The development of Chapter IV, titled "Ghost" starts today! Since I’m feeling burned out after working on Chapter III, the following will be postponed until the Chapter IV release:
- Typo/grammar corrections,
- Outfit menu,
- Chapter selection menu,
Note: The official walkthrough is taking much longer than expected, so I won’t be able to finish it anytime soon.

Sorry to hear DuskDuck is feeling some burnout after that last chapter. Hopefully they pace themselves and can keep pushing on without it getting worse. I really like this one and would be a shame if it dies early.
Thank you for the post, you have done excellent work thus far. We can wait for next update. Keep up the great work.

Any type of rework should be done after the game is completed or almost at the finish line.
I don't know if dev is working alone or with some help. So i understand the semi burnout.

I just hate that it takes almost a year or so to get a update. but thats just me tho

According to the developers own words Chapter 2 took 5 months to create, and chapter 3 took 7 months to create, 2 of which are because their real job started getting really busy. DuskDuck has already said the next update should take shorter than 7 months, provided their job doesnt act up to much we can get another 5 month patch. That is faster than multiple AVNs and the content we get is still very good.

I'd love the update to be tomorrow but I never push devs for speed, even the ones I pay for. Games that are rushed tend to suffer a drop in quality. I want him to tell the story he wants to tell and release it because it's done, not just because it's time.

Saw all the hype about this update.
I think it was the weakest part of the whole game yet.
Unlikable characters, death of an LI, deus ex machina out of nowhere, and constant simping on LIs even if I decide against it.nit to mention that almost all decisions were meaningless.
The fight scene was ok, but due to the harsh cuts between it was very chaotic, and unnecessary so.
We'll see, dev got some leeway with how good the start was, but this was so lackluster I hope they'll find to the former quality.

I disagree, I think this chapter and update was the best yet as far as I can tell, but sure has some flaws. The emotional roller coaster and the MC has the biggest fight scene made it all the better. Before chapter 3 was just building the foundation of the MC in a way. He trained, explored, somewhat fought, and met new characters, that was basically it. This whole update is the real beginning of his journey and it sets the mark where the real story begins.

I can agree with the sharp cuts during the combat scenes, and everyone can have a character they don't like. But what is with complaining about a lack of decision or the MC chasing after every girl when the game is built to be a harem and clearly is going the same amount of choice in a typical AVN? Lack of real meaningful choice is present in many AVNs with even Eternum being a big example. And if the game has a harem route, 9/10 the harem will be the canon path the default dialogue will choose, you can chase the girls you like and end the route of others but don't be shocked.
It might be better to not put expectations on this game around content that is unrealistic and never hinted at.

I thought it was strong enough that I joined the Patreon. Seriously (see sig - sad that there don't appear to be fan sigs yet), but this is an exceptionally strong story. I like all the Lis, although Yua is still my #1. In most of this chapter the MC didn't have a lot of choices, but a real person living those events also wouldn't have had many choices. He was pulled along by historic events, and powers beyond his understanding. There weren't many points when he could have opted not to do what he was doing, or chosen a different course of action unless the goal was a quick death. I mean, I would have loved to have stopped attacking Yua, but he wasn't even in control of his faculties at that point.

Phenomenal writing, better than some cultivation manhuas i have read, keep it up dev. I wasnt feeling it at the start but it hooked me later.

Great story so far, I just hope Yua doesn't get together with Alto (which is most likely going to happen). Harem route aside I've always had a soft spot for childhood friend type romances, and for MC to mostly likely come back and just make her fall in love again and NTR Alto. I feel an AOT ending is come for the beginning of ch4(which isn't a bad thing per say but anyone who finished AOT knows that the story ended while this story is continuing). Side note even after the fireworks why didn't she just confess I feel like a lot of the choices you can make show a clear sign a romantic interest.

You say that based on what? haha.
If anything, every scene with Yua shows how devoted to the MC she is, I cant imagine the dev would pull a move like that just to facilitate some "stealing someone else' girl" scenes
