This is through Flowframes right? I've always wondered how does it manage to scale down the size of the videos so much, while increasing fps to boot. There has to be some loss of quality right?
No, i use FFmpeg and Video2X. The reduction in video size is due to re-encoding. Yes, re-encoding a video reduces the quality.

Sorry, I gotta ask.
  1. Do you first convert the FPS to 60 using Video2X before downscaling?
  2. How much would you say the file size changes (from original > 60fps > downscaled)?
  3. Is Video2X CPU intensive?
Thanks!

1. No, it will only increase the processing time.
2. Approximately 2-4 times, depends on the source file (e.g. WA2000 - 3.65 times file size reduction)
3. Yes, but you can reduce amount of threads for processing.

I see, so do you only use Video2x to increase FPS and compress the video? Can you share your settings?
