I think you might be mistaken. Considering that that is primarily what Croove creates, and that they uses Blender, I highly doubt that they're going to "suddenly switch off" of 3DCG. I know they have mentioned that if it's going to be another VTuber for future videos, they would like it to be someone who already has a 3D model available to the public, since they're not really confident in creating their own models.

I also wanted to share a quick update on the HMV project.
I’m still wrestling with music issues.
Using commercial music for monetized videos is a no-go.
Royalty-free music isn't an option either. My videos fall outside their license coverage. The adult-only videos.
AI music just isn't quite there yet in terms of quality.
So I’ve been toying with the idea of making the music myself.
It feels kind of ridiculous, but I’m doing my best to find a legit way forward.
Composing it myself is just one possible route.
If a really good AI track shows up out of nowhere, I’d absolutely consider using it.
Anyway, still a long road ahead.

I'm exaggerating a bit but a lot of Croove's music videos are heavily connected to the chosen song, be it vibes or the actual beat of the song (like camera shots or intensifying the thrusts), which makes it hard for there to be alternatives that really work. Though, also, that's just my own opinion, and there probably is an idea where everyone wins.
(And I feel like Rio's video is a good in-between, having some music, syncing up a small bit, while not being defined by it. Obviously I want HMV stuff more but if we get Rio styled videos as a series like the VTuber streaming videos then I'd be very happy.)

YES! exactly like the Elvis video you tagged! Just release it without music. But keep the motion/transition sync with the beat of the music that he inspired by. So by right, Croove never actually use the music. Is it make any sense? can Copyright bullshit still apply here?
about the patreon payers. Croove can just hint them a day later or before he release the "musicless HMV" by posting random shit like "This song make me chill some how (attached youtube link).

I'm hoping he'll come around on it soon and realize it's not a big deal for him to use copyrighted songs in his work. He uses copyrighted characters after all...
