run it AVG throws it into the quarantine.
Is it because this is an EXE that seems to unpack itself and apply some patches in the process? The AVG error message seems to imply that at least. :/

The game having to become consensual sex due to the changes on patreon have all but killed anything I felt for this game :/ no dog, have to initiate sex scenes instead of enemies touching you and you get rewards for doing so, and most likely thanks to the " fetish content that is hard to distinguish from non-consensual sex." thing (unless im misunderstanding) The aphrodisiac spores that forced Alice to have to masturbate, the BE plants that made her uncontrollably horny, and the Warped sentry/Allune (futa) will have to be altered as well. This is pretty much dead to me, sad to say. Unless someone can tell me exactly what is being changed.

Until we get the v.28, there's no way to tell. While Anon42 did say he would make changes to the game, none of the patch notes indicate that anything has been changed regarding the H-system.

He's gone into much more detail regarding this topic on the so check there if you want more info.

I just wanted to first thank you for letting us preview the game, as to the new rules I think removing the beastiality/vore and some of the more traumatic parts of the game seem perfectly fine. As to the rape context, all you'd really have to do is put in an option to 'submit' to a scene or resist the scene. I think people know what they're getting into but it sounds like my preferred scenes like the Alraune/futa is staying in anyway so I don't mind it so much. Though if the game is going full PG, that'll be a massive disappointment.

Aphrodisiacs and the mentioning of them are most likely being removed, the thing that drew me to the game in the first place. I'll reserve judgement for now, but so far im not liking the changes. Let me be clear, I don't blame Anon, they have to make a living and losing their patreon will definitely be counter to that. It's just that this game was shaping to be one of the greats to me and now its going to be run of the mill vanilla or it'll be a good game with bland sex scenes, and at that point i'd rather (personally) it just be a game. (it also SEVERELY limits what enemies can be added, so creative enemies like the bees and dogs and such won't be seen hardly.) I realize there are fans of vanilla, btw, so im not asking them to be removed, Just not a personal fan.

Before I get into anything else, let me first say, thanks for all the kindness on here everybody! Didn't expect such a warm welcome after some of the things that were said before I arrived. And thanks for switching the topic up so it's no longer labeled as RPGMaker, much appreciated.

Well I read up on it. The game is changing to consensual, enemies will not have sex unless you choose too. Also sounds like Anon is going to keep the tentacles unless told otherwise, Adding more lines of dialogue to Gameover CG's to make it sound more consensual. Not sure where you got that information, but only half of it is right. Tentacles are staying unless Patreon explicitly forces me to remove them; dialogue and expressions for some (most?) CGs will be changing slightly, wherever it could be misconstrued to be nonconsensual; the Hellhound is being removed and replaced with a functionally similar, but visually different enemy, and the insects just got a simple redesign to appear more alien (screenshot of the new design here: ).

Let me be very clear on this next part: Unless Patreon forces me to change them, futa enemies, the aphrodisiac-like stuff, and the BE vines are not being removed. I'm really confused where the misinformation is coming from there, since I've never stated anything about the BE vines after these changes started, but now you've heard it directly from the developer himself. The whole reason I'm pretty much okay making these changes is because none of them really change the core of Crisis Point. If the aphrodisiacs or BE mechanics had to be removed, I'd be a lot more upset about this.

Also, since some people were wondering, v.28 does not have any of the H-mechanic changes yet. Didn't have enough time to remove them for that update, but I'll be making an effort to get them switched over for v.29.

For everyone concerned about their antivirus being triggered, the reason for that is that Game Maker .exe's are unsigned. That's just the way the program is, so unfortunately it commonly triggers false positives. Feel free to google around if you're concerned about it being an actual virus, but I can assure you there's no foul play afoot. I tried a different way of exporting the game in v.27h1 (exporting as a single .exe rather than a .zip file containing the .exe and several other data files), which seemed to trigger a LOT more false positives, so I went back to the old way with v.28.

cant seem to progress after exploring everywhere i could in deep soil, i got the trishot, found the checkpoint, the kilogrip, got the 5th health upgrade piece, unless i can already swim (downward below the surface) idk what to do, plzz help :( how do i progress and get to the 3rd boss?

Thank you so much for the clarification on this, and yes had some misunderstandings. I thought that could be counted as non-con with the aphrodisiac stuff, (since its a form of non-con in a lot of things, like hentai.) As for the BE vines I was reading the ULMF forum and in response to someone worried that you wouldn't have the vines, specifically this "the vines in the jungle scene pick her up and inject concentrated aphrodisiacs into her body making her mandatory sex with anything in the area, similar to the spores that the alune send out too and scientists brew... what exactly will happen then" and you then replied with " As for the BE state, we have plans for that, don't you worry." you were talking about changing the way you got the state, aka removing the vines So just a big misunderstanding. Thank you for responding. You are one of the coolest devs I know and just the fact you took the time to address my concern personally has just earned yourself a patron. Those are the kinda people I support. Keep up the good work! : D

I mean access to the game is all fun and good but people should really consider supporting the dev on his Patreon. This game is pretty much on part with a bunch of games you can get on the 3DS or Steam. Even if you take away the porn aspect, it's still a pretty fun metroidvania.

3rd boss is in the jungle zone, once you find the tiki statues there's a switch to lower it. Double back, and you can continue where the tikis were. When you start finding Alraune then you know you're super close to the boss.

It's an hommage to Metroid for sure, but why call it metroidvania? No offense just a pet peeve of mine...

This game does not use game design and mechanics that are similar to games from the Castelvania series. It is strictly a Metroid "clone". And it's pretty good!

Just because it's a clone of Metroid doesn't mean it can't be classified as a Metroidvania. All the game needs to take to account is

I guess the important thing is that people can see what kind of game it is.

Yeah, doesn't help the term "Metroidvania" is a total clusterfuck in the first place. Best to classify CPE as a Metroid clone and let the topic rest.
